Hey guys!
First off, new here and looking forward to some discussions.
I was wondering, if the WWE were to host it in the UK, how they would go about broadcasting it to the world? As with the UK (and other places around the world) we have to watch it at rather late (or early) hours of the day and wondered if they would do the same in the USA.
Possibly host it late afternoon/early evening here and show it live worldwide?
How would the USA react to the UK hosting Wrestlemania for a change?
would love to hear your thoughts
P.S. apologies if this is in the wrong area/ already covered. In which case ..... Admin know what to do lol

Late evening. That would mean early afternoon for the US and late night/early morning for the rest of the world.
But I doubt Wrestlemania would even come here.
But we can hope...

Two quotes come to mind:
1 - No chance in Hell
2 - Never say never :)

It would go a long way for the WWE International relationships if they would host PPVs outside of the USA.

Let's hope CM_SUXX_NOT but i wonder if it would get around noise control at that time, what with pyro and music ....
would be cool to see it hosted outside of the US

Yeah 92 I think.
I also think its 1 of WWEs highest ever attendances for a PPV too.

I doubt it'll ever happen.. WWE's biggest show of the year, and they might lose buys because of the time difference etc.
I'd definitely go if they had it in the UK though

I think they can make it work. It 8 pm UK time is probably late noon in the US. And everyone is at home on a sunday afternoon.
Or they can start the show a little late, say around 10:30 UK time, that would probably be around 5-6 US time, I think.

Why is everyone over complicating this, if it happened it would be the same as when raw is taped here, it will be on at a normal time in England and then play in America and the same time, will just be a couple hours time delay.

What a dumb idea
ITS so irritating when WWE Neglects the UK audience which is why soo many are turning to TNA Yes America is their Primary Audience but as a UK viewer i kinda feel like WWE couldn't give a shit if i watched or Not

Wrestlemania would never tape delay, ever. If they can host an NFL game here every season, then im sure Wrestlemania could be hosted too. Tampa v Bears is on at 5:30pm tomorrow UK time if that helps.

I know someone else who supports City. He has MCFC in his username but the name is escaping me currently. Glad to see another Citizen :)
and Nice bet. Hope you're right. I'd definately go!

While I think it's unlikely I would still love to see the occasional event held outside the states. This is where the UFC is shitting all over WWE. ;) They go where the fans are and gain even more exposure from doing so.
Hey, with Summerslam 92, wasn't that focussed on the Bulldog? They main evented the IC title match over the WWF title match even. I could imagine if one of their UK wrestlers had the belt, it would be a great draw

You would think that, but WWE does actually very well outside the United States, better than the UFC. The UFC is a company that relies on PPV's, so they have to produce PPV's in other countries to bring in new audience, but WWE has RAW in 145 countries, stupid RAW fact got actually stuck in my head, and Smackdown that brings them exposure.
But I would love to see a WM in the UK, that would mean I could finally watch a WWE PPV at a normal time instead of 2 AM.

I would love for this to happen but the chances are slim to none!! IF they did bring one of the Big Four PPV's here, I don't think it would ever be Wrestlemania!! Who remembers the PPV's they had over here, Rebellion and Insurrextion? In 8 PPV's they had 3 title changes; x2 Hardcore, x1 European!! They never had major titles changes!!

No I meant as far as promoting events in different countries. I mean, we get WWE here on cable but they only tour maybe once a year. I'd be happy to see them do a Raw or Smackdown episode taped here, it wouldn't even have to be a PPV. But that would mean taking the production team on tour and that would prove costly.
UFC's primary concern is PPV's and hold what I guess is their version of house shows infrequently. So they are going about it the total opposite to WWE. I'm sure that Vince is seeing this and that's why we are seemingly getting PPV's every other week lately. ;)

I also learnt that there is some dispute over the actual audience numbers at WM III, but they wouldn't be the first to pad out those figures, lol. If that's true, the SummerSlam '92 figures actually make it their largest attended event ever. So I read anyway.
But you lose a lot of revenue in the cost of putting on shows that large overseas, there'd be taxes and unions and who knows what else to consider:confused:

Well Scott, I wouldn't say the WWE would put the juggernaut Wrestlemania otro lado del charco. But how about a Royal Rumble? It does have Royal in it's name.

PPVs are always Sundays and Wrestlemania is in March or April... I say go for it. Show it early afternoon in the US. Not much else going on at those times anyway.
