The Kentucky Derby and Triple Crown

The Kentucky Derby is next weekend May 6th and 7th....
Looking at the Derby site it already busy with parades and parties and such....
So lets discuss anything about the race, the horses, owners, celebrities, fashion, the money wager on the event and etc....

I haven't decided if were going to the Derby this year. I've been to so many they are a lot of fun. Its always the largest crowd I've ever seen, over 150,000 people. Its elbow to asshole everywhere you go and if you don't get there early you wont even see the track. Its that packed. Louisville is a pretty special place. They call it Derby day but its basically a week long party. Every time we drive down to Churchhill downs waiting in traffic to get in, people are on there lawns selling beers to the people in their cars. Yes we were drinking and driving (allegedly) So many f'n big hats everywhere. D list celebrities are in the crowd, the big shots are up in the suites. If you can go you must have at least one mint julep- mint leaf, bourbon whiskey, sugar and water. Its not my favorite but its tradition. Its a great time and if you go save yourself the hassle and learn to say Louisville correctly. If you don't they will remind you.

o wow iv'e been to that DQ! lol anyways as a Kentucky native the Kentucky Derby is huge here and i go about every year it is pretty nice their and yes ipee mint julep it's pretty good im not a fan of mint but i don't mind that drink at all for some reason.

With Animal Kingdom winning the Derby last weekend can he go on and win the Triple Crown with the Preakness in less then 2 weeks the Belmont in 3 weeks????

Thats right folks you heard it here first. The winner of the Preakness is going to be Mucho Macho Man at 6-1. Yes I'm sentimental. Dont bet your house on him but he should do just fine.

My trifecta is Mucho Macho Man/Midnight interlude/Dialed in

Sadly no triple crown winner this year, sorry Animal Kingdom.
