What if Ric Flair never went to TNA?
-Would Fortune exist?
Would we respect him more?
Would he be broke?
Let me know your thoughts.

No without Flair I dont think they would have done Fourtune, they may have just added them to Immortal instead. He had already ruined his retirement by losing to Hogan on his tour, and he may have worked his way back into WWE to avoid money troubles.

But he was the mouthpiece of Fortune. Without him, I couldn't really see awesome promos from them. Maybe Beer Money, but thats it. They would all have to take turns talking just to attempt to cut a promo as epic as Flairs(not so epic anymore though).

Its a tough question, Aj would obv not have gone through that stupid transformation, and may have even stayed face.

Without Flair there would not have been Fortune, as it's a re-make of the 4 Horsemen and Evolution. I would definitely have respected him more if he hadn't gone to TNA, and yes, there is a good chance that he would be broke if he hadn't (so you could say he had no choice, although the WWE door was always going to be open to Flair).

if he didnt wrestle AT ALL, since his retirement match then he can join whatever company and I would have lost no respect, its just he laced up the boots again, and again.

Yes, fair enough, as long as he doesn't wrestle, I have no problem with Flair staying in the game. But it was never going to happen, was it.

The Fortune idea wasn't good in the first place. Sure they got Flair delivering top notch promos, but they have wasted the other talent in Fortune, especially AJ, who should have continued to be a face, and be the "best wrestler of 2010" that he was said to be.

yeah
it wasn't really a choice for flair
before hogans tour
flair signed a contract with him to join hogan with any endeavours he took on
when hogan signed with TNA
flair was obligated too
so will continue over the next two more years
basically for me to comment further
we'll need a hogan to TNA thread
and who cares really

Doesn't Hogan's contract finish at the end of this year?

- Without Flair there wouldn't be a Fourtune in name, but there may have been a faction that surfaced with a different name.
- I didn't lose respect for Flair when he joined TNA. He waas in other companies before WWE, and he was in WCW for much of the 90's. I lost respect for him when wrestled the first time. He basically spat on the WWE and the tribute to him from the Hall of Fame through RAW. His entrance at WrestleMania was one of the most expensive in history. His goodbye on RAW was one of the most emotional moments in history. If Shawn Michaels came out and said that he talked with Flair and gave him the okay to wrestle again, then I would be okay with it. But during HIS goodbye speech, he said that he wouldn't disrespect the Undertaker by wrestling again. Sounds to me HE wasn't that happy with the situation either.
- He's the Nature Boy. He's making royalties on the Ric Flair DVD the WWE produced, and probably royalties on other DVD's too. Plus, he could make appearances (not wrestling, but just appearances), so no, he wouldn't be money challenged anytime soon. Plus the WWE would only be a phone call away.
