So I haven't seen any thread that sums up everything that happened in this PPV. Just little parts.
So rate this PPV however you see fit and tell EWN what your fav part of the night was.
My personal highlights:
- A decent divas match (By diva match standards, I wasn't expecting a lot so this was decent filler)
- Daniel Bryan winning - Never saw that coming, well happy :)
- Del Rio winning - Sloppy match but I enjoyed this, plus his win helps me in the PPV prediction contest
- Punk vs. Cena ending - Great ending to a good match, didn't expect that and really cannot wait to see what happens tomorrow.
- Best of all: MARK HENRY WON!!!! ...Okay 4/5 is good enough :D

I was so shocked with DB winning the Smackdown! MitB, could have swore Cody was going to win. Mark Henry surprise the crap out of me and he won at a PPV. Awesome. Diva's match was my poop break. And surprisingly the Cena v. CM Punk match exceeded my expectations. Cena did a great job and Punk did a great job. Great PPV. Good matches and wonderful buildup. 4/5.

I'm going to have to give it a solid...9.5/10. Honestly. This is the best PPV I have seen in YEARS. The MITB matches, and the tittle matches were all awesome matches.
SD MITB 5/5 Really, it was long and good. So many spots, plus....DANIEL BRYAN WON IT. BRAVO.
Raw Mitb 3.5/5 Not the best, but the right person won. Del Rio should of won and did. Plus that sick Air Bourne of the ladder HOLY SHIT.
World Title Match 4/5 GREAT MATCH, maybe even better than the OTL match they had, but it was for sure better than that shitty match they had at Capitol Punishment...and oh...THANK GOD. Christian finally won.
WWE Tittle Match 5/5 When was the last time you've seen a match go over 30 mins? This has to be a match of the year canidate for sure. The story it told, great moves by BOTH men...thats saying something when Cena is in the match. The CROWD made it even better...and the outcome...GENIUS. Loved the way they Teased Del Rio and Punk just kicked his head off. EPIC. This PPV had to make the IWC JIZZ! Bryan, Christian, AND CM FUCKIN' PUNK. For the first time in ages, I cannot wait for RAW.

Bryan winning MITB was a good suprise but I have a feeling he will lose the breifcase
Henry vs Show was okay
ADR should not have won MITB because he sucks
Kelly vs Brie was like it always is
Christian winning was great and brings alot of intrige into SD
Cena vs Punk was booked very well and sounded like a good match
I would say it was the best WWE PPV of the year

I give it a 9.0 at best overall it was a great PPV
Pros. Cena gave all the IWC and fans who always say he cant wrestle a big fuck you by going into tonight's match and putting on a good match and doing a bunch of moves. the WHC match ending was so epic real different i enjoyed it. The Smackdown MITB threw me off i thought Cody had it for sure but hey Bryan wining is something different and i like it. the raw MITB match i was kinda disappointed with the ending only cause i was hoping for a guy like kofi or truth or even alex to win it cause guys like miz and ADR will be in the title picture anyways but the other guys this is the only chance. Overall again good PPV just some things that went down i disagree with but i will accept.

IMO I think it is the best WWE PPV of this year and in a long time. It just was one those PPV that were unexpected like Smackdown's MITB Ladder Match every one thought Shamus or Wade Barret would get the briefcase but seeing Daniel Bryan win the match was unexpected as a fan of his since ROH I was Pumped when I saw that.
Kelly Kelly vs The Bella Twins = WHO CARES
Big Show vs Mark Henry = WHO CARES at least there making Mark Henry dominate and bad ass again
Raw's MITB we saw some cool stuff but that fall The Miz took and hearing him scream like that I knew he must of popped something in his knee or ankle not a fan of his but hope he is alright, But we all knew Alberto Del Rio was gonna win but just seeing Rey Mysterio almost getting close I really thought he was gonna win it but good match.
Randy Orton vs Christian another good match they gave us another exciting match loved hearing Orton getting boooed but as soon he went Bushwacker on Christian people loved him again sorry but I don't like the new Robocop Randy Borton but it's good to see Christian win the title again.
Now Finally the match that everyone has been talking about for 3 weeks John Cena vs Cm Punk it was a great match and Cena proved that he's not a 5 moves of doom Now he's a 6 moves of doom you'll get a new move Cena fans every 9 years. The Excitement and Intensity of this match just had me like oh no no....oh yes yes the No's were for Cena and the Yes were for Cm Punk loved the crowd how they boooed John Cena and he looked like he was gonna cry like always but Cm Punk and John Cena did deliver a great match loved how the ending was Unexpected so can't wait for Monday Night Raw hoping we get another EXCITING SHOW.
So leave your thoughts did you think it was the Best WWE PPV this year and in along time??

