anybody who says WWE 12 is the "best" wrestling game ever is seriously delusional.

The best wrestling game ever made is called " WWF No Mercy" and it came out for the N64, there hasn't been a wrestling game since then that is better. Now you can download texture packs with all the latest arenas and rosters for the game if you play it on a computer so it actually remains the best wrestling game until another one comes out and beats it. Game Informer, one of the most reliable gaming magazines, gave WWE 12 a 5.5/10 rating for a review.... which is very badof course we are always going to have people like you who want diffrent thing's in games and that's fine but personally I feel wwe 12 is better and I don't see why no mercy was better I would put hctp infront of it anyway and also that magazine must have a writer like you who want's diffrent thing's in the game to the maybe 20 other review's I read that gave it nothing worse than 7 and that was one review I saw two that had 10/10 (I have never played a game that's 10/10 as that would have have nothing wrong with it which every game has) I would give it 8 but if those online servers got fixed it would be nine for me

WWE 12 couldnt hold a candle to the N64 wrestling games, or even their spiritual successors Def Jam Vendetta and Def Jam Fight For NY.. But I'm not gonna hate on WWE 12.. I own the game, and I've enjoyed the majority of the game (even thought it still feels like an SVR game), so I won't say its the worst game ever, but its definitely nowhere near the best.. Also I have that same Game Informer (just came to my house today), and I even felt like they were a little harsh with the 5.5, I would say WWE 12 is easily a 7.5 or 8..

The list of bugs is massive, and I don't think there's a game out there with the same amount of bugs that this game carries. The CAW feature continues to be fucked with, and once again, they've downgraded this feature (which is probably the most important feature in the game) instead of improving it. The servers are still shit, and the only good thing from it, is Macho Man. They dropped the ball so bad, that a huge amount of the game followers have retuned their copies, and have already said they won't buy WWE 13 unless THQ develops a legends game with the same features. I don't know how long their contract is for, but I REALLY hope Vince realizes that he should look for another game developer, which were his intentions a year and a half ago. You can only repeat the same game so much, and the strong fan feedback definitely had a huge hit on the franchise reputation. There are petitions online to even sue THQ, and Cory Ledesma for false statements he made, attempting to hype the game by stating features that aren't even in the game. I most definitely will not continue to put up with their garbage, spending $60 on shit, unless they do this.

Upgrade CAW to its full potential

Allow users to customize EVERYTHING (fine withe if that requires online restrictions)

Allow users to upload any image they want (what? Is it gonna hurt your dlc sales??)

Release a beta so you can fix all your fuck ups before releasing the game.

Stop removing moves, and having fat interns at your office doing mocaps. You are making these superstars look half retarded during gameplay.

Typical Nintendo Fanboy response. WWF No Mercy was excellent but in terms of gamemodes, roster and the duration of the game, WWE 12 is ALOT better. Yes it has its bugs but they do seem to be fixing them with every update.

I still believe Smackdown 2 to be the best of the series to date but this game is excellent and has recieved an average review of 9/10 by most critics

If you like svr 2011 you will like wwe12 it's not the best game I ever played but it's pretty good especialy based on the other svr games the only one of them I can really rember(besides last years)is here comes the pain for some reason so it must of been good but it's definetly worth checking out.

To be honest though, what I remember from svr2011, the only difference I see is the rope animations???
It looks the same, animations are slightly better. A few more options maybe, universe is better?

the thing that annoyed me was that I couldnt make a custom roster. i had to have al least 15 superstars on a roster to run raw or smackdown. wasup with that? svr 2011 it was only two. the superstars also get better if they win so i have to choose between fighting super cena and orton or super r truth and yoshi tatsu. I thought i would be able to have a show with a whole custom roster but i guess not. Its a cool game though you should maybe wait until they drop the price. The physics are a bit weird and the wrestlers dont sell moves well they get up pretty quick. I can tell you how many high flying moves ive missed that i shouldve hit. but ive enjoyed playing it. The Create and Arena is cool. I would definitely play it over svr 2011 but i guess they hyped it up too much and got my hopes up high. I expected more but its a good game. I would say 7.5/10.

THAT HAPPENED TO ME!!! I didn't know it was gonna change anything, so I picked Derrick Bateman. I had to remake his entire moveset, entrance, name, nickname, etc.

