This was a very well contested match. A lot of back and fourth, a lot of good moves. Cena definitely held his own.

I would love to see this match now. It was so great then. It would be better now. JOHN CENA vs. DANIEL BRYAN for the WWE Championship.

Kaz's match with Paul London was pretty good.
There's also a match between Paul London and Nunzio for the Cruserweight title that I remember was THE shit.

I don't remember much from Velocity, but I remember watching Jakked. IMO..Billy Gunn was the Jakked World Champion. He was like a main eventer every week.

My favorite was when Eddie Guerrero had a parking lot brawl with somebody on Velocity. I marked out hugely because that was big (for me) to see a match like that on a show I considered extremely lower to the likes of Smackdown! an Raw. I think it was around 2003 or 2004. I would show a video but apparently nobody has a video of it up on the land of youtube. Velocity an Sunday Night Heat were fun.. It was ran by the Cruiserweight division an upper-Mid Carders which I thought was a great way for them to showcase themselves beyond what they were capable of doing on the 2 main shows.

Any time I think about Velocity, I think about 2 matches. This one and Victoria vs Super Stacy. Probably the best match Stacy Kiebler ever had.

I never watched Velocity that much i tried to catch it every so often..... but i do remember seeing a Amazing match between Paul London and Jamie Noble, i wasnt paying attention to much to the match but as it went on i got more and more interested, its a great match for Veloicty. Jamie Noble was a Amazing worker, i seen some of his PWG matches he had, the AJ Styles match in PWG is incredible

When I saw this thread open, I was going to post the Beniot/Regal match but can see its already one of the first one here.
Such an amazing match, it really is a shame we dont get REAL wrestling anymore on WWE. I wish WWE just let Bryan, Punk, Regal ect just wrestle. No bull shit endings or screw jobs with crappy story.
Is that too much to ask?
Ahh the good old days.

Wow Beniot and Regal was on Velocity... How the hell did i miss that... they should have a B level show and let lower card guys have Awesome long matches (not saying Beniot and Regal are lower card). Wouldnt it be great if they had a late night saturday show and we got to see 20 min Bryan vs Bourn matches or just a place where guys get a bunch of tv time that dont get it on SmackDown or Raw to get some seasoning by having long hard fought matches

Well we do have Superstars. I only they would put as much effort into it as they did with Heat and Velocity.

What were the ratings like? Better than Superstars?

Yes and no. The shows started at the pinnacle of WWE's 90's success. Heat came on MTv and Velocity came on USA for a while, then they took Velocity off thr air and put Heat in its timeslot. Then Heat went back to MTv with Tough Enough and Velocity never came back. Then Heat went online and died and obbviously Tough Enough left as well but, is on its way back. Whew.

Thankyou for the history. I suppose Heat and Velocity didn't have proper storylines either? I mean like the storyline of Chris Masters and Tyler Reks, where they are just wrestling each other, then others, then each other again for no reason behind it.

Actually, unlike shows like Metal and Superstars, both H & V had their own occasional storyline's, Heat more so than Velocity. Not major ones, of course, but there were usually a few backstage vignettes on Heat to promote the main event.
Velocity always had a cruiserweight match or two, so that made it great in it's self!

To be fair, Superstars often has better wrestling action than Raw and Smackdown.

I just never liked it, but I have heard that there have been quite a few good matches on the show. I remember one night when I was surfing through the channels on my television set bored out of my mind an then I ended up coming across it on WGN an decided to watch it for the first time. The first match I believe was Legacy vs. Carlito an Chris Masters, and it was pretty entertaining. ...When Carlito an Ted Dibiase were the ones in the ring wrestling eachother that is. But I will give the show a half thumbs up since it has showcased some of the talent you will rarely see on Raw an Smackdown!. But I will stick by what I said. I just liked that cruserweight dominance image they provided the viewers of Velocity an Sunday Night Heat. Lol.

That is worth watching without any main events, or bigger guys :D

I'd say more frequent wrestling, without any breaks for promos or storylines in beetween. But Raw and Smackdown have better wrestling.

I don't know if someone has said this already but Benoit vs Regal. I think from either late 2005/early 2006