I marked out big time for Bryan winning. I told my wife that I figured Cody would win (deservingly). VERY happy with with match.
Diva's match was good. Nothing noteworthy, but not bad.
I was surprised with Mark Henry winning. I'm not a huge fan of his but was happy with the match. Fairly short match but that made sense with both of the large men fighting.
Raw's MITB was disappointing IMO. The match was fine, but I knew Del Rio was going to win it. I think Del Rio is a fine wrestler, but I'm sick of him getting pushed so much. He wins the Royal Rumble, faces Edge at Wrestlemania, and now is guarenteed a title shot?!?!
Orton/Christian match was good. I felt it had nice pacing. I kept waiting for Randy to RKO. I had another mark out moment when Randy was DQ'ed. I've been a Christian fan for many, many years. Don't really like that he won it by Randy being DQ'ed but, oh well. I'm just glad he's the champion.
What can you say about Punk/Cena match. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole thing. I've been a Punk fan since his WWE debut. I wanted nothing more for him to win and leave the champion. I told my wife at the beginning of the match to watch for Vince to try and screw him over. I also told her to watch Del Rio to try and cash it in. Saw Vince come out and then Cena stop it, which helped keep Cena a noble guy. Punk hits the GTS for a 1..2...3. EXTREME MARK OUT!!!! I was so freaking happy. Then Vince calls for Del Rio. I look at my wife and say "Shit. Let's hope this is an unsuccessful attempt." Punk kicks Del Rio in the head, blows a kiss to Vince, and leaves. PERFECT!
That was definitely the BEST PPV I've seen in many years. It could very well be the best. 3 of my favorites won. The WWE didn't screw it up with some lame ending. DOES IT GET BETTER THAN THIS?!? Let's hope it can keep this up.

Smackdown MITB - 6/10 - Well worked, but ultimately bog-standard as far as eight man ladder matches go. Exciting finish though.
Divas: Brie Bella vs. Kelly Kelly - 2/10 - Not very good at all, even by women's wrestling standards. In fact, this was crap by anyone's standard.
Big Show vs. Mark Henry - 3/10 - Really good for what it was, to be honest.
Raw MITB - 5/10 - Same comments as for SD, only this was shorter with less awesome spots. Not to mention botchier.
WHC: Christian vs. Randy Orton - 6/10 - Great match. Could've been incredible with an extra five minutes or so. PERFECT finish. (I feel Bryan not cashing in here was a wise booking decision, but that's not for here)
WWE: CM Punk vs. John Cena - 10/10 - Not *really* a "five star match", but looking at the complete package, build-up and general bigger picture of this.... it's nothing short of pro wrestling magic.
Overall, about a 7/10 show.

Or even some things that was needed..... I say this was probably the best PPV of the year for WWE... followed by Royal Rumble then WM27....
I still would had booked Big Zeke in a match and had him squash Tyson Kidd or someone... just to put the IC champ over....
But of course that the WWE not caring to much about their secondary titles.....

His mic skills are boring and one dimensional. His wrestling ability is nothing special. His gimmick is unoriginal and stale. He's been shoved down the fans throats and overpushed.I also dont think he has connected with the fans enough to be a credible main eventer.I did not really care who won the match but personally thought it should have been someone who hasnt been give the endless oppurtunities he has.

