Am i the only one who noticed this is NOT for inter title? i mean its kinda spoiler isint it? i am pretty sure randy is going to win now... but seriusly when last time there was 1vs1 match on ppv with one guy being champion and its not for a title?

The fued between Randy and Cody is really starting to heat up and it should be for the IC title especially on a PPV??? If thats the case with the title NOT being on the line why even bother? Might as well just book that match for Raw or Smackdown.....

I am agreeing with this
this isn't about a title, it's about Randy and Cody out and out hating each other, there is a good enough story there not to need the title, and I do not think that it not being included gives away any part of the match really.

You see,if cody would win it doesnt matter is it for title or no,so it could add more emphasis on match like "I am not only gonna beat you,i gonna take that title from you" big show vs mark henry feud got the same wish of vengence and title is just a side reward.However on the other hand if randy wins,puting inter title on him would be pointless,he is the main eventer.Dont understand me wrong,i got nothing against randy vs rhodes feud i belive it looks really amazing,especially counting the fact that randy isint in mainevent picture,this will do alots for cody. However i belive they should just book it the usual way they dont want guy to lose title,DQ,count out, and then randy geting the last word with RKO after match.i want repeat myself from topic sentence.

The IC title hasn't even been mentioned during the feud, it's just been Cody and Randy beating each other up...
Randy's gonna win, that much is certain! Chances are, Cody will beat Randy down and then the RKO will come out of nowhere -.-

Thats why i hate randy as face... I just love RKO and when ortons heel that out of nowhere worked wonders,but when randys face.. it seems like you can use everything you got against randy but its enough to make one little mistake and its over.I still remember that awkward match ending vs CM punk at WM, everytime punk was geting close he was almost geting RKOed..
One more thing IC title is geting back its presitge, i belive main eventer challenging for it would only help it,and rhodes somewhat stayng with title after match with randy would make it more credible.

Cody vs Randy will be a good match no doubt, but if the title was on the line, it would have brought some prestige back to the IC title, since WWE would have one of their top guys competing for it (something we haven't seen since the days Jericho, Mysterio and JBL were competing for it).

How for the gods sake thats is a bad thing? randy is currently the most "OP" in the smackdown roster he even started almost geting victories vs Henry,i think he should be made a bit weaker.
And one more thing,like it was sayed it would help alot for titles prestige if someone like main eventer competes for it,title was looking really good recently with all those challenges for it,but now it looks like its there just to make cody look a bit better.
Would really hope randy-cody feud ends soon and cody should be put in some intensive feud against mid carder,DB is the best who comes to mind,becouse i think he is one of the best Mid carders AND he really needs a push if hes going for that title match on WM

In all fairness, the guy above me has a point. Orton competing for the IC title would not only put Cody Over (if Cody wins), but it also brings some much needed meaning back to the title.
And it's not about making Orton look weaker, it's about making Cody look stronger, and making the IC title actually mean something again.

as much as I agree with that, the likeliness of that happening is very low.
Going back when Randy won that battle royal for the title match of his choice I was hoping Orton would choice to go for the intercontinental championship, that would of really raised the prestige of that title.

I wouldn't call the chances as being 'very low'. Orton and Rhodes have recently started feuding. They have a match at Vengeance. The possibility of the feud continuing to SS is very high, and it's more than possible that match will be for the title IMO.

I just don't see Orton holding the I.C. Championship, much less competing for it. However I hope it does. It would be great.
