We Want WRESTLING, Not ENTERTAINMENT!

Last night, September 12, 2014, I watched WWE’s NXT Takeover 2 on WWE Network to not only write a small column on what I saw in that ring compared to the main roster ring and I must say, I was very impressed….but very displeased with how Tyson Kidd is being used.

What I mean by that is, just a few years ago, Tyson was apart of the family trio called The Hart Dynasty, which consisted of Natalya Neidhart, David Hart Smith, and Tyson Kidd. Before I chose to write this, I did my research to find out exactly why Harry was fired, and no luck. Kidd on the other hand was demoted to NXT from what I believe was to restrengthen him following the injury that kept him on the sidelines for over a year. But to me, it only seems as if they’re just hinting at him that they have nothing more for him.

Here’s a contradiction in WWE, they always say they are building up new fresh and young talents down in the developmental system when yet, they already have guys like Zack Ryder already on the main roster that could really do a whole lot of work and wrestling that fans do want to see. When I watched Takeover on WWE Network last night, fans kept chanting “THIS IS WRESTLING!”, did officials just bypass that with a smile knowing just how much they’re diggin’ the new faces and talent being shown in the ring? Seems that way.

Once WWE broke up the Hart Dynasty as part of a supposed jealousy angle between Tyson and Harry, WWE Creative took them nowhere individually which was absolute bullshit because of how much actual talent both guys have. So they came to terms to fire David and demote Tyson after his injury with the gimmick of “FACT!”, are you fucking serious?!

Here’s something I’m still trying to figure out, why did Vince allow creative to break up Cryme Tyme!? Why did they choose to never think of something great for Evan Bourne who was ready to return?! Why the hell they still choose to keep Ryder down knowing how gifted he is in the ring?!! Or an even bigger question, why give John Cena all of the spotlight and force-feed him to fans that some don’t even like knowing just how stale they’ve come of his character. These are questions Vince McMahon has continued to bury without honest answer.

This problem doesn’t just revolve around the male wrestlers, it involves the women wrestlers as well. If you look at TNA’s Knockouts, of which are really lacking in how many are left, you see them busting their asses twice fold than what WWE is booking their women wrestlers. Instead of actual wrestling, we see Nikki & Brie Bella ‘feuding’ only because E! Network wants this kind of drama to take place on Total Divas, a show that has given the Divas more TV time but often unwanted talentless matches.

Why can’t we see matches like a Divas Falls Count Anywhere like TNA allowed Taryn Terrell and Gail Kim to take part in a few months ago, what, are they afraid children will see a bad example of what’s supposed to be wrestling and not teletubbies dancing around in the ring….oops, sorry Planet Funk.

Eva Marie, I’m sorry girl, but yo-ass needs to be in NXT working to become an actual wrestler instead of taunting your body around. For fuck sake, you deliver the worst clothesline I have ever seen. At least Summer Rae knows what she’s doing.

Quite honestly, if WWE uses KENTA wrongly and he ends up like Evan Bourne, a lot of respect will be lost not only from fans, but those who come from Japan knowing just how much talent the man has.