I think overall, the PPV was one of the best that WWE has put on in years. It's hard to think of a recent PPV that has been consistently good all the way down the card
CM Punk was obviously amazing as was expected but even the haters have to admit that Cena performed very well too and played his part well. He worked his ass off and hit a couple moves that we've never seen him do. when's the last time Cena hit a gutwrench?
Overall this was great, I'm really happy that WWE didn't screw this up

I think he's a great talent, but kind of harder to push during this time. I do believe he IS overpush, and that his "Rich guy" gimmick was the excuse to suddenly have him in main event status. Opinions are a wonderful thing, and to each it's own, but I do disagree with you saying he's boring; yeah he needs a little work, but a push doesn't always signify a 100% preparation to stardom.

The fact he has a spainish accent has nothing to do with his promos being one dimensional.Eddie Guerrero had a similar accent and was one of the most versatile promo guys in the industry.ADR is not beleivable or versatile with his promos.
Like I said,His wrestling ability is nothing special. It's decent at best.
The ''Rich Guy'' gimmick has been done dozens of time in wrestling and he performs it in the least beleivable way I've seen.
The fact that he's an international talent has nothing to do with his mediocrity.

This PPV might be my Favorite Non-WrestleMania PPV of all time, I mean it's better then MANY WrestleMania's by itself, but only a few of them can stand with it IMO. It was also the best PPV overall in MANY Years.
The filler matches (Divas Championship and Henry/Big Show) were short and Henry show was better then I expected and should really help Henry get over a bit more.
The MITB matches were both awesome, the Raw one was better IMO, but the SD one had a more surprising winner, I mean Daniel Bryant who saw that coming?
The SD world title match was good, of course the ending was a DQ, but this DQ had Christian winning the title so it was like the best DQ ever lol!
Then their was the WWE Championship match we have all been waiting for, and now only did it deliver, it was one of the greatest matches ever, a turning point match, it was long grueling filling with huge move after huge move and huge moment after huge moment, it was why we love pro wrestling balled into a match, it was one for the ages. Cena brought out every Super Cena move in the book multiple times and CM Punk kicked out and got out of them all finally making Cena look mortal.
As wrestling fan what more could you ask? All those things people always talk about on here and everywhere, "Why don't they push Daniel Bryant?" Answered, "Why did they take the belt off a vet like Christian who has earned a run?" Answered, and of course "I hope they do the right thing with this CM Punk angle." Done, and done damn well so far.
This PPV has made me love wrestling more, and I can't remember the last time I could say that. Oh but what's my rating? Do you even have to ask? 10 out of 10. 5 out of 5. 100% out of 100%. It kicked ass period.
Now when can I get my hands on that new CM Punk T-Shirt?

just to add in perceptive detail.
smackdowns mitb ladder match was amazing, it was well worked and told an amazing story for daniel bryan, he took some of the hardest fall and spots in the match and won. wade barret kane and sheamus really threw their weight around aswell, cody rhodes was dame near indestructible still playing to that deranged character, that match ot of 10... 8.9/10 fantastic match and explosive and well executed flow and not as cluttered and over produced. but i will get to that in a sec
mark henry vs big show was pretty damn good, i appreciate what the 2 big men can orchestrate within the ring, basss ... so i except for what it was and is , good match i wish could have carried on a bit but it just would have showed how abrupt henry can put big show away. i am veeerrry happy he got the win, i think he could be a great world champion and worlds strongest , he could generate alot of media if used correctly out of 10 .......7.8/10
the right divas are not getting their pushes they deserve what so ever, where is gail , where is beth and where is natie, kelly is getting better but cmon , alicia is actually getting alot better even divas match tonight was a disgut
the raw ladder match was extremely pver produced, predictable, busy , botch fantasy, the match was all over the place that had crazy botches , there were some moments o wow , ok without bourn and kofi what was there, miz was in half the match the way alberto won was a bit trashy , removing reys mask and then it be absolved by a nasty tumble down ladders, alberto didnt do much to impress me, too many ladders in the ring at once just a hot sad mess,, rating 4.6/10
cm punk vs cena
what can i say
the better won

