Recently and since the closing of ECW , WWE has been promoting the hell out of the " land of extreme " . However the match that truly captivated my attention and made me a lifelong ECW faw was between Shane Douglas vs 2 Cold Scorpio for the NWA championship . You probably remember the end of this match , when Shane threw down the NWA belt and declared himself the new ECW champion . WWE for some reason has erased this match , its like it never happpened . The match in my view was a classic , filled with near falls , incredible wrestling ability and an ending that is legendary . Why has WWE not featured this match on any ECW DVD ? Why is it gone ?

May have to do with the fact that it featured the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship? I dunno honestly but i would think that.

I don't know about the match itself but the story of the belt being thrown down and Shane declaring himself to be the ECW Heavyweight Champion appears on The Rise and Fall of ECW,and Shane's promo which I think was after the match is on the DVD as well. I don't remember it all that well, I tend to listen to documentaries more than I watch them.

True which is why it boggles my mind why the match isn't included
