Ive noticed this for a while whenever undertaker does a in ring promo he uses a microphone without the wwf/wwe logo on it. everyone else always uses a mic with the logo on?. Anyone got any ideas why this is. check on youtube and you will see in all his promos he never uses a mic with a logo on weird??

Thinking back, he started ripping the logo off the mike after the Montreal Screwjob when he was leading (I believe) the backstage protests against Vince and his actions. It seems to have stuck and become a trademark of his since then.

A clear message to Vince not to f*ck with the DeadMan!!!!!

i've noticed he's done that since the bad ass days.

i guess its just because of the way he holds the mic...thats what i've always assumed anyway.

from what i see its because of his gloves, he couldn't hold it with the mic cube on it

those gloves he wears look almost as thick as boxing gloves he might have a hard time holding the mic because iv'e noticed it's usually a much smaller mic than the normal one.

i thought he was always on vince's side for the montreal screwjob? so that cant be it, maybe it is the gloves but i still dont see wwe missing a branding moment just for that.

I don't think it really matters how he holds the mic. What matters is when he speaks.

He could have a TNA mic and still deliver.

I'm surprised how you'd notice something so small! Good eye.

I'll have to keep a lookout for it.

you gotta remember how big his hands are and then add the extra padded gloves to it. so it's way easier to hold it without the cube, if you notice when he pics up and talks with one someone else had he holds it kind by the cube at an angle to talk.

Remember what they say about guys with big hands...............they have to hold their mic differently

I think it just adds to his mystique..............or maybe the colour of the logo clashes with his eyyes somethin terrible!

Yes he wears MMA gloves so he doesn't use the squared-cube WWE logo thing on it.

I don't think it really matters how he holds the mic. What matters is when he speaks.

He could have a TNA mic and still deliver.

Moreover, he could cut a promo for the next TNA PPV and still get WWE and whatever they're selling over. He could be holding a mic with 3D pictures of unicorns banging each other on the side of a rainbow and still sell whatever he's got to push.

- Answer: Because he doesn't want to remind himself how old he is and how long he has been with WWE. LOL

I've noticed this for a long time -
and to answer your question, IMO it's just because it adds to his character - he appears as a loner, and it add's to the mystery of "The Undertaker" if he's seen breaking rules/appearences everybody else keeps to

Also, he's the Phenom! - he can do what he bloody wants!