Smackdown MITB - Awesome IMO. Went 25 good minutes with a surprise win for DB. I marked out on that! Would've easily stole the show if not for Punk vs. Cena.
Divas Title - Best televised Divas match in a good while IMO
Henry vs. Show - Used this time to check my facebook. Just didn't interest me
RAW MITB - A disappointment for me really. Predictable & 15ish minutes. I found the start dumb. Wish A-Ry would've went crazy in it win or not. Not a fan of ADR at all. Still interesting enough though
WHC - Good match but the end was too predictable. Still solid though! LOL on the table not breaking.
WWE Title - Perfect IMO, 'nuff said.
Overall - Glad I spent the money & have DVR

Awesome ppv, 9.5/10
sd mitb match was great full of spots, sin cara getn powerbombed by sheamus through the ladder to get him out of it. actually didnt have a clue who was gonna win that one cause every1 of em made a great match where i didnt know who was gonna pull it off. then Daniel bryan won aesoe.
raw mitb not as good, knew kofi woudnt win or bourne but were in it for great spots, enjoyed the out of shape mysterio getting boo'd and the crowd boo'in anyone they didnt want to win it. ADR most credible fo a push apart from r-truth.
orton-christian i knew christian would win cause they wouldnt make him lose 3 in a row and bury him and end the fued, but i though the finish was lazy a low blow, and i thought that it would be more impressive if orton put christian through the anounce table rather than on it, maybe he was tryin to and failed, shows the different level of quality when you compare it to the main event
cena-punk simply awesome just had me on the edge of my seat no idea who was going to come out on top, the vince lauranitis factor, del rio involved, the kiss goodye to vince
however apart from the mai event im most pleased with the crowd that was f'n awesome just a great atmosphere that really added to the entire ppv, involved from start to finish and creating great pops adding to the spectacle

What the hell are you guys talking about?!?!?! This is the WORST PPV EVAR!!!! Cena was in the main event, thus its an epic fail. There was no Pepsi Plunge. There was no wardrobe malfunctions in the Divas match. Mark Henry actually appeared in the PPV. There was no Edge, so MITB is a waste....
Ok seriously, I'm so used to seeing someone diss the PPV, I figured I had to try...
However for my real opinion -- MITB was the best Non Wrestlemania PPV, Period. Top to Bottom, the weakest match was the Divas, and even then that was still a solid match given the talent. Best Non-WM PPV in WWE History.

WWE stepped it up last night, that was the best PPV they've put on in a very long time.
Fair enough they could have cut some matches out (Divas, Henry/Show) to maybe give the MITB a bit longer but overall I thought they did very, very well.
Smackdown MITB was great, full of good spots and was hella solid overall, however the fact DANIEL BRYAN actually won it made this brilliant, I majorly marked out when that happened. As much as I would have wanted him to win, I never really thought he would, expected Barret or Sheamus to get it, but the fact they gave it to Bryan is a huge sign that they believe in him and a future push may be in the offing. As long as he doesnt somehow lose the case to someone, which I am am slightly nervous about.
RAW MITB, less impressive, more standard, was fairly obvious ADR would win.
WHC match, should have had longer, but was great for what it was - Christian spitting in Orton's face and the reaction it got was genius.
And then we come to the main event....
Cena and Punk knocked it out the park. The crowd reaction was the most intense I've seen in a long long time, proper goosebumps when Punk came out to that ovation. The heat on Cena was the worst he's had since One Night Stand a few years back.
The match itself was great, probably around 8/10 in terms of purely wrestling, and thank the lord they gave them around 30minutes, first time in a long time. But when you add in the promos, the storyline and the general awesomeness of CM Punk, the match was a clear 10/10 MOTY candidate.
Also Punk kicking the face of Del Rio? Classic.
For sure the best WWE match this year, and in my book, for a few years, with probably only the Taker/HBK matches being in the same area.
Overall brilliant PPV, WWE have made me interested again.

