View Full Version : What happened to the Dibiase Posse?

I was lurking in the thread about the possibility of Ric Flair managing Ziggler & it just dawned on me that I haven't seen Ted Dibiase in quite some time. The reason being because I was just thinking about what a modern day Four Horsemen like faction could look like & he was one of the people who came to mind, but back on topic... Where in the world is Ted Dibiase Jr? Is he injured? Suspended? Was he released? The last thing I remember him doing was being involved in some sort of feud with Hunico & then he just disappeared. Chances are I've probably just missed something, so if you want to do me a solid & fill me in I'd greatly appreciate it. Shit, for all I know he could be competing on Superstars or NXT...
Also, if or when he returns how would you like to see him used? It seemed like to me that he was really starting to find himself in & outside of the ring. I'd love to see him paired up with someone & thrown into the tag-title mix. Maybe someone like Joe Hennig. He can bring his McGillibuddies over to the Dibiase posse. They look like they'd complement each other well in my opinion & Hennig's not really doing anything noteworthy, so why the hell not? I'd book them as baby faces. The WWE already have their heel teams in Rekks & Hawkins, the Colon's, & now the Prime-Time Players(O'neal & Young). As far as face teams go there's only two that I count as legit teams & those are the Uso's, who are awesome! & I guess Kofi & Truth because they're unfortunately carrying the belts.
By my clock there's 10 minutes until 3AM so I'm going to hit the sack, but I'm looking forward to reading what some of you have to say in the morning. Good night, good morning, & good afternoon to some of you!

Ted DiBiase's injured. You might recall that he had a wrist injury during his 'feud' (if you can call it that) with Hunico. He broke his ankle too. There was a report yesterday I think saying that he'll be back in the ring in about a month.
I think putting DiBiase in a tag team is the best solution for him. It's a damn shame that his younger brother had to retire due to a knee injury. They would have made a decent team based on them being 3rd gen wrestlers alone. there was talk at one time of making a faction called 'The Fortunate Sons' with Ted and Brett DiBiase and Joe Henning, but after Brett retired, they seemed to scrap the idea. Ted and Henning tagging together would work though.
DiBiase was getting decent enough pops after he started his DiBiase posse stuff after he turned face, and I think he's decent in the ring. I hope they do something worthwhile with him upon his return.

That's a damn shame & quite a series of setbacks. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who'd like to see him tag up with someone. I think it would definitely benefit the both of them if they were paired up together. I think having a partner there to back you up in the ring would really build up a wrestlers confidence as a performer. You let them tag for a couple of years & then if need be you split them up & stick them in singles competition.

As of his recent time in the ring that seemed to be changing. Before that I felt he was just so bland but when was entering the ring you would feel his excitement and the way the crowd would embrace him a bit as a face. I think he was finally moving up a bit.
a tag team is best for him when he returns. As a singles competitor I feel he will get buried, build him up some more as a face in a team and hopefully he can get really over :)

Well with Ted DiBiase being the leader of said posse and currently been injured i would say that the partywagon is on a hiatus for the moment! He will be back though.

I like the idea of him teaming with Joe Henning! :) Think it could do wonders for both men.
I'm a fan of Ted so I'm hoping when he comes back he stay's healthy and gets a good storyline/feud too work with.
