How I Would Book The Money In The Bank Contract Cash-In

The Money In The Bank contract-cash in moment can honestly be one of the most exciting times or it could turn out to be a failure. In my opinion, if WWE wants this cash to “heartbreaking” story-line wise, there has to be an under-lying story as to why Baron Corbin cashes in on that exact moment.

Think back to when Randy Orton cashed in on Daniel Bryan at the 2013 SummerSlam PPV.

There was an under-lying story there which we soon found out; that Triple H, did not want Daniel Bryan as the face of the company. Therefore, he choose to lean in the direction of someone who he thought would represent the company well. Another example would be Rob Van Dam; where the under-lying story was that he wanted to put ECW on the map again & take the prestige away from WWE. Now, in no way am I saying that every cash-in has had a story behind it; which they do not, but this upcoming cash-in has the opportunity to have one.

Since this all centers around the WWE Championship, I am going to provide a few thoughts on it. I know many of you are not too fond of the Randy Orton/Jinder Mahal feud over the WWE Championship. If you are not aware, there are rumors circulating that there will be another match between the two at WWE Battleground in a Punjabi Prison match. Hear me out for a second: Its established that WWE viewers are over and done with this feud but regardless of that, isn’t this the point of a feud. One & done’s are done too often in the WWE & I respect the fact that SmackDown Live’s creative team is at least attempting to tell a story between Mahal & Orton. At Backlash, Jinder was the guy who nobody thought WWE would take a chance on, then he won the championship. Next, at Money In The Bank, Jinder retained his championship in Randy’s hometown because Orton was furious due to outside interference. At Battleground, this will be the final match between the two because this is how a  big feud is supposed to culminate, ending in a big match. The Punjabi Prison is all that will be left to do because this feud has come to that point.

You keep the WWE Championship on Jinder, we all know John Cena is coming back to WWE TV soon, but I have a feeling that he will be putting Nakamura over at SummerSlam, so I will leave him out of this equation. For SummerSlam, possibly put Jinder Mahal in a triple threat match vs. AJ Styles & Sami Zayn. Doing this would be an automatic assumption to some; that we would be heading back into the era of AJ Styles but, in a shocker for the “biggest event of the Summer” have Sami Zayn take down Jinder Mahal.

Zayn is slowly becoming the internet underdog and people are starting to back him for a push. Remember, Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn have been feuding for months in which Zayn is 2-0 against Corbin. As soon as people think Sami Zayn is finally getting a push, you have his rival; “The Lone Wolf” come cash-in, win the championship & although some may cheer, ultimately, it will suck the life out of the Barclays Center knowing that Sami Zayn has once again; came up short.