Like I said,Its an opinion. In wrestling,You choose what entertains you and what dosen't just like any other SCRIPTED ENTERTAIMENT SHOW.If I think he is mediocre,I do.If you are entertained by a poorly played character with no compelling wrestling skills,Then thats fine. It's based on OPINION.
No its not that I am entertained by a poorly played character with no compelling wrestling skills, its your not entertained by a well played character with above par wrestling skills. (= But yeah its opinion.

it just blows my mind that if WWE is still able to deliver this kind of PPV's why not give our moneys worth with other PPV's? I know that MITB concept is good for entertaining matches but with better job on the storylines and some of that edginess brought back WWE could deliver atleast 4-5 good to great PPV's..but thats just my opinion.
Best PPV in recent memory, Divas match was DUD and Mark Henry and Big Show was just a typical big mans match. Ladder matches were great. SD! had some good spots like Cara bombed through the ladder and Barrett was just impressive. RAW had best spot of the night with Bourne doing Shooting Star Press off the ladder..liked Bourne, Kingston and Mysterio in this match. Orton vs Christian was good, DQ ending didnt hurt the match in my opinion, Orton going all sorts of crazy after the match was fun to see. Main event..wow what can I say. Punks entrance gave me chills and the t-shirt was just plain awesome! Couple of sloppy spots here and there but the match was great, best I have seen for a while. Great counter with the GTS to STFU. Nice ending with teasing Del Rio to cash on Punk and Punk escaping through the crowd. Can't wait MNR and how this all plays out.
Great PPV, solid card and nothing to complain about.

The only thing that I would have a real beef with is the finish of Orton-Christian; It made Christian look weak.

it didn't hurt the match in my opinion..the only problem for me is that the finish builds up the fued even further and we have seen quite a few matches already. maybe a gimmick match to end the fued is the way to go?

