Back when I was a kid, to me Ric Flair was Ric Flair. Dusty Rhodes was Dusty Rhodes. Hell, Hulk Hogan was Hulk Hogan. Shawn Michaels was Shawn Michaels, and The Rock was The Rock. But look at the internet ‘smarks’ this days. They have to know the real names of every wrestler on the planet, they had to see how their wives looks like. They have to get embarrassing pictures of those wrestlers personal life (like The Undertaker’s grey hair picture that was running all over Twitter, prior to his return against …Brock Lesnar).
It sickens me to see the misuse of the internet, and how it literally is killing the business.
Back in my day I never dared to go into the wrestlers real life, because I DIDN’T CARE about that! I cared about the characters I see in the ring, and that’s all that mattered to me. But now, it’s like: ‘if you don’t know how hot is … wife, you are a dumbass…”
I feel sorry for the future of the business. The internet is the worst thing to happen to sports entertainment and wrestling in particular
