Hi Folks,

First time post, long time reader of EWN! Ok, I was a huge 'rasslin from from the mid 80s until early 2000s, watching WWWF/WWF/WWE, Dubya C Dubya and ECW. Most recently (last 2/3 years) I tend to watch SOME TNA. I read spoilers every week, but I tend to watch maybe and hour and half of the Impact showings on Challenge Tv (UK). I have been to many live WWE events in the UK, and have never missed at least 1 show when TNA comes over. The main reason for this, is my Brother has special needs and is an avid wrestling fan (even at 23, he still goes mad for it).

I am more of a TNA viewer and supporter than WWE. WWE has its day, it is successfull, so is TNA in its own way.

My ideas (should anyone give a fire truck) are solely ideas in my head, that would/could work for TNA. I wont go the whole Bischoff/Hogan bashing (Although IMO, they can do a lot better creatively without both of them...the company is surviving without Flair ((who apparently earned 20k a showing..))) Anyway, I digress.

TNA as a product is strong, you have some very talented wrestlers, who, IMO, are not used correctly (wow...this is news to you). I was happy recently when I read AA had won the Heavyweight belt, and ROOOOOO (Booby Roode) is a great talent/was a great champion (I think his reign could have and should have gone on a wee bit longer)

TNA seems to have this thing of brining in some 'has beens'. Matt Hardy, Matt Morgan (he did NOTHING for the company), Ric Flair (as Morgan), Mick Foley (I love Foley, but this man is so greedy with Money, its unreal)...I could go on, we all know the facts.

My idea (should anyone in TNA read this, or have the chance to) is this: Why not have some fans, and I know some are going to roll their eyes and this, and TNA may receive some outrages suggestions, BUT, much like WWE did the ;fan voting' match thingy bob, you know, why don’t TNA let fans put some ideas forward for Scrip’s? IE - put forward some ideas for certain matches, a feud, put together some sort of match.
i say this because many moons ago I had an E wrestling account, and some of the scrip’s and promos those guys used to write we beyond WWE, amazing.
This put us, the fans, in the driving seat. We know what we want, but TNA don’t deliver. The current AJ/Daniels thing with Claire...is pathetic. I don’t care what anyone says. It had a half decent build up, however, it was obvious, to me anyway, that Dixie/AJ, who were clearly not having a 'scripted' affair, nor was it ever going to be that. The acting was poor. Bad build up, bad delivery at the end. No point to it. That’s what TNA is about. No point. Many feuds start, go to one PPV...then that’s it.
I’m not bashing, I’m stating facts.

Joe and Angle work good together...why not have a LONG standing feud between them...bring back the abduction storyline, let it run for a few months (it worked for WWE and the running over of Stone Cold), Angle could be part of the ones who kidnapped him and did him in. It could also lead on to the current 3 'ninjas' attacking Sting, maybe a bit like NWO??? Angle and whomever else starting a new faction within TNA. All based around 'the vets' against the young ones (i know its been done...but with the right work it can be something else). i don’t see anything in TNA that stands out as amazing to me.
AJ Styles, Daniels, Kaz, Beer Money, Suicide, jay Lethal...I could really go on, I know some of them are no longer there, BUT they can and should have done a lot more with them. jay Letha was a pleasure to watch wrestle, as is AJ styles (until recently). TNA has some GREAT talent, RVD...what’s going off with him. It seems as thought they have TOO MUCH to work with. Maybe get rid of the cling on's and keep the ones the FANS WANT. Not what Hogan wants (he was my hero when I was younger, now I see him as this stale old turd that keeps clinging to the side fo the bowl, and no matter how hard you flish, it wont let go, it keeps hanging on for another day, week, month, year, in the hope that someone will recognize that Turd as being HH..Step aside Hogan and let some fresh talent come though)

I put this to TNA to let the FANS decide what they want, of course the writers and creative team should work with fans ideas, (if feasible) and do something that’s different. Who wants 40-45 mins of talking on a wrestling show. lets have 1hr and 30 of wrestling and 25-30 mins of talking/building feuds.

Maybe this has been covered before, I have so many ideas rushing through my head, I need to put them down. TNA can be something bigger than WWE (look how well they do in ratings in the UK). We love TNA, and most of their shows when their tour sell out, and IMO, they have a better live product than WWE (I fell asleep last time I saw WWE live)

Please post feedback/suggestions...whatever.

its time TNA let the fans speak....
Love in a peacful world

I have been very critical of TNA in the past. I would be considered a "WWE mark" for those that want to use that term. BUT TNA in the past few weeks (since they have gone live pretty much) has been off the hook amazing. The build up of AA and the way it went down was done absolutely perfectly. The follow up to this is so important. I don't know exactly what they should do but it must be good. Yes the dixie/AJ storyline isnt great but anything to get those 4 guys (AJ, Angle, Daniels, Kaz) in the ring together I will support. The BFG series is not going exactly the way I expected and I love it. I though James Storm would dominate (not lose a match) and wrestle Roode at BFG and win and we all celebrate bla bla bla. But I have no idea who is going to win and that is the way it should be. Esp with AA winning the title.

TNA is turning things around finally. There is still crap there no doubt but it is 100% better than it was a year ago. They need to just continue to improve and slowly build themselves up. Don't try to compete with the WWE it will never work. Do what you do well and do it consistantly.

I hope they can do this.

I agree 100%, what TNA had failed to realize in the past few years is that you need your core product to be better than you go and gain exposure, unfortunately they signed a bunch of people to gain exposure, moved to Monday nights to gain exposure ... but put on a crap show which let to all that exposure going down the drain, now that they are consistently producing good shows, now is the time to advertise and gain exposure and now when people tune into Impact people will see that they are a putting on a great product and will stay and watch.

Another note you said is true, build slowly, give things a sense of purpose and backstory.... that was one of the HUGE things that TNA screwed up as they changed things from week to week in search of ratings. although I'm finally glad they are embracing the "good things comes to those who wait" philosophy now, the ratings may not be great right now but if they continue to produce the shows and getting people talking about how good their shows are than its only a matter of time until they start to gradually rise, all they need now is patience to not change their product drastically just to get better ratings.

Very true. IMO that's the big thing that will get them permanent higher ratings in the long run.

Agree. Totally.

Perhaps there is a market somewhere for TNA to fill where ECdubya left off? Perhaps another 'brand'. A little like RingKaKing, but more Hardcore. im not a huge 'hardcore wrestling' matches fan, but what worked for ecw is they were different and had their own 'cult' fans, somthing TNA may have, even in little drones. I prefer TNA to the other one because its fresh, its new, and you dont have to be over 6'3 to be the champ. (i know thats not relativly true in WWE at the moment). Vinnie Mac is high on wrestling being over 6 5 and 250lbs, when in truth, most of them over that height and weight are dire.
Some of my fav matches ever have been watching cruisers/x division wrestlers. This is another market for TNA, and they should do this quickly before WWE does. Apprantly they are looking to start a new cruiserweight division soon, but TNA have the talent and more to get there before them, perhaps they sould do a X-division brand with the 6 sided ring? get rid of Xplosion and may have X-division show once a week? I would watch that for sure, where as, I read the spoilers about Impact on here, and generally maybe watch 1hr of the programme, hardly watch the full show. (my bad)

Get the ratings up to 2.0 with 2 million+ fans then push for another hour of wrestling not that crap xplosion puts on! (Granted some matches on the show are fantastic) slap the Xplosion name on it (Seen as the own the trademark already, cheaper!) and then build that show for people that don't appear on Impact and only those that don't appear on impact, do a 5 minute montage of Impact on the show max!
