View Full Version : Who will be the winner of this year MITB?

So who do you think/hope will win the Money In The Bank case this year?
I hope the Raw MITB winner is Dolph Ziggler because of his break-up with Vickie and Swaggo, and when he is on his own it is the right time to push him to the main event level.
For Smackdown, I pray to god for Cody Rhodes because he knows how to bring prestige to the title as we saw on his Intercontinental Championship reign. Because what Sheamus is doing right now except Brogue Kicking everybody their heads off? You tell me.

The WWE title briefcase winner should be Dolph Ziggler hands down. He's starting a storyline of breaking out on his own, and winning this would be perfect for him.
The WHC briefcase winner should be Wade Barrett if he's back in time. He was on a major roll before his injury, and winning the briefcase would regain him the momentum he had before he got injured. It'll instantly guarantee that he'll be back in the main event spotlight.
If Barrett isn't back, then Rhodes is the next obvious choice. Another who's been slowly building up for a good 2 years now, and IMO is ready for the main event.

I agree with this, For Raw: Dolph For Smackdown:Cody Rhodes or Wade Barrett (if he is back)

After performing a 5 man muscle buster?
And now Ryback, marching around the ring with 5 men on his back!!!

I agree with most of you about Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes winning the MITB this year those will be great but If Wade Barrett does return I would like him to win as well.

They had this forum a few days ago, but maybe some missed it. This is what i put in that forum:
I like surprises and if it were up to me I would like to see a person win MITB that nobody thought would win. And no I don't mean Santino!
Would love to see Sandow win. Antonio would surprise me. Ryback would also be interesting.
But if we are going predictable, as usual, then my best guess is either Barrett, Ziggler or Rhodes.

A while back there wasn't room for Rhodes in the world title picture. At this time, it seems as though the world title picture is a bit less crowded, now that Ortons suspended, Christian bumped down to the IC title picture, Bryan feuding with Punk and Barrett injured. This is a good chance for them to make Rhodes into a main eventer. But we know it won't happen. Barrett will end up with the SD briefcase. I don't mind, since hes proven that hes a main eventer. Besides, I don't want to see Rhodes in a feud with someone who's not as good of a wrestler as himself. Barrett and Sheamus have a similar frame, and can work well together.

I want to see Ziggler as WWE champion, but HE BETTER NOT WIN THE MITB. Sick and tired of people having to use MITB to win their first World Championship.

Who says he has to win the title?
Wining MITB does not = winning the title.

That made me laugh. You know in this age it pretty much means you're winning the title.

It's a well known fact that WWE have been talking about having a failed cash in for some 2 years. No, it hasn't happened yet, but it's going to happen sooner rather than later.

It is interesting that everyone is talking about Ziggler, Rhodes and Barrett, obviously them all being heels. And I can understand this being the case, as they are all great performers and as the current WWE Champions or WHC Champions are faces in CM Punk and Sheamus.
So can nobody see any faces winning either briefcase?
Because I cannot think of a mid-card face who is either good enough or been on TV enough lately to be a WWE Champion or WHC Champion.
I would like to see Alex Riley win because I have been a fan of his when he broke off from The Miz.

You're right. there aren't any mid-card faces that jump out as potential winners, so if a face was to win it would be a big surprise.
And with the reports that the winner of both briefcases are going to be guys that haven't won it before, that narrows it down further.

Since Swagger haven't all the winners been heels (with Bryan turning because of it)? I just think winning a title through MITB, fits better with WWE's current image of heels because they are in essence cheap/cowardly wins, usually against a champion who is incapable of defending themselves.

That's the way I see it too. It just makes sense for the winner to be a heel, or be a face who turns after cashing in.

Really? I could swear it was just a bunch of wrestling fans who wanted someone to fail a cash in for years. Almost everytime someone wins the briefcase, someone says "They're going to cash in and not win the title". I doubt it's going to happen anytime soon, even if you have someone like Ziggler or Rhodes in there (who are small guys compared to the current main eventers Sheamus, ADR, Cena). They wouldn't just waste a chance of crowning a new champion. Then again, it's the WWE, so they do what they want.

It's been reported a few times that they want a failed cash in. they considered Miz for it, and Bryan was under serious contention to not win too.
But for me, if Ziggler/Rhodes/Barrett win a briefcase, then I'd rather see them win the title too.

It would be cool if they did what RVD did several years back and have them cash it in at a PPV in an actual match, it would be a good way to get a face over as a legit main eventer.

Lol THIS age? As opposed to 7 years ago when it started? ;)
I'm looking for the swerve in at least one of the matches. I think Barrett is a safe bet but I wouldn't discount them giving it to Sin Cara, Sandow, Johhny Curtis or even someone from FCW - Kassius Ohno maybe - as a way to try the "instant get over". Hell, I wouldn't put it past them to give it to Hornswoggle.

The promos would be interesting.....
But I think you're right. Apparently there's talk of some debuts happening soon, possible as soon as the 1000th episode of Raw, so we could see one of those guys win a briefcase.

I'd actually like to see The Miz win the WWE case. If you believe what you read his de-push has been his own fault but I'd like to see him rise back up and then be the first to fail to win the belt. As for the WHC case I agree with the Barrett or Ziggler school of thought but I'd prefer to see Rhodes win the title cleanly-ish in a proper match.

The fact is usually the people you expect to win...DON'T. Think about, Punk twice, Kane, The Miz, Daniel Bryan, Jack Swagger, not really what would be considere favorites going into those MITBS. So I have no idea.

Mark my words one will be entriely wasted on someone like Otunga or Big Show a croney of Johnny Ace who will use it to "get at" someone Ace has been gunning for like Punk or Cena...*sigh*...what kind of a world do we live in when a man dressed like that get's all that attention...?

This pretty much sums up my thoughts. Something tells me WWE will want a face to win one of the briefcases though.
I'd really like to see Ziggler & Swagger going up 2 ladders side-by-side with Ziggles super kicking Swagger of his ladder & grabbing the briefcase. This could give Ziggler something to do until he cashes in his chance & be a real slap in Vickie and Swagger's faces.

Ryback will win two mitb at the same time!! 10 man muscle buster, off a ladder, through the ring, through the floor, into the core of the earth. That will be added to WWE 14 next year.
Oh, Barrett i hope for smackdown. Screw Ziggler and Rhodes, let them keep this slow ascent. Got a very bad feeling big show will win Raws..

Wade Barrett and Big show
I swear I read Big show is in line for Cm punk at summerslam, which would mean a win for him at MITB and Wade Barret because its about time he received a push and I actually would love a Sheamus/Barrett feud for the WHC.

I think it could be Dean Ambrose or Ted Dibiase.Dean Ambrose could make a debut at Raw 1,000 and Ted would be a face to push with Rhodes and Barrett coming up short.

It will be Rhodes and Ziggler. Barrett shan't be back, Claudio/Sandow are too small mainstream to be champions within a year or even carry the buzz of being MITB holders. Would like to see Ryback win it as they should push him quick to get our next powerhouse but between lack of real opponents and MITB being unsuitable for his dominating persona, he won't.

Raw- Cody Rhodes since I heard he was not only transferring over to Raw, but is supposed to be starting a program with CM Punk. However as a long shot face winner I would pick Zack Ryder or Kofi Kingston.
Smackdown!- Wade Barrett if he is back which I think he should be, but even if he wasn't one hundred percent healthy, I'd love for him to fake an injury on the outside and then take down the briefcase after the destruction had already been done. A long shot(not so much) face to win it could be Christian to pull out the RVD and challenge at a PPV and lose.
