The Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio Steel Cage Match = Great Match!

Christian and Del Rio put on one hell of a match in the main event. Good shit. Those two made each other in that match. I was also surprised at the ending with Christian going over cleanly. Perhaps this is a hint they may be adding him into the main event at Mania? *crosses fingers*

If this does not lead to Christian being added to the main event at Wrestlemania, I'll honestly feel it is an injustice move on WWEs part. I mean, Edge and Del Rio sounds like a good match, but it just lacks the proper build up to feel like a Mania match, IMO. Throwing Christian into the match will complete it honestly. Christian already has heat going with Del Rio and he has strong ties with Edge. All three of them would put on a good match.

Thoughts on the match and the possible addition of Christian in the main event?

The match was great, but I didn't enjoy the finish so much. But it's understandable that the WWE didn't want to make Alberto to look to weak.

But if I were you, I will lose all hope of seeing Christian at the WHC match. Maybe he will be an enforcer for Edge but thats it. We're just 2 weeks from Mania, and adding another wrestler to a main event match doesn't sound like something Vince would do

As much as I like ADR and Edge, I can't get at all hyped about their WM match. I'm hoping they get it out of the way early on actually. And I don't see ADR winning the strap at WM. I think Miz will go over in the WWE title match so I don't think a heel will get up in the WHC match - not that anything is a given, I understand

i thought giving christian a win would somewhat put the feud to a near end as del rio was the guy that put christian out of action.

doesnt bother me if christian is added to the main event at wrestlemania or not.

I agree with Rich, ADR is not only going to win but he will make a great champ, his win at the Rumble sealed that.
And there is no way Christan is in that WM match, im thinkin Christan will turn Heel at WM by turning on Edge and cost him the title.
But that cage match was sweet, I also enjoyed that Shemus vs Kofi match.
And regaurding the Miz walking out of WM champ, though I think it would be a good idea, and I also originally thought Miz would walk out champ, I have a feeling we are in for a surprise. I know it sounds crazy cuz I think Rock is doing this and leaving us again, but I have a feeling they will have the Rock win the title (similar to Hulk and WM 9)... Because like it was just said, there is no way they will do a double heel Mania and my prediction is Del Rio wins, So that leaves Cena the winner? To predictable cuz if you think about it WM has ended with a happy finish all but one time (17) So if two heels cant win, Cena is to predictable, and their has to be a happy ending what does that leave for WWE to do. Award the strap to Rocky and have him drop it the next night (cuz he is slated to be there anyways right?) To Miz with some sort of dibacle.

Ditto. Plus, I find his promos to be gold, and his matches to outshine most of the other ones in the WWE. But with only a few weeks left till Mania, I'm not sure if Christian will be added to the WHC match. But they have been hinting heavily towards that in the past few weeks.

I don't think Alberto's going to win at Wrestlemania. I do think he's going to do it at the following Pay-Per-View, which is going to serve as a smaller part to a huge Edge/Christian feud. I don't think Christian's going to side with Alberto because that wouldn't make any sense at all (just like the whole Edge/Mick Foley pairing), but I do see him doing something to the effect of attacking Alberto, but then out of nowhere, do something to Edge. Just that Alberto will have enough time to recoup and cover Edge or apply his submission to get the win.

It's been 6 years since both championships changed hands at Wrestlemania and I see Edge's championship as the only safe one...at least for Wrestlemania. Not all Rumble winners are successful at WM...remember Edge just last year? Won the Rumble, challenged Jericho at Wrestlemania and still lost. But again, I do see Alberto winning it at the next PPV, if not that, then one after because they usually give guys 2 more shots after Wrestlemania before moving on to a new feud.

Seeing as the grains of Kofi vs ADR have gone, seems likely that it will be his first feud. if it is true that Edge is retiring next year it would be a good idea for him to step down from the ME scene and put over some younger guys, if he stays face then Barrett/Drew/Brodus to elevate them to that next level for when he's gone. Or given that smackdown is full of heels atm, he could turn and put over Kofi.


Given that Raw has Punk, Orton, Cena, Miz, (HHH), Shaemus etc Smackdown needs to step up at little.


Other than that great match between the two, and a feud would be great, they both have good mic skills and the crowd finally semmed to be into Christian

This Is What i was thinking the only Issue is The Rematch Clause...So idk how they would give Edge a rematch and lose and still have time to switch gears for a title match with Christian vs ADR....

The money isn't in a three-way, what fans really wanna see is Christian vs. Edge straight up. But I guess with the youth movement its Del Rio's turn. Del Rio should equal increased Mexican buy rates I guess.

Disagree ENTIRELY. In MY opinion, the OTHER champion, Miz, seems unnatural as champion. Don't get me wrong, the guy is doing an all right job, and anybody who gives John Cena a poorly executed finisher on the padding outside of the ring is all right by me, but I really don't 'feel' him as a champion. I think ADR has the attitude, swagger, skill, and the essence of a champion, and as a heel? That's the shit that creates magic. Sure, it sounds lame, but ADR NEEDS that title, Edge is stagnant at the moment. If Christian does a full-on heel turn and cost Edge the title, ADR will be in the upper-card against somebody new getting pushed, and the stage is set for an Edge v. Christian which is the shot-in-the-arm that Smackdown! needs. There's huge upside for the WWE here depending how they play it, but I'm pretty excited for this to play out. This alone should make Wrestlemania worth it.

Man, according to a new story on this site, the wwe is changing a big match at Mania. They say it will be the adding of Christan, and even though I think its a bad idea to add to an already anticipated match with a match that flat out sucks(triple threat) with only 2 weeks before Mania~ I have to admit when im wrong. Cuz I didnt think WWE would do that, however if the Rock gets added to the Main event against Cena and Miz, remember that was my prediction.

When i was at the taping, the cage match was amazing, the suspense towards the end was great.
Hankamania i read that as well, now if that match was made into a three way...giggle...they should add some sort of excitement to it. I mean those three guys can bring the house down. They will steal the show if its done right. But I wouldnt mind seeing ADR winning b/c in the end I can see Christian going after the title to set up a great fued.

But what is going on with the whole Christian thing? He got another victory over ADR, this time clean, but it still doesnt appear (onscreen) that Christian will be added to the WM match? Do you think they'll add him to the match on Raw with 6 days til Mania?!? Somehow I dont see it. I think he may just be in his corner sadly. I hate triple threat matches. I just dont think it will be a good idea. The only thing to do here is let Christan cost Edge the title and turn him heel and start a great Edge/Christan Feud.
