Last month Nikki Bella surpassed AJ Lees record of being the longest reigning WWE “Divas” Champion in WWE history. The question i ask is “Will Seth Rollins end CM Punks reign as the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era.”?
Let’s look at it like this. The WWE still have issues with CM Punk with the way they both parted ways, they say he quit, he says he was fired, they both STILL continually take parting shots at each other, so it’s not unthinkable that they’ll end Punks reign just out of spite. They can be very petty when it comes to decisions like this.
As of now, Seth Rollins “The Architect” has held the title for nearly 200 days. CM Punks reign lasted 434 days. So there’s still a way to go. I’m just wondering if they’ll pull the trigger and let him surpass it. Afterall, it does seem like Seth Rollins is “The Guy” for them considering his accomplishments thus far.
If there is one fault with his reign it’s that he’s been made way too much look like a coward. I get it, he’s a “heel”, he plays that part well, but he’s too talented to be made to look like a snake who needs help from interferences, who lies and cheats his way to victory. Although if i remember correctly Seth beat Sting clean, possibly the only match he has won clean thus far during his reign, whether or not the match was supposed to end like that after Sting was injured, only the WWE will know.
He is incredibly talented, and i’m one the actually wouldn’t mind Seth being the one to succeed it. I honestly don’t get why he receives so much hate from some of the IWC how can you argue with a straight face the guy isn’t amazingly talented? Maybe he’s just so good at his role that you miss the genius behind it. Don’t forget Sting said Seth Rollins maybe the best wrestler he’s ever worked with.
In my opinion a Seth face turn is what’s needed the most if he’s going to smash CM Punks record of and come out the other end looking glorious. Being a heel just won’t cut it, not like this, he’s better than that, and it will probably be looked back on with a frown. So what do you guy’s think? Will or should Seth Rollins surpass CM Punks 434 day record?
