The Road to Wrestlemania begins with my favourite PPV, Royal Rumble.

Let’s look at the possible/realistic matches and winners from this upcoming Pay Per View.

1. Royal Rumble Match:

Most Time spent in the ring: Roman Reigns. In my previous editorial, I’ve mentioned the potential of this awesome wrestler. According to me, he will shine at The Royal Rumble by spending most time in the ring only to be eliminated by Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins setting up a Wrestlemania Triple Threat Match.

Surprises/Returns: Sheamus and Jake Snake Roberts.

Rumble Winner: C.M. Punk

C.M. Punk has been messing around with mid card talents like Curtis Axis and Ryback for the past one year. But at the Royal Rumble, CM Punk wins the match to face Randy Orton at Wrestlemania.

2. Tag Team match

Goldust and Cody Rhodes Vs Erick Rowan and Luke Harper

Winner: Erick Rowan and Luke Harper

Goldust turns on Cody and costs the tag team belt during the match setting up a brother vs brother match at Wrestlemania.

3. Champion vs Champion match.

John Cena (WWE Champion) Vs Randy Orton (World Heavyweight Champion)

With numerous reports stating that the champions will switch titles at TLC with Cena grabbing his favourite belt and Orton holding on to Cena’s World Heavyweight belt, we can, sadly, see another Cena and Orton face off at Royal Rumble to finally Unify the title.

Orton wins due to Corporate distractions after a long slow match.

Aftermath: Cena gets up losing the title with mixed emotions when suddenly, lights goes off.

Michael Cole: Oh My…Oh myy… It’s the Dead Man, The Undertaker.

Yeah, The Undertaker returns and teases a Wrestlemania challenge to Cena.

I’ve mentioned new rivalries are starting at the Royal Rumble which is 2-3 months from WrestleMania. WWE needs to start fresh rivalries for WrestleMania season. An ordinary mid card rivalry can pull of a great crowd and genuine emotions if given 2-3 months of good build up.

Couple of throw away matches may also be announced but these are the main matches that are likely shaping up at this P.P.V.
