You just got served ;)

Now on to tonights action:

Barca v Milan was a great game, end to end stuff, great football.

This was the first time since Barca v Arsenal that I've seen Ibra play well against a good team, great performance from him, ripped puyol apart.
KP Boateng was great, Aquilani was great.

AC Milan showed what you can do to Barca's week defence if you get at them, no promises that you're gonna win unless you can stop Messi and co aswell/

yeh man deffo, was a shame ibra did actually play well.. olny a matter of time before junkie is on telling us how good he is LOL Aquiliani was great ?. take off your liverpool glasses :D nah he was alrite, should have been sent off tho, Prince boateng's goal was amazing, that touch was a beauty!! yeh man everyone knows about barca defence, just normally no one has the ball enough too do the damage!!

LOL nooo course not.. always get injured when i wear white tho :D

yeh should have mate.. come from a football family tho, olny played rugby because schools dont take football searious and all the focus is on rugby,

i played as a goalkeeper in the second half the only goal they scored was because of a guy trying to kck the ball and they hit my knee withthe bottom of his football shoe and my knee started bleeding right away and i had to be taken off the pitch for while

until later on i came back in we went to penaltys it was 2-0 another goal and we would win team captain told me take it so i did and i scored at the end of the match evrybody ifted me up and the ref named me man of the match

A little late to the convo but:

Anyone else been a keeper all there life?

I'm a big guy but I have good reflexes so its the best position for me besides defending (this is 5 a side and if I defend I more so try to take people out. Not very nice but means they won't fuck with me for the ball haha)

I miss being 10 and playing for under 11s. Shit was so cash.

AC Milan are slowly emerging from the shadows,I reckon in a couple of years they will be UCL contenders, they actually played decent football against Barca.

OLYMPIAKOS WON AN AWAY GAME!!That never happens.

APOEL NIKOSIA became the first Cypriot team to make the last 16 and in a group that featured the last 3 non-Spanish winners of the UEFA Cup.

Valencia's 7 -0 win over Genk will count for nothing as Chelsea lost to Neverkusen.F**** dammit.

Arsenal the only EPL team guaranteed of winning their group, but that is down to the coaches, how can you rest players in the Champions League?(Fergie the prime suspect). We could have Real Madrid vs Chelsea,Barca vs Manyoo.

yeh would be a really good strikeforce , its about time they started sorting out there midfield and defence tho!! so old its crazy!! seedorf what a talent he has been!! but surley it's time too start re-building rather then just adding strikers like they did with ibra and robinho last season..

they got rid off Favalli,Dida,Pirlo.Gattuso and Ambrosini are squad members,Inzaghi wasn't even registered for their UCL squad,so they are phasing them out,but it can't happen overnight.Rather have a mixture of old and new than a team with kids who lack leadership and seniority.

they have brought in midfielders and defenders! Aquilani,Noccerino,Kevin the Prince Boateng(who on current form is the best African midfielder in Europe by miles),Van Bommel(big difference maker),Emmanuelsson,Vila,Papastathopoulos,Didac Vila,Taiwo(watch this space),Mexes.Problem is some of them are currently injured.

And heck,Massimiliano Allegri is only in his second season,1 Serie A and 1 Super Cup,they aint doing too badly.

Joe Hart proving why he's England #1.

Yeah that's what usually costs us :( Draws with Norwich and Swansea and wins away to Arsenal and Chelsea! About time a decision was made against Man Utd ;) Even though it was wrong haha. Well played... Dalglish never complains, he's too nice. Liverpool are on the up after a that decline with Rafa, Roy and the owners. I think you'll find the hardest league in the world is either the Portugal non-league division (The 1 with 4 leagues that only 1 per league gets promoted) or Englands national conference where only 2 teams go up and down. That is so clogged with good teams trying to get up with some really bad teams surviving the league 2 division.

this reminds me of the beauty of cup football, where big shot teams play those smaller teams, some filled with part timers who have day jobs, some little teams that come from small areas.

The honesty of lower leagues or regional leagues is brilliant, often lost in top-tier football with all the rich foreign onwership, excess of foreign talent etc.

what do you guys think of the German and Spanish lower leagues where the B-teams of all the clubs are incorporated into the league system?

Class result for us! I wonder if that's the game, that has put the stamp on AVB's P.45?

what is a P.45?

