As I was looking at the participants in this years Rumble I noticed the fact that Regal has only ever appeared in 2 Rumble matches throughout his long career in the WWE (2001 and 2009). Now I know Regal has been in line for pushes before, but Regal is still underrated in my opinion, he can cut a promo, wrestle a great match and can play a heel or do comedy well.
Thoughts? Opinions? Favourite Regal Moments?

Why wasn't he put into more matches? I mean, I'm sure he wasn't injured when the Rumble was on year after year. I think they just forgot about him. It sickens me to have to see Regal barely used on Raw, and when he is used, hes used in comedy segments, or an extra that comes out with the jobbers.

This too is too easy to answer. He is old, he is doing a good job being a mechanic, that is what he was hired for and that is all he will always be.

I love Regal, and i think a feud with him and Bryan would be great to see.
And he's a bit of a legend here in the UK, we love the guy
And he isn't too old, he's only a year older than Triple H.

I hope Regal gets 1 more good rivalry before he retires, Bryan would be a perfect choice.

Regals book is a must read. It's probably one of the best that WWE has published! His run as Eugene's minder was fantastic, it was wrestling comedy at it's finest. His run with Tajiri, is something, I'll look back on fondly when I'm an old man aswell. He was also one of the best GM's ever! His interaction with Jericho back in 2000 was priceless, although those matches werent great, it was a great rivalry between two of my favourite wrestlers ever!
As for his career, it's a shame that during his biggest push with the company he blew it, by failing a drug test. He was on his way to the top, but, I guess, it just wasn't to be. Saying that, he's still had a great career in WWE, that has had some wonderful moments. Try to look at the positives, instead of the negatives, and be happy that he's been able to provide for his family for such a long time. Also, his style is very different to what is the norm in VinnieLand, and his physique hasn't always been perfect, so it's actually quite suprising he did as well as he has!
Tough enough is also around the corner, and Mr Regal has to be a favourite for one of the coaches. My fingers are crossed for him.
