Hey guys, Im new to this but been on the website for around 6 years so here it goes
i was watching some old videos from around when vince announced the buying of WCW, and like almost everyone , my thinking was.. the teams , the teams screwed the invasion PPV final match.
Why? you ask,
Start with Team WWF
We have The Rock, Good pick most obvious pick , started with the WWF and was one of the faces of the company no wrong here
Then we have Taker and Kane, Il say they fit also, since both were self made in the WWF , wcw didnt really contribute anything to these 2.
Jericho, now here it starts , jericho is a WCW original , the day he debuted 60% of the WWF Fans probably already knew him, and even tho he stated his dislike for some of the WCW guys i say someone else should of taken his place.
Who ? Triple H
Of Course HHH was injured during this period , but he is WWF and fitted perfectly in this team.
Big Show, Another WCW original, even tho WWF saw him as a WWF guys already at that time, he still started in WCW and was a big part of it.
Switch him with Kurt Angle and you got a WWF Team.
Other choice would be Michaels but you know his situation at the time.
The Alliance
Now this is what screwed the whole angle up,
First of all Austin should of been feuding with some one else for the WWF Title , since i believe he was probably thrown there, so the Alliance could have the Champ leading them
Now this was a Team based of ECW and WCW guys, Yet we got Kurt angle, Stone Cold and shane mcmahon.
Alright SCSA Was part of both ECW And WCW, but the man stone cold was made in the WWF so you got HHH Injured, And Show and Jericho on the other team, Good thinking.
Booker and RVD were ok , But To me they didnt represent the Threat WCW put against WWF on the monday night wars.
Now the perfect scenario, would of been WWF aqquired all top wcw guys, combine the top babyfaces and heels, and have no ECW guys and you got your Ultimate ending to this endless War between WCW and the WWF.
To me this is how it should of been in my own opinion.
Rock, Kane, Taker, Stone Cold, Kurt Angle (Since HHH was injured , and Shawn Michaels was retired)

Hogan, Nash, Goldberg, Flair, Sting
Most of these had WWF careers, but they are what WCW is today known for, and at the time the top guys, what we wanted to see was the top guys from each company battle each other, in the ultimate wrestling match in history.