Already done the Road to WrestleMania stories, can't see myself doing them again.
That's the deal with the unlockables. once i've done that now what?

Being the massive gamerscore whore that I am, I could go out and get all the achievements.
But once I tend to hit that magic 1000, I feel that then i'm done with the game.
I really don't want that to be the case with WWE '12 :( That's why i'm torn.

You could argue that I could work towards the championships in universe mode.
Already done it! The only title I haven't held so far is the Intercontinental.

I think in the end, i'm going to really get stuck into Universe, and play every match.
Not just sim everyone untill my CAW has a fight. Cos that's how i've been doing it so far.

I just mess about at first, try and destroy Cena in a 3 on 1 handicap, maybe a Royal Rumble or ECW rules. Then I'd do Universe & RTWM

Well, that answers my question about qualifier matches. The EC always frustrated me last year when one or two guys would come out of nowhere--like Ryder, who actually won the simulation.

Dunno how, but I struck up an alliance with Regal and Big Zeke. I also got involved in a major feud with Punk. Seriously, every match I was invovled in Punk would come out and try to fuck me over, of course I returned the favour ;)

Fast forward a year or two to one of the draft events. I got drafted to SmackDown. I thought with that I'd have a change of attitude and become a face. Funnily enough, in one random matchup I had, I had just won and Regal and Big Zeke came out and gave me a beatdown. On the following SmackDown i'm on the card in a 2 on 1 handicap macth against the pair of them.

Cut to the entrances, I come out clutching my stomach obviously not fit to compete. Then all of a sudden Cult of Personality hits, Punk comes out I shake his hand and he takes my place in the match!!

I marked the fuck out!! :D

Here is how it went down, I had Cena drop the title to my created wrestler (Azrael) then during his matches, I had Santino popping in to try and help cena, but failing (getting caught by the ref most of the time) then I had a match Santino vs Cena, and Santino won.

fast forward about 3 weeks, and Santino is coming down for a US title match against Ziggler, when out of nowhere Cena jumps the barricade and just laid Santino out. Since then he has been cheating, no-showing tag matches and jumping faces left and right

I have created a monster, a big, brightly colored monster.

I haven't played WWE 12 for a few days and then I played it today (just a bit of universe) and I loved it. I think this game won't get boring for a year if I don't play it for a few days every know and then :)

I really think they should have GM Mode, if they do that I can't see anyway other than adding more wrestlers/updating wrestlers that they can make it better.

Universe has all the best parts of the old GM mode anyway,basically you have full control over the entire thing if you want it, the only thing missing is that I can't find how to change out titles, for example having the attitude era WWF belt instead of the spinner belt as the top prize, and changing the diva's butterfly crap for the Women's championship. I can use all of the titles, and indeed can defend any of them, but the top 4 or 5 stay that way.

You do that on the calendar, go to whatever show you want. Then you can change up any title defended on that show. I have swapped out the IC for the classic version on smackdown, and also the womens title is defended there too! ;)

Yeah I know it is but I liked the way they set up GM Mode and pretty much everything about it. Universe is very good though. Do what Tomstaa said for the title change, I've changed the WWE title to the pre-spinner one hoping WWE does the same thing ;)

Something crazy just happened!

It was Big Show vs Mark Henry for WHC and Henry won after The Miz comes down and cashes in, the match starts and it's Henry vs Big Show again, Henry wins again then I unlock the achievement "Start as a pro" I got back to the Main Menu and it said Jacob Cass defeated Big Show. Then it was Punk v Del Rio v Miz and Henry came down to watch, after the match Nash and HBK came down and stared down Punk. On the main menu it says HBK turns his back on fans. Cool but a bit glitchy in there.

Yeah you have to remember that Power Trip only lasted two or three weeks after mania because of the Triple H injury.

Rey Mysterio didnt start with WWE until after the Alliance. I think Eddie was injured during this time or got injured early on.

Also Chavo was exclusive to heat. If i remember Tazz kept saying that Chavo was the one guy from the alliance that WWE would need to sign because he had an excellent future a head of him.

I know alot of people hated the invasion but that until Wrestlemania 20 was my favorite era of WWE.

