At one point, a Nikki Bella versus Paige match for the Divas Championship was scheduled for the WWE Battleground pay-per-view, but those plans were reportedly nixed when the WWE decided to debut the NXT Divas on RAW last Monday.

Speaking of Sunday’s WWE Battleground pay-per-view at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, as of Wednesday, WWE had sold just 10,500 tickets for the 14,600-seat setup. This would be the weakest advance for a regular WWE pay-per-view this year, not counting the Elimination Chamber which was originally a house show in the smaller American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, and not promoted like a pay-per-view. As a rule, pay-per-views held in St. Louis usually sell out which is why the Scottrade Center generally gets a pay-per-view every year (the last time it didn’t host a pay-per-view was back in 2011).
