Since there will be a million articles about Rollins and Survivor Series I figured I throw my hat in and get lost in the shuffle.
Because of this unfortunate incident the WWE is forced to build stars and make compelling TV. No longer can they just go on cruise control. So here are the best possible ways the WWE can go with this tournament…. Its is fantasy booking in some ways but I wont be using stars that are injured or off the roster. So as much as I wish WWE would clear Bryan to enter this tournament I know its a slim chance.
Roman Reigns joins the Authority
S They are alot of speculation that Ambrose is turning heel. Well I think it would make more sense to have Roman turn heel….. What if the finals of the Tournament was Reigns vs Ambrose, It is a hard fought match and out of no where HHH comes out and helps Reigns win the belt. It would be ideal if HHH would ring the bell, sort of like what was done with the Rock at Survivor Series 1998…. Reignswould then joins the authority and his reasoning would be he was tired of getting cheated out of his shot so he tipped the playing field in his favor.
Ambrose would be a perfect anti hero (like a PG Stone Cold) and this could set up a possible Wrestlemania match. Ambrose getting that push and Reigns being the new top heel works perfectly…. If you look up Roman Reigns NXT promos he plays sort of a corporate jerk, dressed in a suit and tie and he does a pretty good job of it. I would post a link if I could, but I urge to you look it up…… I think that will be a unexpected and create a strong Heel (Which WWE is seriously lacking is a strong heel) and a new fan favorite that the fans could get behind.
John Cena
WWE could go the safe rout and have Cena regain the WWE championship. Cena could still do his project and just be on WWE TV and PPVs untill December when he makes his full time comeback…. Roman could be cheated out of the tournament in the semi finals maybe by a Heel turned Amborse. Have Roman and Ambrose work a program to keep Roman busy, Then at Wrestlemania the WWE could do a face vs face match with Cena vs Roman Reigns and have Cena pass Roman the torch….. That is a lazy booking option in my opinion, but it can still work. It would still leave the WWE without a top heel.
Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar could be put in the tournament and just demolish all his competition and become WWE champion once again on his part time schedule. WWE could have Lesnar drop the title at the Royal Rumble by interference and who ever cost Lesnar the title would be set up for his Wrestlemania match at Wrestlemania 32….. This option is not very appealing to me but it is a viable option.
With Bray Wyatt and the Undertaker busy with their feud already cemented, it is unlikely they would be in the tournament. It would be great to have the Undertaker celebrate 25 years with a WWE title win and maybe lose it at Wrestlemania and retire, but that isnt very likely…. Bray would have a chance if he was in the tournament but that isnt looking like a possibility….. Ambrose is another way of going but momentum hasn’t been on his side, I don’t see Ambrose joining the Authority, It wouldn’t be a good fit. Cesaro, Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio don’t really have a great chance of winning this… In my opinion these are the WWEs best options with the hand they were dealt.
