Now that UFC has bought Strikeforce, is anyone else but me interested in seeing this fight happen? Both fighters are past their prime but I think it would be an awesome fight anyway. Don't know if Fedor has retired or not though, but if not, UFC finally has a piece of him.
Anyway, I'd love to see this fight happen.
Thoughts?

I'm here to revive your thread Rob :)
The match would not be awesome, but it could be a nice send off for those guys. A match of this two in their prime is in my dream mma card, so I would buy it (if I could)

I'm gonna step out on a very thin limb and say both of these guys have one more title run in them. Call me crazy; just a gut feeling.

I hear ya bud. I think Coture has a little Brett Favre circa 2009 in him.

Couture will always have one more title run in him. He is a freak of nature and has the body of someone half his age. Fedor may have a chance but not in the UFC

I just think that interesting fights can be more than title bouts or contention fights. Like rasslin', there should be something for the legends to do - besides press conferences and shitty Stallone movies

I may be the only one still on the Fedor bandwagon but I am riding it till the last stop. Fedor is still a monster and even though he may have lost a couple of fights, he is still one of the top 5 fighters on the planet. I love Coture but I don't think he could topple the Last Emperor

I think Couture genuinly retired from the Octogon at UFC 129 so no

I think Couture's been humbled by that last fight. I'm just starting to watch MMA but I could see that Machida guy was taunting Couture the entire 1.5 rounds, and then Machida came to a complete stop, posed, and Karate Kid kicked Couture into toothlessness.

I dont see Randy coming back just to fight Fedor. Randy is retired and is going to stay retired IMO.

Randy 'll be back but I don't know if it would be specifically for a Fedor fight; he might just get "the itch."
