A criticism I have heard is today lacks big stars it did in the 80’s and 90’s. I agree. But, there is no place for big stars because today is not wrestling, it’s not even sports entertainment, it’s manufactured silliness. The manufactured silliness does everything it does to destroy wrestling’s credibility. For example, Natalya farting made her look foolish, Adam Rose’s party express made him look like a fool.
The New Day cutting non sense promos talking about Unicorns and beauty make them more laughing stock than the great athletes they really are. Let’s start with how talent is booked. There should be a hierarchy in wrestling just like the ufc. The UFC has weight classes. I don’t want WWE to have a weight class, but what UFC also has is a hierarchy in those weight classes.
The more matches a wrestler wins, the higher up wrestlers they should wrestle. With each loss, they should drop down one rung. I suggest you get a jobber. Preferably jobbers should be young and brought up from NXT. Think of the NBA Dleague. They are there for a reason.
There may be one or two from their that could break out and be somewhat competitive at the first time they play in an official NBA game at the next level, but chances are, they should be few and far between, For example, don’t let them debut, win the belt, lose it and after that not be able to buy a win like Paige. Also, Becky Lynch lost to Sasha Banks, why is she getting the title shot at Charlotte?