Chelsea have properly not replaced Makelele,Ballack and Carvalho, and to a lesser extent,Joe Cole and Arjen Robben.

R.I.P AVBs Chelsea Career.
Truly think City could kill his career off :)

Great result from us. Really happy to see a clean sheet and it was from Pantilimon(sp?)

Sadly inb4

Liverpool vs. City
United vs. Cardiff

United have had so many easy fixtures in this league. Great night of footy :)

We do have been lucky, I predict a final vs Liverpool, and Roman shouldn't sack AVB, the guy is still young and I love Chelsea's current from ;)

I bet Utd do get Cardiff, they've had an easy ride so far. But you never know, CP have Zaha!

If City get Liverpool then City they may aswell just give us the win ;) Bellamy hattrick :)

I'd be delighted if we got Cardiff, about time we would have a simple route to a final.

Well bottom line,Its great that Cup competitions are important again.

AVB should have stayed at Porto,a too bigger move, far too soon. And you know what, this whole situation could end up as egg on face for Chelsea. If they fire him,he could end up at another top team in another top European League and win it,or even the UCL.

Chelsea haven't won the Champions League since Abramovich bought them, they have had managers who have won World Cups,Champions Leagues,Various Domestic Leagues and Cups and it hasn't worked, maybe Chelsea as a club are a problem not the coAch.

I just hope the British media don't crucify this guy like they did with a one eyed view to Juande Ramos.

Chelsea are in need of a major overhaul, they need to do it now! Build there team around Torres. He doesn't play football he wants to get good passes played into him and score not come deep and link up. Lampard out! If the England team at the Euro's isn't:

Hart, Johnson/Richards, Jagielka/Jones Lescott/Jones Cole (no other options) Gerrard (C) Parker, Wilshere, Young, Milner, Bent/Carroll (if his form picks up) Rooney when he's back then Capello has no idea what he's doing.

Obviously he is gonna play Ferdinand, Terry, Lampard on reputation and he will probably play Walcott, he may aswell give up now!

Playing FM07. Doing the Brazilian promoted challenge and Serie C (there was no serie D back then, according to Wikipedia it was made in 2009 so god knows how hard that format is!)
But 16 groups of 8 teams. Top 2 go through to the next stage of trying to be 1 of the teams to get promoted.

AH,RUUD GULLIT HAS GONE ON A RANT:

Former Chelsea manager Ruud Gullit has taken a swipe at Manchester United, insisting that fans should be worried about the strength of the squad.

The Dutchman believes the Red Devils have become over-reliant on Wayne Rooney, and feels that they should have signed Wesley Sneijder from Inter during the summer.

United travel to Basel in the Champions League in midweek, with the winner of the match progressing to the knockout stage of the tournament.

"United are just too dependent on Wayne Rooney. They should have really tried to sign Sneijder," said Gullit, according to The Sunday Mirror.

"Without Paul Scholes, they really miss having a creative midfielder in the team and I can’t understand why they didn’t make good their interest in Sneijder in the summer.

"I saw United play a well-organised Benfica side last time and they really struggled because they were up against opponents that had the guts to go to Old *Trafford and attack.

"Benfica played good football and they showed that United also lack organisation in defence.

"They miss the calmness of Edwin van der Sar.

"And, because of his back injuries, Rio Ferdinand can no longer deliver what is required at the highest level.

"If I was a United fan I would worry about this team."

Does anybody remember that ref from Middlesborough/Manyoo from 10-12 years ago who 'had the audacity' to give a penalty to Middlesborough @ Old Trafford? Roy Keane looked like he was going to kill him.Its not everyday a penalty gets given to the visitors @ Old Trafford.

I find most pundits (especially BBC) to be very biased.
If a smaller team is against a europe-contending side you hear like a paragraph on the small team and a massive essay on the big teams.

