Richard Staple’s WWE TLC Predictions

This Sunday, we will see Tables, Ladders and Chairs, in one match. I will post a separate article on my griefs with that. Anyways, there is still a card and a lot can come out of it. Without further delay, let’s jump right into it shall we?

Pre-Show: Dolph Ziggler vs Fandango

Dolph Ziggler is the official king of the pre-show, wrestler or “analyst”. The theme of this year’s inaugural Battleground PPV was “The Mighty Fall”. That song kind of fits Ziggler right now. Once the WHC has now become a talent that isn’t good enough to be on the card. And if he is in the card, the match is very unimportant. Despite that, I would hate to think that Ziggler would stoop down so low as to lose to Fandango on the pre-show. This is WWE, and anything can happen, but I don’t think Fandango will come out of this bout victorious.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

Big E Langston (c) vs Damien Sandow: Intercontinental Championship

This match is kind of dicey to predict. Big E had the advantage on RAW and by WWE logic, Sandow would win at the PPV. At the same time, Big E has only defended the IC title once against Curtis Axel. I think would be a tad early to take the title off of him now that Langston is enjoying the best stretch of his brief career. I say that Big E will continue to reign as IC title, but Sandow may have the final laugh at a later date in the future.

Winner: Big E Langston

Cody Rhodes (c) and Goldust (c) vs Curtis Axel and Ryback vs Big Show and Rey Mysterio vs Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro

Oh, I get it now. Why give a young, exciting tag team like the Usos a Tag Team Title shot when you can give it to a 41 year old fat slob named the Big Show and a 39 year old man who should retire in Rey Mysterio? And why give the Prime Time Players a tag team title shot when you can give it to the uncharismatic team of Rybaxel (seriously?). Anyways, I hope that a stipulation is added to this match. Like a ladder match or something. It makes no sense to have Tables, Ladders and Chairs with four tag teams without even utilizing what is there. Now, I can only see the Real Americans winning this match if WWE decides to strip Rhodes and Goldust of the titles. They have held it since the RAW after battleground and The Real Americans hold a couple of victories over the Tag Team Champions. I don’t know when Goldust will turn on Rhodes, like WWE plans to do in the future, but I would suspect that it wouldn’t be here. I’m going to take a chance here and say that The Real Americans will have the upset win. But, if the tag champs retain, I won’t be shocked.

Winners: Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro

CM Punk vs The Shield

Well, it is safe to say that The Shield will be breaking up soon if you saw RAW. Now The Shield have decimated Punk on numerous occasions so it would be safe to say that Punk will come out of this bout victorious. Perhaps, The Shield will have more tension within the match against Punk. I never like the idea of a 3 on 1 handicap match on a PPV, because if that one man defies the odds, it would make 3 others look weak. I’m going to take Punk on this one, only to further build up the internal demise of The Shield.

Winner: CM Punk

Daniel Bryan vs The Wyatt Family

If only I can say the same for Daniel Bryan. Now, if we look at this in a non WWE storyline sense, the Wyatt Family is just too big and strong for Daniel. I mean sure, he holds victories over both Rowan and Harper, but those are in one on one situations. This is a 3 on 1. If Daniel can isolate it to one on one, it will work out for him, but I don’t think it will happen. Now it terms of storylines, it only makes sense that The Wyatts come away with the win. I mean, why bury The Wyatt Family? Bryan has always had the advantage when it comes to the Wyatts, and for all three to lose to the Wyatts would be humiliating to say the least. And, could we possibly see a huge swerve and see Bryan join the Wyatts? We’ll find out soon enough.

Winner: The Wyatt Family

AJ Lee (c) vs Natalya: Divas Championship

In spite of what rigged elections the WWE can cast upon us, AJ lee is the clear Diva of The Year. Let’s not even get into that. Anyways, AJ Lee has tapped and taken pinfalls to Natalya in the past couple of weeks. Natayla shouldn’t beat AJ at the PPV. Natalya is the only other watchable Diva for me besides AJ. This should actually be a decent 3 to 6 minute bout, barring no interference. Now AJ has held the Divas championship for quite some time, so some may say that it is time to take the belt off of her. I just don’t think this would be the proper time or place for it.

Winner: AJ Lee

Randy Orton (c) vs John Cena (c) : WWE and World Heavyweight Titles

This is why i loved the ending on RAW so much. A plethora of possibilities came out of it. Triple H pedigrees Orton. CM Punk attacks both Orton and Triple H. Triple H then says he knows who he trusts to hold both titles on Smackdown. One more thing from RAW. We were left with one lasting image. Cena with The Authority. Now, Cena has said that he would never turn heel under any circumstances and I believe him. I don’t think Cena will ever turn heel. However, it would be interesting if we see a HUGE swerve. Being completely honest, I never have been more excited to see what the ending of a match will look until now. I mean, Triple H’s suspect behavior tells me that John Cena might pull off the win. At the same time, i know for a fact that Triple H will be involved somehow or someway and Orton can win. Or we can see Orton and Cena hold opposite titles. Or perhaps another wrestler will prevent Cena or Orton from winning, making another feud. This match may be the toughest I ever predicted because the possibilities are endless. WWE’s decision has already reportedly been set in stone for a week now so we will have to wait and see. Honestly for me, this one is a coin toss. I can’t bear the sight of seeing Cena hold both titles, let alone one, and WWE has been rumoring a CM Punk vs Randy Orton match or a CM Punk vs Triple H feud so it will be interesting to say the least. Okay how about this. Heads: Orton. Tails: Cena. One moment. *flips coin*. Heads win.

Winner: Randy Orton
