WWE SmackDown (4/16) Results: Bryan & Cena vs. Kidd & Cesaro

Welcome to Thursday night SmackDown, John Cena makes his way down to the ring to open the show. “John Cena sucks..” is chanted by the crowd. Cena sucked up to the fans by saying that on Monday, the UK fans were so good. He said that if Rusev wants a chain match at Extreme Rules then he will get it. He breaks down the match by saying that the two men are tied together and one superstar has to touch all four corners of the match. He said that every single night, he issues a challenge and he wants a fight right now. He calls out the challenger, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro answer the call. Kidd said that they are not out here to accept Cena’s challenge. They’re out here to drop some facts. He and Cesaro does drop some facts about how London does not deserve a WrestleMania. Cesaro said that they wish that they can’t see John Cena anymore, but do wish to see the tag team champions more often. Cena said that one of them should step up fight him tonight. Daniel Bryan makes his way out to a huge pop. He asked the fans if they think that Kidd and Cesaro are the greatest champions in WWE today? They said NO, he asked the same question about Cena and they said NO. He asked the same question about himself and they chanted YES. Bryan challenged them to a match and they accepted. Our main event is set. 

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Bray Wyatt vs. R-Truth.

R-Truth with an early knockdown, but Wyatt popped right up. Wyatt with an uppercut, R-Truth with an up kick, he shot off the ropes and Wyatt nailed him with a crossbody. Wyatt with Sister Abigail for the win.
Winner: Wyatt.
Highlights from the Divas battle royal from RAW is shown. Michael Cole gave the an injury update on Paige. Cole said that Paige has advised to not compete until further notice.

Singles Match: Bad News Barrett vs. The Miz.

The Miz taunted the crowd and turned around into a BULL HAMMER! 

Winner: Barrett

The RAW rebound is shown.
The Miz challenged Mizdow to a match on RAW with the winner gaining exclusive rights to the Miz character. 

Singles Match: Neville vs. Sheamus.

Neville with a series of kicks to the hamstring of Sheamus. Neville with a head takeover and then a dive over the top rope taking out Sheamus. 

-Commercial Break- 

We’re back from break with Sheamus in control of Neville. Sheamus hit a power suplex. Neville lands a few back kicks, but Sheamus throws him to the apron and goes for the clubbing right hands. Neville fought back, he landed some forearm shots. Neville ducked a kick and hit a springboard drop kick for 2. Neville with a kick to the face of Sheamus, he went to the middle rope and hit a dive for a near fall. Neville went to the top rope and Sheamus knocked him down. Sheamus grabbed him and went for White Noise, but Neville rolled through and only got a count of 2. Neville with a kick to the face and then another. Neville clotheslines him to the floor. Sheamus picked him up and threw him onto the announce table causing the DQ. 

Winner: Neville by DQ. 

After the match, Sheamus continued beating on Neville. Dolph Ziggler ran down to make the save. Sheamus headed to the back. Ziggler grabbed the mic, he said that the Americans, Irish and any other country. He said that Sheamus is a bully, so they should fight right now. Sheamus said that they are going to have a kiss me arse match.

Tag Team Match: New Day vs. Los Matadores
Big E and Diego start things off, they hit a double crossbody. Kofi and Fernando get the hot tag. Kofi with a back to Fernando, but the Bull distracts Kofi. Woods grabbed him, but the bull nailed an arm drag. Big E tagged in, they hit their finisher for the win. 

Winner: New Day. 

-Commercial Break-

Big Show stands at the top of the stage and cut a heel promo about how no one in the world can stop him. He said Roman was disrespectful. Big Show says he doesn’t see Roman Reigns as a threat. He said that he asked the Authority against Reigns at Extreme Rules and it was granted. He said that their match would be a last man standing match.

Triple Threat Match: Cameron vs. Alicia Fox and Natalya. 

Natalya knocked Fox to the floor and rolled up Cameron for 2. Fox broke it up and landed an elbow to Natalya. She missed a leg drop and Natalya hit a big boot for 2. Cameron threw Natalya into the barricade, back in the ring, Natalya with some forearm shots, but Fox landed a clothesline for 2. Fox missed a big boot and Natalya threw her down by her hair. Cameron to the top rope, Fox with a forearm shot to cut her down. Fox went for a suplex and Natalya powerbombed Fox at the same time. Natalya covered Cameron for 2. Natalya pinned Fox for 2. Natalya with a clothesline to Fox and sent her to the floor. Cameron rolled up Natalya for 2. They exchange roll ups, but only get two. Natalya went and locked in the sharpshooter. Fox missed the big boot, so Natalya locked in the sharpshooter. Cameron attacked Natalya from behind, but Natalya threw her to the floor. Fox with a big boot. Cameron threw Fox to the floor, covered Natalya for the win. 

Winner: Cameron. 

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Fandango vs. Adam Rose
Fandango clotheslines Rose to the floor and all of sudden, Rosa Mendes ran down to the ring. She distracted him as Rose landed a baseball slide. She got on the apron, she accidentally distracted Rose and Fandango rolled him up for the win. 

Winner: Fandango 

Bray Wyatt cuts a backstage promo about having dedication to yourself. 

-Commercial Break- 

Main Event: John Cena and Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd.

Cesaro and Cena start things off, Cesaro beatdown Cena early on in the match. The fans are behind Cena, but he can’t find a way to mount any kind of offense. After Kidd and Cesaro double teamed Cena for a few minutes, Cena fought back and got the hot tag to Bryan. Bryan with a series of right hands to Kidd. Bryan with a baseball slide to Cesaro and a trip to Kidd in the corner. Bryan with a series of kicks to Kidd. Bryan with a hurricanrana out of the corner for 2. Bryan hulks up, he landed a series of kicks to the chest of Kidd, then to Cesaro. He hit the head kick to Cesaro and nailed Kidd with one of his own. Bryan was distracted by Natalya. Kidd knocked her off the apron and Bryan locked in the YES lock on Kidd for the win. Cena hit an AA to Cesaro for the win. 

Winner: Bryan and Cena 

Daniel Bryan took it very easy in that match, he and Cena celebrated in the ring to close the show.
