I'm doing this topic just to see where everyone is when it comes to this feud. Simple question. Are you still interested in the feud between Christian and Randy Orton?

Personally, I am. Well barely. I'm slowly starting to bridge over the "end this damn feud" line, but I'm starting to get very annoyed at Randy Orton dominating Christian throughout the feud. I understand he is the golden boy, but does he always have to come out on top? it is very hard to for me to get behind a guy that is ALWAYS coming out on top. Christian has gotten barely anything out of this feud. He lost to him three times. Yes, he lost in a controversial way on the third time, but that was also the same time Orton had a concussion. The feud feels WAY too one sided and it is making it very uninteresting.

On top of that, this feud seems ass backwards. They're trying to have Christian overcome the obstacle that is Randy Orton, but he is the heel? Shouldn't it be the other way around? I mean, if you're going to book it like this, then you might as well have kept Christian a Face and turned Randy Orton heel. He is the underdog in this feud and, under any circumstance, fans usually feel the need to get behind the underdog more. In a typical feud, the HEEL is supposed to put over the babyface. I wouldn't be so upset about this if Christian was made to look a lot stronger and Orton wasn't dominating most of the feud. At this point, this is turning out to be exactly how the feud between him and CM Punk went. All Orton, barely no CM Punk.

If Orton wins at MITB, they might as well end the feud there. Christian could win the title at Summerslam and it wouldn't matter. Yeah, he would have the title, but he got it after losing four times in a row to Orton. They can always turn it around by having Christian beat Orton and then beat him again at Summerslam, I suppose.

Idk. Maybe I am overreacting. However, I am a huge fan of Christian and I really do not like the fact that he is look pretty damn weak right now. What are your thoughts?

IMO, they need to spice things up with a better match stipulation or maybe bring Edge in as a special guest referee or something.

Hopefully it ends with Christian winning the title. Highly unlikely, but it doesn't seem like they are going to male him lose so many times in a row and not win in the end.

Look I for one am over this feud why cause Christian shouldn't never have turned heel it just doesn't go with him now I'm not saying he can't be a heel cause he could it's just the timing of him turning heel u know he turned when he's best friend Edge retired and vacated the championship, I think Christian should've staid with the championship staid a face and have a feud with a very good heel in Henry cause Orton doesn't deserve to be a heel at this time but dis feud sucks it's stale they shouldn't have done dis yes they had a great match together at the ppv but since then it sucks they need to do something with the storyline fast because it sucks now with super orton kicking a veteran who changed tag team wrestling in wwe hell around the world, who went to make a name for himself in singles competition to be world champion, who's career has been incredible in Christian but dats wwe

The editors really had to go heavy on the canned booing for this week's Smackdown on account of fans not knowing quite what to do with Christian's heel turn.

Yeah, Smackdown has been pretty heavy on the fake crowd responses since the draft. Frankly I have no idea who is over with the crowd on that show. My guess is very few since the rating have also been in the tank since then. The only positive of the show is the awesome midcard matches mostly featuring Bryan, Cody and Sin Cara.

I'm enjoying this fued. These two guys bring everything to the table and nothings off limits in their matches. Their main event have made me enjoy PPV quality matches again. They've even produced a Match of the Year (if not, well its a candidate to that category). It's been good to see Randy take on the babyface roll and seeing how far it will go even though we've seen him struggle with it and I'm happy to see Christian finally turn heel (about time too) and seeing how he goes with that. I'm happy to see Sheamus get involved every now and then and hope he eventually gets a three way match with them at SummerSlam with Christian pulling out te big win since Extreme Rules.

Great way to celebrate the a second title reign at one of the big 4 ppvs of the year. But at the moment, I have a hard time seeing that as Randy is the champion and at the end of the day in the WWE corporate offices, he's more of a moneymake than Christian is, brother!

Christian dominate Orton on weekly SD shows,Orton gets the W on ppv which in my opinion fair trade for both wrestlers but Orton come out as the hero or strong whatever. And I think this feud will stretch far atleast to Summerslam or Hell in the Cell ppv,as long as Christian is in Smackdown top storyline I'm fine by it.

Yes I'm still interested with Christian/Orton feud.

Randy Orton vs. Christian is one of the biggest fueds of the year and they can produced a good quality PPV match (like Macho Libre said), something I haven't seen in a long time. It's good to see the roll reversals with Orton (babyface) & Christian (heel) otherwise it'd be too predictable then.

But like Macho Libre said above, Orton makes more money than Christian yet they can still make Christian look like a contender for the title even if Christian has been on the short end of the stick in their matches.

IMO The maches are on point its the build up that is lacking. Its like i get why Christan is feuding with Randy but who cares its nothing that is pulling me in with this feud besides the matches. The whole i can beat you Randy is pretty Stale the feud would of been better if it was something deeper than that. I for one cant wait til its over

Dude, the guy was expressing his opinion on the topic, albiet in a rather uneloquent way.

