Why SummerSlam Expanding To Four Hours Is A Good Thing

As Ryan Clark noted earlier, this year’s edition of SummerSlam will be a four-hour pay-per-view which was previously been reserved for WrestleMania.

This will no doubt mean that not only will matches such as the highly touted Undertaker versus Brock Lesnar rematch from WrestleMania XXX as well as rumored matches like John Cena versus Seth Rollins and Sting, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns versus The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and possibly Adam Rose) plenty of time but also an opportunity for other Superstars to be added to the card. This will also mean more musical performances, something that both Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn are very high on.

With SummerSlam being on the same level as WrestleMania in terms of being the biggest WWE pay-per-view on the calendar, this will mean that there are now two pay-per-views that are seen as the big money pay-per-views.

As soon as the Superstars and Divas of the WWE converge at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, expect plenty of excitement in the world of sports entertainment.
