Ladies and Gentlemen.....
Scratch that, Gentlemen, kiddies and the token female. I present to you the ways of NOT getting your point across in a wrestling forum. (in no particular order, most as seen in this thread)
1) Lack a basic understanding of the English language.
2) Lots of Exclamation Points!!!!!!!!!!!one
3) Lots of Question Marks????????
4) Thinking that TNA is a magical place where happiness, money and unicorns come from.
5) Thinking beyond 15% of a logical series of events will occur in a wrestling storyline.
6) Thinking there is a master plan beyond the next 2 PPVs.
7) Thinking that the plan is concrete beyond the next TV Taping.
8) Believing everything to be a Glenn Beck like conspiracy.
9) The inability to think for at least 5 seconds before hitting some sort of "submit post" button.
10) Thinking your wrestling opinion is 100% correct at all times.
11) Thinking every single thing is a work.
12) LOTS OF FUCKING CURSING AND MOTHERFUCKING CAPS!!!!
13) Having an entitlement complex.
14) Ignore all fallacies in your argument
15) Believing that every single superstar/wrestler you like should be pushed/world champ/given more time/liked by every single human alive.
16) Act like an old man complaining about the good old days in excessive form (Attitude Era ended 10 years ago)
17) Getting genuinely mad at this list
I know you not talking about me.... Cause I can only be listed in #2 and 3.... Thank you and good day.....

While i'm thinking, notice in the promo how Edge was holding the mic during a portion of it....
He was clearly flipping off someone???? The Doctor, someone in the WWE, or who????

It's a sad day for wrestling , but at least Edge had the career he deserved . He is a true modern great and from the looks of things the majority of the locker room were friends with him , on another note fuck Hulk Hogan, he has no business in being so stupid , a man can no longer do his jobs as if he does he will damage himself forever. Hogan you had your time in the 80's i wasnt born your an after thought. Edge for the HoF one day :)

- As noted before, Edge has legitimately retired from WWE due to issues with his neck that haven't been improving. Edge had been talking about retiring in two years but told someone as recent as a few weeks ago that he felt like he had five more years left.
It's said that Edge has some writing projects that he will be working on and that he knows what he wants to do with his life and those plans don't have much to do with wrestling. The feeling is that Edge will always stay affiliated with WWE but won't be someone you see working full time behind-the-scenes as an agent or something.
Regarding Edge and the World Heavyweight Title, there was some confusion at RAW last night as to why WWE didn't put Alberto Del Rio over at WrestleMania 27 if they knew there was even a small chance that Edge would be leaving soon.
While WWE's announcement notes that Edge got his MRI results the Monday after WrestleMania, sources indicate that he's been feeling more intense pain for a few weeks now but didn't think he would be forced to retire. Had they known Edge would have to retire, more emphasis would have been put on the WrestleMania match to make it feel more special.
Edge will be at tonight's WWE SmackDown tapings from the Times Union Center in Albany, NY to hand over the World Heavyweight Title since he's retiring.
Edge will be vacating the title in the same building he won his first WWE Title at back in 2006 at WWE's New Years Revolution pay-per-view when he cashed in Money in the Bank after John Cena won the Elimination Chamber. The arena was known as The Pepsi Arena back then.
WWE also released footage of John Cena talking about Edge after last night's Raw referring him as Adam Copeland

Please allow me to give my infinite wisdom on this matter. The Rated R Superstar will be missed. He is a master of the "Ladder Match." I'm happy he can spend his hard earned money and live the good life without the stress of traveling 300 days a year. Maybe now he can write those children books he always wanted. Being in the ring and spotlight is not worth living out your life in a wheelchair. Thanks for the memories but I have a feeling we won't see the last of Edge. I sure hope not...