You "insulted" him. Who's post was more offensive?

There was no logic to his "opinion" therefore he insulted the topic.

How can a person not be interested in a feud that brings the best match of the PPV it is in?

Each time Chistian and Orton faced each other they stole the show...

So yes, I'm interested in this feud and I truly hope Christian wins it at the end because he deserves it way more than Orton.

At MITB maybe the Cena vs Punk match will steal the show for the emotions that are in it.

But as for pure wrestling I'm betting my money on the Smackdown main event

Perhaps he thought there was enough "logic" on the subject already. Whatever the case, there is no need to have a go at him, and to tell the truth it's not the first offensive post of yours I've read.... I'm kinda hoping it's the last :)

I love Christian's heel. He's like..the whiny, innocent type of guy, but yet still aggressive and heel-like. It's really hard to describe how he does it, but I think he actually makes a better heel than a face.

IMO they should have given the fued a short break by putting christian in MITB instead have him win then cash it in on orton at summerslam (in advance like RVD did to cena) then have that be the last match

i am interested but its gone on a little while now and theres the punk cena angle which kinda distracts from it in my opinion im expecting a great match in both title matches and its been a while since i could say that just christian orton kinda slips under the radar because of the punk cena match and the two money in the bank matches

Im over it although the matches are good. Christian is going to need a tomko like character to help him win at this point due to him(christian) looking so weak. Maybe sheamus or even bring back gallows as a henchman.

Christian vs. Randy Orton has produced far better matches than anything Juan Cena has put on PPV this year

Im enjoying this rivalry, Orton has been on fire this year and Christian is finally main eventing PPVs. However I hope this is their last match at MITB, unless they have 1 last gimmick match at Summerslam.

I'm not feeling the fued anymore. Christian been looking week in every match. What is the payoff, unless Christian wins the belt, what is the point of this fued. Golden boy or not, Christian should not be struggling to beat Orton, he been in the business 17 years, now they are making him look like a rookie.

Put it to you like this. If you're one of those fans who just want a GOOD QUALITY main event match at PPVs, then this feud is for you. That is a strong positive in this feud.

Yeah, Smackdown has been pretty heavy on the fake crowd responses since the draft. Frankly I have no idea who is over with the crowd on that show.
Friday's show was especially brutal with the audience track. I mean, over half of the crowd responses seemed to be canned. And if that truly was the case, WWE should seriously consider making some in-show adjustments instead of forging ahead with all of this post-production hokum.

If your audience is important enough to warrant an entire initiative of branding them as your universe, it seems more than just a little disingenuous to silence their true voice.

My guess is very few since the rating have also been in the tank since then. The only positive of the show is the awesome midcard matches mostly featuring Bryan, Cody and Sin Cara.
I don't think the ratings are really quite that bad, but I'll happily agree that the show's mid-card talent have been its saving grace as of late. Now if they could just get that IC belt off of Big Zeke, I think they finally have a quality pool of guys who could genuinely do wonders for restoring some of that championship's once brilliant luster.

Ha naw i'm kidding, i'm still interested, but maybe they could switch it up a bit, do something different. Instead of singles matches all the time maybe a tag match at a PPV or Fatal 4 way

Yeah, i'm still interested but something different needs to happen, something drastic like Edge helping Christian winning the WHC at MITB though I doubt that will happen. I like how they are throwing Sheamus into the feud to spice up the feud. I feel that its great to have Sheamus fighting for the WHC as well to make the title meaningful.

This, also would love Edge being special guest referee or something. Because otherwise, this feud is starting to overstay its welcome and the plummeting ratings are proof to it.

Completely agree. Christian has always had the ability to do this, the whiny little heel, who has that fire and aggression, which makes him dangerous and a threat. Remember his first heel run?

I honestly started to lose interest in this fued when they made Christian lose both his re-matches for the World title. I think they should defenitly give Christian the belt in near future and let him hold onto to it for atleast a month or two..Orton for 1 doesnt even need the belt and tbh he has been one of the most boring champions ever as a face and the same goes for Cena!

Viper

what you just said is reason enough for orton to step up his game which he did at Over the Limit which is why by doing that he deserved to be champion.

Tay Moran
07-12-2011, 08:26 PM
If Christian wins who besides Orton would he even defend it against? Ortons the only major face on smackdown, at least if Orton holds onto the belt he can defend against Sheamus or Barrett.

johnnydropkicks
07-13-2011, 04:38 AM
the only way Christian will get the title is if they use it to change Orton or refresh him somehow do something big to his persona. Otherwise with the rating going down they won't risk making Christian the champion. Unless they take the championship away quickly. but if that happens he isn't going to feud anymore and then it looksl ike Sheamus will feud with Orton. dunno who Christian will feud with.
