Outside of the “box” view of WWE & CM Punk

Okay, now firstly I would like to introduce myself.  I am a first time blog writer, but daily sit

on the side-lines analysing the WWE and wrestling products in general.  I always take a look at the blog comments,
and hell sometimes I even write some replies on the posts.  But my time of sitting and watching without
writing something informative has come to an end.  I thought it is about time I address the “mask”
that has been placed on the whole of the WWE “universe” as it has come to be
known.

Now I know I will have critics of this article, and of
course I know there will be people who think my opinions are invalid or irrelevant,
but neither the less I will air them as that is a right I hold value to.

I absolutely love CM Punk as a wrestler.  He is talented beyond measure and has worked
right from the Indy scene to get to the WWE.
He has really thrown his hat out there to reach out and bring out a new
side of the product and be relevant.
What I admire the most is exactly that… being relevant.

Ever since his pipe bomb on RAW, leaving with the WWE
championship, returning and having some big matches with Undertaker and others
people have been slowly knocking him down like the WWE have under-rated
him.  When he left after a row with Vince
he was originally supported by the Universe, but slowly the fans turned and now
six-months plus all I seem to read are negative articles about CM Punk, which I
personally feel are written by people who cannot see the bigger picture on all
of this.

When I say the bigger picture, I mean as a storyline.  In wrestling there are storylines that span a
show or two, a storyline that might span up to a PPV.  There are storylines that last even a few PPV’s,
but not many storylines last longer than this.
I firmly believe the CM Punk storyline was set a few years ago, with the
original “pipe bomb” kicking things off.

The problem with many wrestling fans is that they are too
short sighted.  You want a storyline to
come to a head now, not next week.   In
general this rush has been followed by social media, where things happen right
then and there.  This is why the WWE
Universe have flipped so quick on CM Punk.
Because he was not back within a week or two, suddenly he is arrogant
and selfish.

Think of this on a bigger scale.  When CM Punk left, Vince followed this up in
the “real world” by addressing this at a conference.  In “real world” era people are too nosy, so
things HAVE to be followed up by snipping the right channels.

The WWE Universe always read the net and according to so
many sources (which are likely plants the companies know of) CM Punk will “never”
return.  He apparently is “done” with
wrestling and therefore has no desire to step inside the squared circle again.

The truth of this matter, of which I am sure of, is that
this is ALL a work, every single piece of it.

Now at this point, I am sure I will get replies saying I
must be another “besotted” CM Punk fan wishing his return, but if you read on
you will see the pure genius that Vince is and the reasons behind how
everything has been done.

I feel the plan is actually simple but clever.  Let CM Punk rest up and let the WWE Universe
explode Facebook, Twitter, Blogs etc by continually talking about Punk.  Vince knows the Universe will get bored and
turn on him.  In the meantime, Punk just
needs to keep quiet and go “dark”.  By
doing this it stops him slipping up on what is happening.  By doing little gimmicks on short videos on the
net it allows him the ability to remind the universe CM Punk is alive.  When the return time is right, Vince and Punk
know the merchandise will go through the roof for Punk, along with ratings too.

This is just another bit of food for thought.  Hell, I know AJ Lee is talented, but she is
at the end of the day CM Punk’s wife.
They both live, breath and worship wrestling.  AJ Lee has kept herself on the top of the
women’s scene in one way or another since Punk’s departure.  Along with this, the WWE Universe keeps
chanting “CM Punk” at every show.   What
this does is remind you that he is gone, whilst making sure you don’t forget
about him, just like many other Alumni the WWE has in the closet.

So what is the point of this all?  Well at the end of the day it comes down to
keeping WWE relevant.  Ever since the
inception of social media, people have questioned whether things like wrestling
can keep up.  The truth is that Vince is
a master of this all.  He can second
guess a crowds response and even the social media response all in his
head.  This whole creation has been a
work from the start.

When will CM Punk return?
Well in all honestly I believe there are only two people who know
this.  CM Punk and Vince.  I think there is a binding deal between them
with a gentlemans handshake somewhere which has sealed the return.

My gut feeling tells me that this postponed storyline for
the “power struggle” is going to come to a head at Wrestlemania 31 or 32.  Either way it will come down to some kind of
1 on 1 or 5 on 5 match similar to the Alliance vs WWF match years ago.  I feel the “surprise” entrant for this match
will be CM Punk, which paves the way for WWE to give rebirth to a whole new
era.

Either way, when Punk returns it will be one massive pop and
of course, the coins will be falling for Punk and Vince at this time.

I hope you like my blog post and feel free to comment and I
may reply J.
