Daniel Bryan Deserves Our Respect

There are a lot of reasons to respect Daniel Bryan…  His in ring work is second to none.  His ability to get over organically and energize fans is phenomenal.  However, the thing I think puts the man in the top tier of all talents is the fact that he showed up for work at RAW on Monday night.

For those who may not know, Daniel Bryan’s father passed away unexpectedly over the weekend.  I remember when I lost my father, and I can tell you that I was useless for any practical purpose for quite some time.   I was in college, and I had to take a short break and then try to play catch-up because I could physically sit in class, but I couldn’t tell you what was said or absorb any of the information.

That being said, Bryan insisted on working RAW rather than just skipping town and going home, and I think that says a lot for the man and his dedication to his fans and the business.

I am sure there will be people who comment that Bryan gets paid an uncanny amount of money, so he can just deal with it because the show must go on.   I couldn’t disagree more.   There are a lot of things in life that money can’t buy.  In fact, most things of any real value are not for sale, and a good family is one of them.

I look forward to Bryan returning and the YES! movement going on.  However, at this point, I think we should all just send the Danielson family our thoughts, condolences, and prayers.

RIP and Godspeed Mr. Danielson.

Of course, thoughts and comments are welcome.
