Remember times when a wrestler, backstage writer or any other WWE personnel screwed up big time but in the end, things turned out great? In those instances, things may have turned out better than the original plans. I'll post one to give you an example.

DANIEL BRYAN CHOKES JUSTIN ROBERTS WITH HIS TIE

After Nexus split, only one person made a real career for himself; Wade Barrett. I know for a fact that the majority of the IWC is in love with Daniel Bryan. C'mon, admit it. Who else here marked out when he won MITB? Anyways, I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have happened if Bryan was still in Nexus. He would have gotten buried like the rest of them or wind up in FCW or back to the indies. That segment with Bryan got him out of that situation and he was able to return and start a career of his own. Even though Bryan screwed up with Roberts, he was able to stand out from the crowd.

The Curtain Call

Without it, Triple H would have won KOTR instead of a spry young man by the name of Steve Austin. SCSA's legacy was born that night.

I can think of plenty of times when someone has screwed up and the shit's hit the fan... but I'm struggling to find any cases in which it turned out good

Cena.....

Do I need to say more?

As for one that went well, it looks like R-truth is going to get a face push when he gets back from his suspension.

Cm punks super heel turn, starting with his shoot promo until he returned with wwe title..
The wwe tried to make him into a legitimte heel, but managed to make him the face of the company.

Oh, where to start?! :) Well, the Spirit Squad was annoying, stupid and just plain embarassing, keeping Melina for so long, the "Stand Up for WWE" campaign, having Del Rio win the WWE title, only to lose it a month later, Cena's 10th WWE title reign, giving the WWE title to Rey Mysterio, only for him to lose it to Cena later that night, WWE Mercy 2007, releasing Jericho, Batista, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Chuck Palumbo, and losing Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. Not pushing Lance Storm and Perry Saturn, the whole PMS storyline, Mark Henry and Mae Young as a couple and having Young give birth to a hand, having Sin Cara come up to the roster to soon, oh yes, and BIG DICK JOHNSON. Need I continue?

You might want to read the OP before you start blindly posting off topic. I asked for you to name incidences where a WWE performer, backstage personnel, etc. have screwed up but the outcome didn't turn out bad or wound up being better than the original plans in the long run.

R-Truth getting caught talking to a referee and getting a conspiracy gimmick out of it.

Montreal Screwjob - made wrestling what is was in the attitude era, and gained Shawn Michaels worldwide recoginition. Not too good for Bret Hart though

WWE not signing Styles, and now he is the face of TNA and one of the best wrestlers in the business.

If John Morrison wasn't caught taking drugs and therefore being suspended, CM Punk wouldn't have won the ECW Title.

Releasing Gail Kim the first time, without her, there may not have been a successful KO division

Fake Diesel and Razor Ramon ,it only made people want to see what the real Nash and hall were doing...there for tuning in to see WCW

Mick Foley and The Rock vs Evolution.

It really looks like Mick was suppose to kick out when Orton was pinning him. He kicked out after 3 and had a look of disbelief on his face.

William Regal screwing up his own push is another one.

They've never released Jericho. He chose to let his contract run out both times.

If John Morrison wasn't caught taking drugs and therefore being suspended, CM Punk wouldn't have won the ECW Title.

Similarly, if Jeff Hardy hadn't gotten suspended in the middle of his main event push, then Punk almost certainly wouldn't have won MITB at 'Mania XXIV, leading to an (admittedly awful) World title reign.

It seemed like Jeff Hardy was all set to win the money in the bank at Mania, then he gets suspended..Then CM Punk wins the MITB. I can't comfirm by any means that Jeff Hardy was going to win, but it did seem that way...all for the best

Edit: Someone beat me to it

Sticking Glenn Jacobs with horrible gimmicks (Issac Yankem, Fake Diesel) but not giving up on him and finally packaging him as Kane!!!
