View Full Version : J.R. Hopes of Announcing UFC?

I have known for a while that JR has been a huge MMA fan and has shown interest in annoucing there. Here is his latest regarding this:

" The UFC upper mgmt people know that I have an interest in their product and I think that my style would fit what they do quite well especially when they begin expanding their roster of broadcasters. Who knows, WWE might want me to do something on an occasional basis but I must point out that there is absolutely no plans to that affect at this time."

Personally, I would love to hear good ol JR call a UFC match. Imagine JR and Joe Rogan at the annoucers position!

Joe Rogan, Mike Goldberg, and JR would be f'n AMAZING.

I'd MMMAAARRRKKK OOOUUUTTT to hear him call a UFC PPV alongside Goldberg and Rogan. J.R is the ONLY mainstream wrestling announcer that could make the transition to MMA. When he's talking I listen.

Plus his "catchphrases" would fit in the world of mixed martial arts.

I could also see him announcing for strikeforce. God knows they could use him.

We are set for tonights main event, it's Lesnar vs. Big Country. It's gonna be a slobberknocker! The world is watching!

Not sure how he'd fit with Goldberg and Rogan - one of them would have to go and it wouldn't be Goldberg! Joe would end up calling UFN's with Kenny Florian(who ain't bad btw!).

Announcing is definitely where Ken Flo needs to be. I've no desire to see him fight again. Sorry but thats just the way I feel.

The UFC announce team is perfect as is. It shouldn't be tinkered with.