Just playing Universe. I interefered in a Evan Bourne vs Del Rio much with CM Punk to make Del Rio lose in a David v Goliath like victory for Evan Bourne and when the match came on it was Del Rio vs Mason Ryan. I then accidently GTS'd Ryan and put Del Rio in the AV so the ref got up and DQ'd and then on the main menu it said CM Punk turns his back on fans and he turned heel. Strange, still great though, I love this game!

Ted Dibiase is getting a good push in my Universe so far, defeating Cody Rhodes to become the classic I.C Champion.

I'm pushing Tyson Kidd to the moon. Had him beat Randy Orton to move up the ranks for the World Heavyweight Title.

Brock Lesnar gave Jack Swagger an injury. It was a good feud starting off between them so I'm kinda pissed it ended with an injury. Now Brock looks to be taking on Zack Ryder for the U.S Title.

My Goldust/Cody Rhodes feud is so funny/confusion. They start by having a blood feud with each other, then allied with each other by taking on Heath Slater and Tyson Kidd, now Goldust and Cody Rhodes goes back to feuding with each other, having countless matches with Heath Slater and Tyson Kidd interfering in them.

Did they fix the rankings? I remember the World Title Rankings had an ENORMOUS gap between #6 and #5. Like, 15-20 matches gap, easily.

I always let Undashing Cody Rhodes keep it until hes main event level then it goes to who ever.

I actually tend to move all the guys who have held the WWE or WHC title for a long period of time to RAW and have Smackdown as my build up show.

Yeah it is a shame. I doubt they will do it but they didn't announce Nexus right away and then did them so you never now. They could make some good money off it aswell becuase it would easily be the best DLC.

story designer is the only thing that sucks in this game
and also some repetitive matches in universe
some repetitve cutscenes (not alot though)

also if you change a match it´s booked for next week
i thought editing meant you don´t want that match to happen

I've wondered that. I hate playing some matches but I don't like missing cut scenes :( They should change that!

not sure what the justification for it is, though I suspect that they figure if you are simulating it you just want to skip it, not actually care what happens and want to see which side the computer chooses to win, so why bother making you sit through a cut scene of a match that you were (seemingly) uninterested in.

you can choose to watch the match, simply by launching it and then hitting start instead of choosing which person to play as.

Coolest moment for me Daniel Bryan finally wins the title (I played as Bryan and beat Henry) And after The Miz (RAW) cashed in his MITB Smackdowns Champion but it was cool because of their rivalry (In the actual WWE) So Miz went to Smackdown and I put Christian on RAW.

Worst moment: Already posted it but I skipped a for I can't remember how long but Otunga become NO.1 for the WWE title :(

Story Designer is actually fun to do. Especially when you get bored of WWE Universe Mode but the glitches with not to many cutscenes hold them back as being better then WWE Universe Mode.

glitches i have found are superstar threadas color glitch
freezing with too many arenas
and sometimes the starting and ending path

That happens to me sometimes, try restarting your system, or just going back to the main menu then re-entering. That usually works for me

On xbox it's been like that since i got the game, have too keep going off it and loading it up.. some of the better CAW's i downloaded were,

there are some decent ones, some of them are shockers! but i look at the attire mostly because when your using them in game the face you will hardly see,

no they cant end mate, least i dont think ive had two injurys goldust and sabu, goldust was out for like 3 months, and sabu was like a month, every injury says recovery is hopeless!

I'd say she is more like Henry. Not very tall but big and powerful although it did take 2 finishers to put Vickie away and only 1 for each Bella ;)

i reseted my universe mode to evrything current like ñpunk wwe champ
daniel bryan world
and downloaded some caws to have the most accurate roster possible

first night on raw the crad was
the guerreros vs evan bourne and goldust which was surprising because neither chavo or eddie are on raw or smackdown and goldust isn´t an ally of bourne
bourne and goldy won after the match eddie and swagger went to the ring and attacked borune and goldust with a pipe

del rio vs ryder rydr won because big show attacked del rio before the match

mysterio vs nash of course nash won

cm punk vs bryan in a draft match jerry said the match was going to be technical because these two were independent wrestlers who worked the way to the top and it was going to be a match the internet was going to be excited about

Dude Game Informer did a horrible review of that game. Sit down and read that review. Basically they only review the story mode. I don't really have the game yet, but I'm probably getting it for Christmas and I've watched a lot of gameplay and to me it looks pretty solid compared to the last few additions.