Mark Lawrence is 1 of the biggest idiots in football today.
Strike 1 was when he blamed England losing to Croatia on the NFL match that made the pitch really shitty to play on. Which is complete bullshit. England played shit and Croatia deserved the win, they had to put up with that pitch as well. He then went onto say "but luckily NFL will probably never come back to england luckily" Even though its been back every year and getting stronger. (If you can't get your own sport right, don't flame other sports)
Strike 2 is whenver he's on commentary. More of a personal thing but the way he reviews a goal after it has just happens annoys me. He sometimes adds pointless stuff like who ever was in the box even though that player wasn't involved at all in the goal.
Strike 3 is he played for Liverpool...fucking scum team that they ar-KIDDING KIDDING GUYS. Just a joke I like Liverpool really :)
Strike 3 happened in MOTD with Alan. They kept saying they're waiting for a match were we struggle to see how we really fair. We then struggle against QPR and then say City can't struggle against teams like that. Make your godamn minds up!
Hell i'm all for constructive critisism like we've not kept a clean sheet with Hart in net for awhile now but alittle consistancy would've go a miss. My Newcastle fan friend says he hasn't given any credit to them for a really good run they've had at the moment too.

If it makes you feel any better David Beckham said Manchester City have no hope of winning a lot of titles regardless of money.

The thing we can both agree on is the opinion of MLS workers doesn't mean a lot compared to fergies and mancinis beliefs.

I don't honestly see any other team winning the premier league now. Spurs might if both manchester fuck up a lot but we're only 1/3 through the league and coming up to half way.

yeh i agree mate, :) but lets hope becks is right.. :D

On a side note,Remember Monaco?,Patrice Evra once played for them,as did Henry,Thuram,Barthez,Trezeguet,Weah amongst others.

They were Champions League finalists in 2004,now bottom of the French second-tier!!Thats worse than Leeds or Notts Forest

didnt realise they were that far down!! but i remmeber that champions league, Morientes knocking out madrid was funny too see, but Porto going on too win it was amazing !!!

arrogant Madrid didn't put a clause in his contract preventing him from playing against them,it bit them hard.Since then, they have made it that any on-loan player cannot face them in any competition(in Spain and Italy its optional).

Shame,Poor Patrice Evra,a player from that Monaco team has seen his carear wonder into obscurity and irrelevance. He now plays in a dead end town where according to reliable Argentinean sources, there is nothing to do and the only places to find good food are in the Italian restuarants.Tragic.He is a victim,a scape goat,a sacraficial lamb, tossed aside like an old hat,Jesus amongst Judas's,anyone with a conscience should feel sorry for him............................................... ..........................and for Patrice Evra too.

As long as both sides of the atlantic have internet access, and are passionate about their given sport. The Football/Soccer debate will rage on. Personally, I'm over it. If those silly yanks wan't to call their sport football, when the ball to foot ratio is miniscule, then whatever? That's fine by me. They're are more than welcome to that term. With their current form, actually quite factual! :D

In mid-November (Just after England beat Spain and all other friendlies had happened) I was bricking the following string of games.

An in form Newcastle, Arsenal, Napoli, Liverpool, Norwich, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and continue onwards.

Overall the most worried games I had was probably Liverpool. You're so unpredictable. You face a team you should beat, you draw/lose, you face a team you should probably lose. You push them to the limits and in some cases win.

Chelsea on the other is my least worried game. Even if we lose i'm still confident of the future.

Yup, this is why it's a joy and a nightmare to watch us, all at the same time!!

I think you'll bounce back, after the disappointment of the Champs League! It's not a disaster for you to go out at this stage, it's your first attempt, unlike ManU! I think this could be beneficial to your League push, to be honest!!

Seen a few reports of Mancini apologising to the staff, players and fans for not getting through but hopes to make it up to us.

The dude won us a trophy (A whole 1 :D) so he my 100% backing

De Jong said our main goal has always been the Premier League so its good to hear we have our goals in order.

Also since it hasn't been brought up yet. Vidic is out for the whole season. Big blow for them.

Aslong as english players stay healthy i'll be happy.
Don't want to see Uri Gellar on this morning trying to cure broken bones ever again. But thats just me, i'm sure many people love daytime TV lol

Actually I will allow every english striker ever to get injured (except Rooney since he's banned for the first 2) so then Heskey has to come out of retirement ;D *jokes, injures are painful so I don't really wish that*

IMO he should get what rooney got for swearing, but i doubt he will..

Love him or hate him you have to respect how damn good he is. I bet Chelsea and Spurs seriously regret not signing him. He got charged for the racism thing and the fa are dragging that out big time. (Funny how Terry hasnt been. FA are the racists) And for sticking his finger up (which Giggs did against Basel but he won't be charged) he again has been charged.

