Yes, yes I KNOW...yet another Cena thread. But since we are always on the topic of him. Lets get to the core of things.
Mick Foley was doing a interview for Arda Ocal, and was asked to spread his opinion on a heel turn for Cena. He said:
"Its the most unique dichotomy I've ever seen, in terms of reaction. A lot of credit goes to John, for being man enough. I know that people over the age of twelve are going to get on me with twitter comments. He is a heck of a man, for being able to take that type of abuse. He understands its part of his job, you know; The moment I saw him at the second ECW PPV when he took on Rob Van Dam, and they threw his shirt, and when that shirt came back to him and you saw him smile. You realized this guy gets it, he's gonna have fun with it, he's gonna enjoy it. I'm sure its not fun to be booed so, vociferously in your home town. But clearly when I played the music video on RAW a couple weeks ago, which was the worst choice in music tributes of all time. He clearly knew it was gonna be met with a great dissatisfaction, and his dad of course coming out reprehending the crowd, is not gonna when him any favors. I don't know, there is one part of me that would like to see him turn on, really turn it on. But what I think would happen, is that the moment he did that, I speak from experience in ECW. Is that the people who hated him, would start to hate him less, and he would also lose the very, very, real love that part of the audience has for him."
Thoughts on his opinion?
