So it was reported on this site that Zack Ryder defended his Internet title at a WWE live event, he was announced as the champion. Thoughts?

PS. If this guy makes it on Raw this would a great story someday. When Zack first started his new gimmick I didn't like the guy but slowly I have grown to be a huge part of the Zack Pack lol. But seriously this guys screams AWESOMENESS. I think this can be the first step to Ryder getting more TV time.

1 last ting guys take care and spike your hair, WOO WOO WOO YOU KNOW IT, I'm jus sayin...

Well, it's a nice thing for house shows, so why not? I hope Ryder does get some matches on TV tapings in the future though. According to the reports he got a decent pop so my fingers are crossed.

I think it is a very good thing, could develop into an interesting storyline, and gives wwe media attention in the internet, i hope he has a feud with the title involved with kingston or sin cara

I think using the Internet title at house shows (and dark matches, as I think he's come out with it at least in one dark match) is a way of testing the waters. If the crowd react good to it, it's possible we'll see the title on tv, be it on RAW, or more likely (to start off with), on Superstars.

You may have seen that the WWE have started using Zack Ryder's Internet Championship at Live Events, but the way I see it is that Zack Ryder can NEVER lose that title... It's his! It wouldn't exist without him! WWE should leave Zack with his title and retire him with it, just my opinion though.

I'm surprised it took this long for a thread to be made about it. Honestly I don't this getting him on Raw, it should be a title defended on internet shows, and only won and lost on those and house shows, it could create interest in house shows and Superstars, I am all for it if it means what I said, otherwise getting Ryder on Raw is of the utmost priority.

Rember the FTW belt taz had and sabu really wanted it and when he did win it he put some tape over the taz nameplate and wrote SABU lol.
That or the crash holly 24/7 gimmic could be a fun to relive.

24/7 would only be fun with the Hardcore belt, but damn would that be fun again, and it would be a good way of getting everyone on the roster air time. Backstage segment and BOOM Darren Young is new Hardcore champ, see how believable that sounds?

So heres what i got on my mind. Everyone seems to have a hard on for this Zack Ryder fell'er. He seems to have a great following on the internet and the fans seem to want to support him. I think the 'E needs to realize this. They need to realize that social media can play a huge part into their standard business practice. Facebook, twitter, youTube, ect.. They are all routes that WWE stars can use to get over with the fans. And they are using it - to some extent.

Now i think the 'E needs to take this to a whole new level.. Apperantly Zack Ryder has been crowend the new 'Internet Champion". I think the 'E needs to roll with this and create a real 'internet championship' and put it on there show.

One would be crowned the internet champion by having the best following within the social media market. It would be defended in standard wrestling matches against the next top contender.

Doing this would create an entire new division that has never been seen before in wrestling. It would be new, fresh, and entertaining. It would allow the fans to be even more interactive with the product. Basically its a win-win situation for the 'E and the fans. And your current internet champion is no other than your buddy Zack Ryder.

What do y'all think about that!!

Lol, really? The future of wrestling? I think everybody takes it too serious, a new division? What Ryder did with his internet championship is nice, but it's the same as the million dollar championship. It could create a storyline or 2, but I wouldn't expect great things from it.

could turn into a belt for the lightweights

really doubt it'll start a whole new division if anything the belt seems more like a gimmick, I imagine wwe will get rid of it if Zack ever gets a push to the united states belt

Didn't know he had an internet title. Surprised WWE approved it or allowed it.

Ok. I'm sure at one point ryder was fading into obsurity (before he had really surfaced might I add) but the wwe ARE taking notice now. He's in all their little web promo things on the wwe website. Just see the current 'transformers' themed game. He has now been given a new title that he's already started defending at house shows.

Now not only is this an exciting development to his character, but the wwe have introduced a new title concept which is relevent to this particular period in wrestling only!

Get this for an idea, the wwe are highly aware of the inernet community and zack ryder is being pushed directly for that base audience. He also has mass appeal to the kids. So I wonder, if he does start appearing on raw will you guys reject him when the kids start cheering his name and buying his tshirts?

ryder going around and defending a useless piece of material doesnt do anything for his career. but its worth a laugh though.

It's a nice thing to do at house shows. Otherwise: Meh. I'd rather have the Cruiserweight title back.
