First off if you havent completed ME3 and intend too then please dont read any further.


So i wanna know the thoughts of you who have completed it?

Did it live up to all the hype? And did this game have the best storyline of all time for a VG or what??

I played it on the 360 and have been playing the franchise since the first one. So I got the full experience and I thought it was amazing...until the ending. (sigh) Now the journey to the ending was absolutely amazing (Bringing the geth and quarians together nearly made me cry) but there was no excuse for that ending. why couldn't they put the same focus on the ending as they did for the rest of the game? It felt like a rush to get the game finished.

The ending was an utter load of bollocks if I do say so myself, I imagine they completely ran out of ideas but surely they could have come up with something better than this. Perhaps it is a device to make it very clear that ME4 will never be made?

The good points of the campaign however were abundant. The Krogans getting their cure was a heart string puller for me.

Two of the games finest moments, legion self sacrificing to give the geth self awareness and Mordin curing the genophage truly epic moments.

I also liked how human Shepard was and how she really showed the stress she was suffering.

Knew about the fate of Shepard from the start of the game when he saw the catalyst.

But the ending fucks this game up, i can live with the fact that the illusive man wanted the paragon ending and anderson wanted the renegade and i can live with the stupid logic as to why the reapers do what they do. BUT what the hell happens to the rest of the characters did they survive?

Yeah the ending situation was very disappointing but the great moments from all three games didn't ruin it for me. Besides (and I know this really isn't a good thing) hopefully they release some great DLC, including something to give an explanation for the ending.

Casey has been talking about DLC and they did say they will explain the ending fully in some later DLC.

It dosent ruin the game series for me at all either. Shepard dying was predictable but all die-hard ME fans should of worked it out when they announced ME3 was the last in the current storyline.

I had no clue there was DLC out on day one which is kinda disappointing. But to have a Prothean in your team must be cool.

The only DLC i believe that is a must is explaining what happens to the characters who werent involved in the final scene (i.e. Jack, Miranda, Tali, etc....)

I expected that Shepard would not survive the end of ME3, there was no reason for him to.
As far as the ending, it did leave a lot more questions than answers, but I will wait for the DLC barrage before I get too excited about it.
All in all it was a rather well made game, my only real gripe was the feeling that I spent way too much time in the Citadel, and I would have liked to be part of the Turian/Krogan forces in the battle for Palaven, hopefully that will be a DLC

So...Bioware has come out and admitted that they will be altering the ending to Mass Effect 3 in some way.

Now my opinion on the ending of Mass Effect 3 was that, yeah the ending wasn't perfect but to me, the rest of the game was amazing and I got my money worth. Now I will download that ending but not because I held Bioware hostage by saying that I wouldn't buy anymore of there games or review bombing it if they didn't change the ending (if that was confusing, I didn't do any of that) but because it's Bioware. It's Mass Effect. It's made by a company that has provided me with quite possibly my favorite video game series in my whole time of gaming. but if they were to change their minds and not alter the ending, I would be just fine with that as well. I will be more than happy with mid game dlc.

I would like to hear other peoples opinions on this.

I doubt it will be in the next few years. Bioware rarely release more than 1 game a year, Dragon Age 3 is due out next year and their is strong talk of Jade Empire 2 set for 2014.

It wouldn't surprise me if the next time we see the Mass Effect Universe the next generation consoles would of been released for at least a year.

But if you cant wait there is still the decent book series, the good graphic novel series, the two mobile games and the new anime film coming out.

Plus they are now writing the script for the Mass Effect movie.

I have wanted a KOTOR 3 since about 5 minutes after beating KOTOR 2 for the first time, so yeah (Hated the ending on KOTOR 2, BTW)

I own TOR, but my home computer crapped out, and I have to either get a new one or replace the motherboard (Custom job in a 5 year old laptop, not worth the time, money or effort) so I don't know if it is any good or not. I enjoyed WoW, so I figured I would give BioWare the benefit of the doubt (As a side note, anyone know a trick for getting TOR to work on XP? I can install it, but it won't load updates)

Of course, even if they just went back and gave the Baldur's Gate series the Dragon Age treatment, I would buy it, and probably play it entirely too often. As much as I love Mass Effect, I am still more partial to their fantasy offerings.

It reminds me alot of a MMORPG but its for single players. There isnt alot of depth to it but when you compare it to the likes of Two Worlds, Dungeon Seige, The Hunted, etc.... it is a very good western fantasy RPG.

Saying that though The Witcher 2 is out in a months time over here on 360 and that is meant to be awesome. The only downside ive seen in it is you cant customize your characters appearence.

Anyway back to kingdoms of amalur reckoning.......