Admitting it is half the battle dude; just let it go and realize that you just used a horribly placed Bill Engvall quote (also, very outdated, quote someone more contemporary).
On another note, I do think we'll see Edge again. Probably never again in a wrestling capacity, but he'll come back much like Shawn does, maybe not as often, but he won't stay away forever. He loves the fans to much and the fans love him too much. And hey, maybe he'll commentate one day?

I think the reason this was so sudden is because he just re-injured it at last Tuesdays Smackdown tapings. When he speered Brodus Clay during the ADR vs. Christian #1 contenders match he instantly grabbed his neck and you could see he was in pain. He didn't get right up either but the camera when back to the match quickly so I don't know if he stayed down or not. It didn't look very good tho and it could be that the WWE had him get it checked out after that and just got the results back on Monday. I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed it but no one has mentioned it.

It sad to think but Golddust is hinting at retirement too...... Also have seen rumors of Regal and Mark Henry retiring, just hope they hold off....
Also I wouldn't say Regal was ever to involved in the attitude era.. As he came in as it was ending....

It must've just come out of the blue, and Edge making the tough decision, and is legit, becuase why wouldnt they have incorporated it into Mania match. They coulda had ADR win and have the "i retired Edge" brag forever, if it was a work, or if they knew before. Or Edge just winning but announcing it straight after the match, if they knew before WM. So its something, sadly that has come to pass.
The way it could be if it was actually a work (i know its not), was to go away for a good part of the year, to heal up and to stay away from a Christian match up, which was bound to happen, so they could have that at WM 28.
But anyway, big thanks to Edge for what hes done in wreslting to entertain the fans. I loved the E&C tag team, and when he first won the WWE title and became top heel in the biz. Good to see him leave on his terms.

I will remember Edge as the wrestler as simply the best that would work through injuries, put his body through the line for us, and to work past being a mid-card at best to being on of the WWE's top main eventers of all time.

Edge as the Rated R champion when he cashed in MITB and ended Cena's year long WWE Title Reign was the best work of his career. That's the run that will probably stick with me the most. I loved Edge and Christian and the TLC matches that defined them, but Edge really came into his own after his first heel run with the title.
I'll miss him as a wrestler and seeing him on WWE TV every week. I've been watching him ever since I started, and he's entertained me massively throughout this time. I am very happy that he has retired with a world title defense at Wrestlemania as his last match, reunited with Christian and enjoying his greatest period of popularity. I am also happy that he is able to walk away at 37 years of age and will hopefullly be able to enjoy a good quality of life during retirement.
Selfishly, I'd love to see him back as a commentator or (dare I say the dirty word) a manager. He has developed into a fantastic talker during his WWE years, and it'd be a shame if WWE didn't at least try to put that to good use going forward.
Thanks for the memories man, it's been a fun ride.

Edge was never my Favorite Wrestler but he was at time one of my Favorites. Edge stole the Show on many PPVs and at times was the best thing or Raw or Smackdown....
Edge had many Great matches and moments, He deserved his spot where he was and worked his way up the ranks.
There is many Great Edge moments and matches but the one that sticks with me the most wasnt a great promo or his best match but just a moment that was not planed or scripted...
It was Unforgived 2006. it was in Edges Home town of Toronto.... and he was in the Main Event for the world title with John Cena..
Edge came out to a incredible Reaction, the Toronto crowed went nuts for Edge.. it was so Overwhelming that you can see when the Ring anouncer anounced Edge as the Champion, he was so Emotional that you can visably see him crying and he was slapping him self to regain composure.... It was such a sureal moment for him that he broke Charector. You can tell at this moment that this man loved this Bussiness and it was his dream to hold that title, not for money or fame, it was cause he loved Wrestling so much..... You could tell that this is all he ever wanted to do, it was his life dream accomplished...
Edge has such a respect and love for the bussiness, everything it stood for and stands for, he wasnt some ex football player that just droped in by accident, a body builder, or olympic wrestler that looked down on the bussiness but loved the money in it. NO he was a wrestler and all he ever wanted to be.
and in the match right After Edge took a FU/AA off the ladder thru the table, you could see John Cena break character look down at Edge with Guilt and digust before he grabed the WWE title, cause he knew how much this moment and match meant to Edge, how much that title really meant to him and he hated to take it away from him in his home town.... Cena knew and alot of people in the locker room knew how much being world champ and comming back in his home town meant to Edge but after that night everyone watching knew how much it meant not to the Edge character but to Adam Copeland the Man.....
Its very fortunate Edge found out about his spinal Cord issue before it was too late, if he hadnt the results would be terrible. We dont need to see a death like the Legendary and Great Misawa. Who after years of neglect to his neck and spine issues and abuse to that area, died in the middle of the ring from a simple side suplex, cause his spine was so badly damage it couldnt take no more and the cord became seperated.... that would of been Edges fate if he didnt find out when he did.
Edge you accomplished alot in the Wrestling bussiness. so now its time to sit home get healthy and Enjoy the money you earned, the memories you made and all you accomplishments in your Hall of Fame career.
You may have not going out on your terms but you went out the best way possible, the only man to ever Retire with the World title. You cant ask for a better way to go