I was half expecting when I looked on Ewrestling to find many blogs praising the Money In The Bank PPV. Instead I find the same old nonsense from people who think they are smarter bookers than the people in charge and how they want the WWE to go back to a sleazy, smutty, bad taste product that was all the rage in ninety-nine. Well, let this dumb ol’ mark be the first to say, THAT WAS THE GREATEST PPV OF ALL TIMES!!! And I cannot stress that enough.
What makes it so remarkable is that to create the atmosphere which was just as electric as Tyson-Spinks, Ali-Foreman or any other big time prize fight, was that all it needed was CM Punk and a microphone. That deadly combination was enough to create not just “Match of the Year” but the greatest match of all time. And if legendary Chicago wrestling promoter Fred Kohler was alive I am sure he would agree.
It is one thing to build up a big fight, anyone can do that, even TNA, but it is another to deliver it and talk about deliver, UPS got nothing on CM Punk and John Cena. But going back to TNA for a second. Last week, Destination X, they promised to show the most dangerous match in professional wrestling, The Ultimate X match. Frankly, it was a big let down, and the main event of Styles-Daniels which was a good match fell short as absolutely nothing on the line. Last night WWE put on two of the most dangerous matches ever witnessed and a main event with everything on the line. TNA wrote some checks that bounced like Cena’s head off Punk’s knee and WWE wrote a check that proved “Money In The Bank” was a more than appropriate title.
The opening match, the “SmackDown Money In The Bank Ladder Match” was the better of the two ladder matches and I could even argue it was the greatest ladder match ever. Some of the spots were sickening. Whether it was Sin Cara getting power-bombed through a ladder by Sheamus, Daniel Bryan getting folded up like an accordion or Sheamus taking a bump on the ladder that looked almost lethal. But what set the this match apart from other ladder matches was the finish. Most finishes in ladder matches are an anti-climax. It is usually the wrong winner and I think to myself “Was that it?” and “I was expecting more”. This had the right winner and it was perfectly timed, with so much tension and suspense you would think Alfred Hitchcock booked it. You certainly got your money’s worth. I put this down to some of the guys involved, who are some of the best workers WWE has had since I can remember. Guy’s like Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Daniel Bryan, those guys don’t need to fly about like spot jockeys, they can get you off your seat with a kick. Now that’s how you work. This match was so good I won’t even mention the popcorn shot from Justin Gabriel, wait a minute, oops, I just did.
I’ll gloss over Brie Bella vs. Kelly Kelly, even though it was a good match. Because my hat has to go off to Big Show for doing his best to make Mark Henry look good and Mark Henry for making himself look incredible. I was not expecting a catch-as-can classic, but I was certainly in to it due to the amazing build up. Big Show getting smashed through cages and tables, sound guys getting launched into orbit and poor Drew McIntyre being in the wrong place at the wrong time made this an intriguing affair. With the outcome being Mark Henry becoming the biggest, baddest heel on the block.
On to the Orton-Christian match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Another fantastic match on this most loaded of loaded cards. It is one that Christian had to win and he did with the DQ. Classic Christian if I do say, with a very well worked story.
Now the “Raw Money In The Bank Ladder Match”. This was just brutal. Miz did a magic trick with a disappearing knee cap, Jack Swagger took a real nasty bump and the ladders crumpled and fell with Del Rio and Rey Rey on top of them. This match was unpredictable, unscripted chaos. The only thing I was sure of that Del Rio would win and he duly obliged.
It was now time for the main event. Probably one of the best promo videos and greatest introductions I have seen since Rock-Goldberg in 03’. I defy anyone who did not get goose bumps over CM Punk’s white hot reception or the ice cold one met with Cena. It was like the Cena-RVD match at ECW’s One Night Stand, except times by a million. You knew this was going to be an epic when the bell rang with forty-five minutes to go in the pay-per-view. That was confirmed by the mat based wrestling exchange that opened the match, these two were going to need some gas in the tank for later on. I would like to write so much about this match but my brain and the words in the English language could not possibly cover the magnitude of emotions that this contest put me through. And mark my words this was a contest. This was not sports entertainment, this was a sporting event, ably assisted by some excellent commentary which certainly painted the picture, told the story and connected the dots. In the past I’ve raised an eye brow when Michael Cole or J.R would big up a fight and sell it to death but Cole’s claim that this was, and I paraphrase, “The greatest match in WWE history” was no exaggeration and probably under sold it. The stiff shots would of made Killer Kowalski wince, the false finishes were reminiscent of Savage-Steamboat at 3‘, the submissions and submission counters were like HBK-Angle at 21‘, and when Punk kicked out of the numerous Attitude Adjustment’s it was like Rock-Austin at 17’, but the crowd responses though were like nothing else. Anyone who saw it saw history, never mind about the finish. But the finish itself left my jaw on the floor for at least five minutes after the broadcast. Anything could of happened. I was leaning towards someone cashing in “Money in the Bank”, like most. But when Vince McMahon and John La-La-Lar, er, Laryngitis? When Vince and Johnny Ace came down I thought the screw job was on the cards which would have been an awful ending to an amazing match. So Cena unlocking the STF and knocking out before Johnny Ace could get to the time keeper was about the hundrendth great thing that happened on the show, but the show was not over. A perfectly executed GTS and a three count later Punk is the WWE Champion. After I calmed down, I thought here we go, Money in the Bank time and Alberto Del Rio appeared at the request of Vince, but before he could cash it in, Punk was gone through the crowd of his adoring public and out of the arena with the WWE Championship. I’m getting chills just writing this.
Slap my backside and call me a mark, I didn’t ever think wrestling could be this good. This exceeds anything ever achieved in the times of Rock ‘n Wrestling, Attitude era or any other point in history. And all it took was CM Punk and a stick, if he told me Santa Claus was real I would probably believe him. But to quote Tazz, “What does this mean?” I’m guessing he will do a tour of New Japan and Ring Of Honor with the belt and I get a sneaking suspicion that they might do a slow burn for Wrestlemania 28. After all that was one of the reasons why he was angry with Cena that he was in the main event with Dwayne and the greatest wrestler in the world, CM Punk, was not. So if Punk comes back around the Rumble with the gold it could set up the "Match of the Year 2012" with The Undertaker. Although that’s just my imagination running away with me. To be honest I would hope they strike whilst the iron is hot. This angle is far too good to let it sit on the shelf for six months.
In closing, if you did not think last night was one of the best nights ever in the history of history and not just lived up to the hype, but blew the hype out of the water, you are not a wrestling fan. And that’s the bottom line ‘cause Jonny3:16 said so! And because CM Punk walked out of Chicago with the WWE Championship.
