View Full Version : The Hart Dynasty - Over Already?

So, in it's infinite wisdom (U MAD???) WWE has planted a seed of dissention in the ranks of the Hart Dynasty. Why else would they stage the 'argument' after their loss to Rhodes & McIntyre on Raw?
Really? Why does WWE do this? I have a 3 year old with a longer attention span than WWE seems to have - it's like, ok that didn't work, we're bored now, do something 'radical'.
My take is that they are just so keen to push DH Smith as a singles star, their new 'British (Canadian) Bulldog' that they are willing to break this gimmick up. Give it time for crying out loud! Having Natalya win her way into number one contendership also doesn't bode well for the team. And unless they bring back a light heavyweight belt, I don't like Tyson Kidd's chances.
So instead of properly utilising the most viable and actual tag team they have, they choose to dilute an already crowded singles roster by breaking them up? Yeah, real smart WWE. The state of the singles scene is the reason they paired up Rhodes & McIntyre in the first place! *smh*

While they really haven't got over like I thought they would they are still the only real tag team in the WWE. It's hard to believe there was once a day where great tag teams roamed the earth and each fed had a bunch of them.

Let me reply by throwing a curveball of bullsh*t right back at you. While I'm sure that impressing you was high on their agenda, it's really WWE that is dropping the ball with these guys. Yeah I know, big surprise! They really have done bugger all to push them outside of giving them the titles.
Kid_Gangsta - they haven't yet broken up but they if you watch Raw you will see their post match argument. Looks headed that way at least

Please allow me to give my infinite wisdom on this matter. I'm glad im fast enough to dodge that curveball, if it would have hit me i would've been pissed. If tyson Kid gets rid of that patch of hair on his head, i might take him seriously until then the only thing he should be worried about is saying paper or plastic sir. As for the other jabronie he should be thankfull he has a car because it's not fun to get rained on when you sleep. HAHAHAHA U MAD???

Come on, that hairstyle was in fashion....sometime.....for about 5 minutes. I still say it's better than any Jersey Shore Oompa Loompa hairdo.
Also IPITS, I thought your mom did the shopping in your house? Didn't she say she'd let you do it only after you got your drivers license?

Please allow me to give my infinite wisdom on this matter. I would like to thank you Robstar for bringing up my mom. I haven't called her in awhile and I'm sure she would be happy to hear from me. I would like to clarify a few things if i may. I'm 31 years old, i have 2 mortgages and 2 cars which are less than 2 years old. I have a wonderful dog named twiggy and my girlfriend (yes i do have have one) is the most beautiful person in the world. Even with my all my mental flaws I'm doing pretty damn good for myself. So you saying my mother does my shopping has no merit and quite frankly i expected more out of you than than BS rob. U MAD???

It is sad to see good teams break up, but look at all the great singles guys who came out of teams. Edge, Christian, Morrison, Hardys, Orton came out of Evolution. All those guys had great teams to start their careers, the original Hart Dynasty got pushed, these guys will probably get pushed. Its not like they were going to be big in a dead division.

If WWE was planning to restart the Light-Heavyweight division, I do see Tyson go at it for the Light-Heavyweight belt.
D.H. Smith for the midcard titles.

Only once actually. April 2010 was the first and only time they ever split. They were 100% tight the whole time until that point.

They dropped the Light-Heavyweight in favor of the Cruiserweight. Then they dropped that, so not a chance of that happening. Probably just have Tyson, compete for the midcards as well.

Remember.....the Hart Dynasty was an uninterrupted team for over a year. The unit spent their first few months ECW, then sent to SMACKDOWN as an entire unit, then drafted to RAW as a unit after winning tag team title. Yeah they spent just 5 or 6 months as "fan favorites" but a team still can't go on and on like the Dudleys/Team 3D. Personally, steady tag teams like that, that last too long, bore me. They probably bore Vince nowadays too. Miz & Morrison was strictly a tag team for too long. Cryme Tyme spent way too much time as strictly tag team. Vince might get bored as well. Eventually one or both members of a certain team has to try it alone. Just time for changes.

If they split I don't like their chances. Kidd is the better wrestler of the two but his size relegates him to Evan Bourne status without the spectacular finisher. Although I could possibly see a Bourne/Kidd underdog push similar to what London/Kendrick got and I think that could get over. If not, he'll be a regular filler on Superstars. As for Smith, they have already tried on a couple of ocassions to get him over as a singles wrestler and failed and I don't see it happening now. He's supposed to be the powerhouse son of the British Bulldog but compared to the top guys he's just not big enough or strong enough to get over. And his wrestling skills are too weak to fall back on. I like the guy but if anything he'll be Mark Henry light used to put other guys over.
What's sad is I think they make an solid entertaining duo together and the storyline of the Hart legacies vs the Rikishi and Snuka legacies has a TON of potential and I was looking forward to that. But it looks like that is gettuing killed already.

They're not gonna split up. They're careers were going nowhere when they were singles wrestlers. They need eachother, they have a solid gimmick being sibling deciples of the Hart family. Stick with what's getting you over.

It might be possible of that certain division may come back because of smaller guys are coming in to the business.
Bourne, Mysterio, Bryan, Kaval, Kidd, Kingston, Punk etc They aren't heavywieghts.

The main problem with Tag-teams in WWE is Vince McMahon - he doesn't like them because they only shift half the merchandise they could do if the two guys were singles competitors... The sad fact of the matter is that Tag-team wrestling in WWE is all but dead.
As for the Harts? Tyson Kid is probably THE single most all-round talented wrestler on WWEs books, he could put on some really fantastic matches with the likes of Bourne, Danielson, Punk, Mysterio etc, unfortunately due to his size he'll only ever get the mini pushes that the likes of Evan Bourne has had in the past.
Other than his name Smith isn't worth anything to anyone, the guy doesn't seem to have progressed any since he dropped Christian on his head on the ring apron....

As you ladies bicker, I'll just address the thread. Are Hart Dynasty the greatest team ever??? No. Do I enjoy the pleasure-patch of hair on Tyson Kidd's head??? No. Do I think D.H. Smith will be a pretty decent singles' wrestler??? Sure. But for what it's worth Hart Dynasty are the best tag team in WWE right now, and the most over with the crowd. Why debut The Usos, slowly push The Dudebusters, create Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre, just to take apart the team that helped spark the slight resurgence of the tag team division in the first place??? Another genius move my WWE management. I really wish they would take all this fledgling mid-card talent on their roster and upgrade the tag team division. 6-8 teams with cohesive looks & team names can go a long way. Just look at how TNA made teams like Beer Money, Motor City Machine Guns, Generation Me, Ink Inc., etc. Fans will always love tag team wrestling, I just wish WWE cared the way we do.

If those types of guys come in, wouldn't be better to restart the cruiserweight division?

Its obvious that in WWE's attempt to stregthen their tag team division, they are burying the only real tag teams they have. For example: The Hart Dynasty and The Usos. I really hope to see the WWE use members of the Nexus to form tag teams.

Well if they did bring it back then Hornswaggle was the last champ so the belt would be on him. Hes the one that killed it in the first place so it would be instantly dead right from the start.

I don't think it should really matter. WWE was rarely using them anyways an almost every tag team that came in to the WWE broke up shortly after. That is why I forbid myself from jumping behind a tag team an cheer them on. If I see a tag team go for a couple of years then I will be there cheering them on at that exact moment in time. IMO the whole team break up storyline only worked on me once, and that was when E&C, and many MANY others that came before them broke up. I mean if they are going to break-up a classic stable then the least they could have done would be to give it a proper build up instead of Davey Smith walking away like he is going through the moodyness half of a pregnancy.