IGN.com has a pretty good article on Edge's retirement
http://tv.ign.com/articles/116/1160684p1.html
A quote:
I'll tell you who's spoiled us rotten in all of this - Kurt Angle. As the last dude standing, who should have retired years back for the same reasons Edge is retiring now, he just keeps on, stupidly (?), pushing through. He's miserable and loses feeling in all of his appendages on an hourly basis. He can't yawn without screaming in agony and often hallucinates about talking appliances. But he'll moonsault off the St. Louis Arch in front of 350 people. And so we've got Angle who will probably die in the ring and Ric Flair who's basically promised us he'll die in the ring. Either in the ring or f***ing a Clydesdale. One or the other.

Very sad news indeed. I'm more saddened by guys that retire who have let their ring work do the most of the talking. Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, all these guys built careers and carved out their legacy with their ring work. Edge fits in with names like those mentioned above, and I think that's the best compliment that I can give Edge about his 13 year run with the WWE.
I'm glad that he's got his head on straight and and that he's retiring while he still has his health. Sad news but great news that he didn't find out the hard way later on down the road.
You'll be sorely missed Edge.

Edge is not medically cleared to wrestle ever, its actually illeagle for Edge to wrestle, Kurt Angle is able to wrestle.
Edge Wrestling is a much bigger risk of dying or being crippled.... im might be mistaken but from what i read Edge is not medically cleared to wrestle and will never be. Unlike Kurt who is medically cleared to wrestle.

How did Edge break his neck? I know it happened like 8 years ago but what happend? Just curious?
Growing up Edge was my favorite. I remember how I went completely NUTS when he cashed in MITB to beat Cena for his first title. I mean I went crazy. Big time. I almost cried last night. I mean that guy was like so big to me. With him leaving my childhood is officially dead. :( Thank You Edge! for everything. Yes i know christan is on his own level, but i was meaning that if christan could just get a lil bit of edge's success in the wwe then he will surely be a main eventer, but i wonder if he is gonna get a big push now? im not talking about get the whc and keep it for a month or 2 and maybe fight for the belt every now and then but still lose, i mean multiple reins and be at the top level for years, me personally i don't think it will happen, but i could see him champ till the draft or something. i do hope im wrong tho!

Edge was pushing to have Christian as a main eventer. Vinnie never took Edge seriously on that but I guess now Vinnie probably has no choice but to accept Christian as a main event. Though that is my guess.
Knowing Edge and Christian's friendship, Edge wouldn't mind sharing success to Christian.

So I was thinking that before Edge's Retirement that at Extreme Rules, ADR was going to start his WHC title run. But Now, I'm almost certain we're going to see Christian win it with a Spear, kinda like how Rey Mysterio used Eddie Guerrero's Frog-Splash for a while. Thoughts?
