I was about to actually watch the video and say good spotting until you did the maths that don't mean anything. The numbers are a date, nothing more, nothing less. Anyone can manipulate numbers to meet whatever means they want.
In WWE Sting wouldn't be recognized as a 13 time world champion! He has been:
6 time WCW Champion, 1 time NWA Champion (Jim Crockett Promotions) - These could be counted as they were with Ric flair, goldberg and booker T. Many others weren't though: Dusty Rhodes, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart were never acknowledged for winning WCW or NWA belts ONLY WWE titles.
2 time TNA Champion,1 time NWA Champion (TNA) and 1 time WWA Champion- These won't. Christian isn't referred to as "former world champion" and neither is R-Truth or even Gail Kim.
2 time WCW International World Heavyweight Champion.- This isn't considered major by WWE
Going by ric flair logic, WWE only accepted his NWA, WCW and WWF title wins:
WWE states that Flair is:
8 Time NWA World Champion
6 Time WCW World Champion

in reality Flair is an 10 Time NWA World Champion

I agree that the numbers are meaningless. Although the beard does look an awful lot like Shawn, 'Taker also has some pretty light facial hair. As far as the smoke saying STING, that appears to be pretty legit in the first video, though it is edited completely in the second and third video to have significantly less smoke.

And finally, Vince is a savvy and ruthless business man. I would not put it past him to pull out ALL the stops in making this years Wrestlemania THE biggest in company history and putting Professional Wrestling BACK on the pop culture radar. (No thanks Matt Hardy.)...

These things all lead me to believe that POSSIBLY it COULD in fact be STING that is returning...
but I would have it go something like this.

Explain to me how a cabin in the middle of nowhere with a guy in a trench coat is similar to a guy jumping off a wall into an alley. Both have a boot with some rain on it, that has to be it. All of the IWC myself included ran with this and warped our minds trying to find reasons it might be Sting. As I have stated before I would love for it to be Sting, but I am not going to boycott a show if something I was never told I was getting doesn't show up on 2/21/11.

That's actually a very good point. The matches on Raw are all over. Finally, the house lights go black and the 2.21.11. promo plays on the tron as the Undertaker makes his way to the ring and asks for mic. Then, in the middle of 'Taker's promo, the lights dim again and the 2.21.11. promo starts to air again, but with slightly different scenery. 'Taker is shown in the ring with a look of confusion on his face. We cut back to the 2.21.11. promo and see 'Taker clearly. Just then, the camera pans down to the top of a casket inside the shack to reveal a scorpion crawling across the surface. The lights go black again, lightning strikes and thunder rolls throughout the arena until, in classic fashion, Sting is revealed waiting aloft in the rafters. Fade to credits, and that would be one of the most satisfying segments I could ever imagine seeing on Raw.

I love it. It seems to be one of those scenarios that would leave you wanting more. Like The Rock's return this week on Raw! (which BTW I will see on a big screen once it airs tomorrow).


And if I may chime in, with last week's awesome Rock show (Raw), and if this scenario were to happen one week later, WOW!, MARK OUT like a Bi##, PASS OUT, GET DRUNK and COMATOSE, well not comatose but you get the point! ;)

Side note: For those who keep trying to piece together a puzzle with the dates, to try to make the number 21, I think your'e looking too much into it. Sure it makes sense for..lets say Triple H, with 13 world title reigns + Taker, with 8 title world title reigns=21 title reigns, which is also the date that "the trenchcoat man" will show up on Raw. I don't think the WWE would plan for Trips and Taker to get to those exact amounts of title reigns, and wait for that date, just to do a match. Theres an explanation for the date, that seems more logical. With WM on the horizon, there needs to be enough time to do great promos to hype up WM matches, and what better day to start, than the day after the final PPV before Mania. This is the longest time period till Mania, so of course they would be smart to use that time to sell their matches.

This is true, however, all of those Sting promos were from WCW and TNA. McMahon isn't exactly a huge fan of following WCW's formulas. I understand and agree that it is most likely only the Undertaker, but there are just a few things that look a bit off, as we've all mentioned previously. Personally, I really hope it is Sting, though I don't expect it to be. As far as 'Taker always being shown coming back in his promos, that's not true. We typically have his random appearances leading up to SummerSlam each year when he comes back from his time off. These promos are a bit different than what is normally done for him. No, it's not remotely identical to the Sting promo of '97. But it does look rather suspect once inspected.

The thing about the dates is true. I think people try to make sense of them, to "prove" that their prediction is correct. Its like a 2012 prediction or something! The fact is..the date means nothing. This is true, however, all of those Sting promos were from WCW and TNA. McMahon isn't exactly a huge fan of following WCW's formulas. I understand and agree that it is most likely only the Undertaker, but there are just a few things that look a bit off, as we've all mentioned previously. Personally, I really hope it is Sting, though I don't expect it to be. As far as 'Taker always being shown coming back in his promos, that's not true. We typically have his random appearances leading up to SummerSlam each year when he comes back from his time off. These promos are a bit different than what is normally done for him. No, it's not remotely identical to the Sting promo of '97. But it does look rather suspect once inspected.

In my heart of hearts I WANT it to be Sting. However, all signs point to Undertaker.
The only problem I have though is Why would Vince make such a BIG DEAL out of this Return?
EVERYONE WANTS it to be Sting (to the point that they are fooling themselves into thinking it's him.
People are going to be disappointed... even though we KNOW it's 'Taker, there is still going to be a level of disappointment that it's JUST The Dead Man.
My other issue with this is WHY is he reurning to RAW?

I'm not sure, but i think it's only EVER shown to the TV audience. I've always noticed it play just as they return from adverts when it does(in the UK our adverts are usually 2minutes shorter-if that doesn't play we get the Raw logo and music playing for a minute odd). Normally they only reference videos that actually air in the middle of the show not when there's dead air. I'm not saying it's not shown in the arenas, but it seems to be aimed at TV viewers - the only people that would know are those that have attended one of the last three raws.