I agree with Harry R, Moyes and Kenny. FA can't be banning people for 3 games after a red and when managers appeal they don't even hear them out and then when it comes to the Rooney one they appeal, they can't be doing that although I'm pleased for England it's just unfair and will cause problems in the future when teams appeal.

What are your thoughts on Vidic? Out for the season not good.

honestly mate agree with alot of what you said.. rooney should have never got that banned overturned, he can olny blame himself for being a twat!! simple as that.. should learn bye now, you can expect a younger player too lash out but now he should be setting the example! the terry thing.. if found guilty should be taken very searious but we will wait and see on that one..

Vidic it's a huge blow.. different team without him in the side, if he was still on the pitch, united get the draw and go through.. thats how much i rate him!! evans who once looked so talented and looked like he could become a star is now a liabillty!! just lucky we do have smalling or jones too fill the gap.. but with the da silva's out also the R.B. spot needs covering, bad times! think alot of people dont realise how much we lost in the summer and that this season is a re-building process!! we lost.. van der sar , neville and scholes.. basically like pool losing carragher , reina and gerrard.. and if that happend no one would expect them too challenge for anything but with united everyone still expects it.. so speaks volumes about united as a club!!

Yep, Rooney really needs to start concentrating on performing well this season or he may end up playing Europa games (he prob will anyway, he plays like every game) People mention Carroll and Torres not scoring goals but over the past few months Rooney hasn't done much granted he did score 10 in August/September/Part of October he needs to start scoring, simple!

Yeah Vidic is outstanding! The best defender in the world IMO. Of course he has had bad games (a few v Liverpool ;) ) but who hasn't? He's still the most consistenly good defender and he is an oustanding captain. Man Utd always have cover though but Jones seems to be tired, Smalling looking a bit shakey allthough he is quality. As for Evans, I never saw it really, my bro is a big Utd fan and loved Evans but IMO he gives away too many fouls and always looks shakey. At one point it did look like he would prove me wrong though but with these new additions his confidence seems to be gone.

Yeah losing Van Der Sar and Scholes was huge. Man Utd fans seemed to have forgot how good Scholes was and how influencel he was last season, probably because he didn't play as many games as Giggs but now they really need a creative midfielder, in a match program SAF said he regretted not signing Charlie Adam, I so glad Liverpool did, his passing is outstanding and something Man Utd could do with right now. Scholes - one of the best midfielders ever, I wish he stayed for another year.

also any of you guys know or reckon bellamy will play this weekend ?. looking at my dream team and im stuck :)

Wow, I wrote pretty much an essay above, I'll keep this one short ;)

I think: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Kuyt or Maxi, Henderson (who impresses me more and more every week, I never doubted him) Adam, Downing, Suarez and Bellamy in a 442. One thing that annoyed me about Monday v Fulham was that Carroll played but Downing didn't. The reason we signed Downing was to supply Carroll.

I hope Kuyt doesn't play. He can't play football he should play in the important games against big team like Park does for Man Utd. Anyway predictions for tomorrow:

Arsenal 2 v 0 Everton

Bolton 1 v 1 Aston Villa

Liverpool 3 v 1 QPR

Man Utd 3 v 0 Wolves

Norwich 1 v 0 Newcastle

Swansea 2 v 0 Fulham

West Brom 1 v 0 Wigan

I'm 95% Silva will play against Chelsea. He subbed him in the Bayern match after awhile so unless he's sucked in training he'll play. Dunno if that helps.

Oh and just seen we have Arsenal right after. Ugh...can we face out of form weaker teams now @_@

Also for the Red Toffee faithfuls:
3rd January 2012 - Etihad Stadium - 2nd premier league match
11th January 2012 - Etihad Stadium - 1st Carling cup draw semi final match
25th January 2012 - Anfield - 2nd semi final match

We're gunna hate seeing each other after January.
Also inb4 City and Liverpool go through and then face in the 4th round of the FA Cup...in January lol

Haha nice, there is one Arsenal fan, Subject Zero though he isn't much on. I don't like to speak highly of Man Utd players but when they're that good I have too. Vidic is an old school defender, commited, doesn't care if he gets hurt, commanding. He deserved respect off everyone no matter who they support, also I like to be unbiased, it's the best way to enjoy football. (obviously I try and favour Liverpool)

Nice predictions, pretty similar to mine result wise.
