How the hell can a WWE Championship match NOT headline Raw?!

i am a HUGE jomo fan and i hope he wins tonight even though its very unlikely, i hope this feud builds to a match at mania cause that would be great, finally new faces in the title picture not orton or superCENA and i think it would be a good match and both these guys cause they can be huge stars if wwe keeps pushing them. but as of tonight i think there will be alot of interference but correct me if im wrong, a falls count anywhere is a no count out no DQ which means there cant be a no contest, so i think jomo will be screwed leading to a match at the royal rumble

As long as we don't get a repeat of Triple H and Randy Orton from No Mercy a couple years ago.

a falls count any where match is a no dq no count out match but there could be a swerve . and anyway companies dont always keep match rules like one time in tna someone got disqualified in a ladder match so anything could happen in wwe

Seriously.
A World Title match should always be at the top of the card.
And with this match as the opening bout, we have no reason to keep watching Raw afterwards.

But the top championship is supposed to be the absolute most important thing on the show!

It is but the idea of a championship match as an opening bout kills the point of having a main event. Unless they have something good planned later on.

If thats what they planned, then its not good. CM Punk and Nexus will spice things up :)

It is stupid to have the companys best title defended in a match for the opening bout yes, but theres a good reason behind it. WWE wants to start of 2011 well, not with divas, or midcarders. They want to kick things off with their champion, and the #1 contender. As for Raw, we'l have plenty of reason to watch:
*Since its 2011, maybe they'l let Bryan have longer matches than the 1 minute matches hes been having for the past month!!!
*The Nexus has become slightly interesting again
*John Cena won't wrestle
*CM Punk will be there, and will likely cut an awesome promo on how he took out Cena
*Randy Orton and/or Sheamus will have a match

Yeah, it worked tonight because it's billed as the first match of the year, and they made it one you'll remember. "Oh hey man, remember that kickass JoMo/Miz FCA match?" "Yeah, it was the first fucking match of the year dude." It could have been second to last match because a Title Match between two fresh main eventers isn't going to take priority to a cage match with an established superstar, Title or no Title. And the main event was still awesome. I don't see why you're complaining. Would you rather see the first 20 minutes of the show doing recaps and promos? You usually get a match and a half in the first hour on RAW. I'm all for more wrestling and less talking, and we had a spectacular opener and closer tonight.

The WWE wanted the title match right up front to start 2011 with a bang. The match was great, the crowd was crazy, how much better cold it have been?