Its worth around £25 IMO but there seems to be around 50 odd hours game play because of how many different side quests there are. The interaction with characters dosent go beyond what you see in the demo but if you like the creativity that has gone on with the creatures and a more action based RPG then its a great buy.

worst game ending still goes to Super Ghosts and Ghouls in my opinion, once you beat it, you get to do it all over for no damn reason, except harder

It was a fitting way to sacrifice himself for others, But like you guys I just wan't to no what happend to everyone else Haha! On my game.. the normandy crashes and then the door opens but it dosen't show anyone walking out.. in video's i have seen they have shown Joker walk out with EDI and Ashley..

Overall an amazing series, 10/10 :D and no doubt 3 of the best games ive played but reflecting on the end I have to admit im Dissapointed as I assumed we was going to get an ending like Mass 2 where we would lose people on the way.

I think this decides a lot of it. I just finished a play-through yesterday where I got the Master and Commander acheiv (Bring most of the war assets) because I missed it the first time by not playing multiplayer at all (I didn't think it would make a difference) first time the only person to walk out was Liara, (who was romanced, and part of my team at the end.) The second time it was Joker Tali and Garrus (Tali was romanced, but I think she was cheating on me with Garrus) both of whom I had brought with me to the end.

So I think it's part military strength, and part whoever you bring with you or are romanced too. I am doing a third playthrough in a bit, and am going to test it by bringing 2 different characters that are not romanced.

FANTASTIC game. Yeah, I'm annoyed that we didn't get to know what the hell happened to all the characters (most of them die during the game i.e. Tali, Miranda, Legion), but I wanted to know what happened to the ones you didn't take with you at the end. Let;s hope the DLC helps out with that.

I loved it though, and I'm going to start my second playthrough right now!

I thought online was pretty good. This is coming from someone who hardly ever plays online. The only thing that is really known right now is that they are going to release an extended cut of the ending for free. It's not a reimagining or anything it's just going to add to the current adding to answer questions that a lot of people had. They said it was going to be in the summer. Also if you decide to play multiplayer they released a dlc pack for it too. Its called The Resurgence Pack and it's free. It gives you the chance to play as geth, betarians, a justicar, and a krogen battlemaster. It also has new weapons and maps.

basically when you do both Jack and Miranda's loyalty mission they get into an argument. You can either pick a side (losing the other's loyalty) or if your paragon or renegade score is high enough you can use an option that keeps them both loyal

Thing is, it's near impossible to get a high enough paragon/renegade score to stop the Miranda/Jack fight. My paragon bar was pretty much all the way to the top during my latest ME2 playthrough and I still didn't get the option to keep both loyal.

However, I still managed to have everyone survive, since it depends on who you pick for your team in the suicide mission.

Mordin bugged me in ME2, he kept dying during the final battle. Somehow though they managed to get me to care about him in this one, and seeing him die was genuinely tragic, and that little smile he gives when he cures the genophage...damn you Bioware.

I always sent him back with the crew too, it's the only way to guarantee that he survives sometimes lol! He is one crazy little Salarian!

and besides, it just made sense to send the doctor with them, bound to be some side-effects to being almost liquefied, and it would be unfair to expect Dr. Chakwas to take all of that on all by herself, she's getting up there in years after all.

Did you see the deleted scene where harbinger kills your 2 squad members on the run to the citadel? They may include something similar to that.

Regarding future installments, I'm sure I read somewhere that the series is continuing. The story of Sheperd is obviously over (unless they go back to do a prequel or something), but I'm sure they've said something about continuing the story beyond Sheperd's story.

Some new DLC for ME3 though would be more than welcome. I think expecting an announcement on a new game this early is a bit optimistic!

The weapons from the Firefight DLC are pretty cool. A fully automatic Mattock? Fuck yes.

And I want Leviathan and I want it now.

I've always liked the Mattock, it's my weapon of choice in MP. I just always found it a shame that it wasn't fully automatic, hence why I stick with the Vindicator (or the revenant in ME2) in single player. Might make the switch to the Mattock if i take a liking to the FA version though.

I was expecting that to be a mission in the game anyway after that conversation with Aria on the Citadel early on. After seeing that it wasn't in the game I kind of expected them to release it as a DLC.

I had just read that today as well. And this Leviathan creature is supposed to become a war asset when you complete the DLC. So excited.

Seriously, the biggest dissapointment I had with ME 3 was that you didn't get to retake Omega. That DLC would make me very very happy

Yeah it comes with DLC, but I can't connect my PS3 to my internet at home for some reason. I didn't get round to downloading it back when I was at my other house in uni!

you really want that DLC pack for ME 2, the little backstory comic let's you keep the most awesome character in the series around (well, one of them)

After sitting on it, I can say that Leviathan is still pretty awesome. If you're like me and you love the Mass Effect universe and want to learn more of the canon, this is a must buy.

Not going to spoil anything, but I will say that the part on the mining planet was pretty damn scary.
