3 time tag champ and main eventer with nexus
this guy has a heck of a future either midcard or main event
his match with tyson was very good
and the crowd was with him all the time, I have to say more than wade and bryan :/

thoughts?

Needs to work on mic skills, but yeah a future mid-card champion. Other than Bryan and Barrett he was the only other guy in NXT season 1 that actually looked like they have a credible future.

I don't think Gabriel will be a main eventer. He does have the look, for sure. The lack of evident mic skills may hurt him, but it isn't really required for his purpose.

Gabriel WILL be a Main Eventer.
Bryan WILL be a Main Eventer.
Barrett WILL be a Main Eventer.
Slater will be NOTHING
Young will be NOTHING
Sheffield COULD be a Main Eventer. (We will see)
Tarver COULD of been SOMETHING.

Justin Gabriel has a lot of potential. He may not look like main event material but I wouldn't doubt him being a main eventer in the future. And I wouldn't say his mic skills would hurt him that bad. There are plenty of wrestlers(Jeff Hardy, Chris Benoit, Bret Hart, etc) who didn't have strong mic skills but had an interesting spark to them that made up for their lack of mic skills.

They should keep him in a tag team. He's good at it and if he can improve on his mic skills while being one of the stars of the tag team division, it might be possible for him to follow the same road of evolution ( of wathever the word for it in English is ) as Christian ( perhaps like Edge, but Christian fitts him more I think ). This can also be very good for the tag team division, because most people are always complaining about the WWE putting stars together to make a tag team ( ex. Big Show and Kane ) and afterwards breaking it up again... By keeping Gabriel, a true tag team star, in a tag team, they avoid this problem and might bring the solution to that problem. Of Course, one tag team with Gabriel ( and Heath Slater or someone else ) and another with the current tag team champs are not enough, but it's a start I think...

Are you from the future?
Seriously though, gotta admire your certainty, if nothing else

who is in that gif?
seriously that booty has some hypnotic powers

on topic... I see both him and Bryan topping out as mid-card title holders, who maybe get 1 or 2 world title runs if they stay with WWE long enough... That just seems to be the way things go, I like Gabriel, but everyone someone likes doesn't need/deserve/whatever a world title... It comes down to believability, it is a lot harder to suspend my disbelief that someone who is about 100lbs below the average main event weight is the top of the heap. Its the same with Mysterio. I think Mysterio is one of the best things to ever happen to pro wrestling in america, but I cant find a conceivable way that he can legitimately pin someone like The big Show, or even someone as large as a John Cena or Shaemus cleanly.

We need the light-heavyweight, or cruiserweight title back, and soon!

My take

Gabriel - TOp babyface Mid-card/Low babyface top card
DBD - ME - Heel or face, preferably heel.
Wade - ME - Heel
Skip - ME Face
Tarver - Top mid-card heel
Slater - low mid-card heel
Young - low mid-card face.

Put Gabriel in the IC title hunt, as well as Tyson Kidd, and I'm sure they will have good matches with Cody Rhodes and maybe Ted

Gabriel is good I think the only problem he has is with the mic and that might be cause of his accent

Everyone forgets about Otunga, that says something about his chances.

This is so true, however all the guys mentioned had to work their butt off for years before they got their main event slot. I could see this happening with Justin Gabriel also.

I honestly Don't see much potential in him. He's good in the ring but average at best on the mic and dosen't have any type of gimmick.I expect him to stay on Superstars and only appear on Smackdown to Job to a bigger star or defeat a lesser one.

I agree he has a look but he definitely needs mic skills.

I think because WWE are showing his trip to South Africa then it could be hyping him a little. He's exciting in the ring and I hope he gets a good push in the future..

I liked his brief promo on bret hart last year

I dont agree that he has no Mic skills as he's not had any real Mic time that wasn't centered around wade barrett

It is said the Trips wants to introduce people and get them known by the crowd via vignettes and video packages.

I really don't see Gabriel ever being a main eventer, Barrett hopefully Bryan 50/50

@Los Conquistador

I agree with you 110% about his mic skills
I personally think that people are watching his promotional video of him with his home country crowd and basing his mic skills of of that

Out of season 1 NXT, I've liked Barrett, Gabriel, Tarver, Sheffield & Danielson

Young always creeped me out cuz he looked like a black, Jersey Shore version of John Cena

This statement is implying John Cena isn't already a basic level reality star with a constant streak of sloppy wrestling so he may actually call himself a wrestler.

Anyway back to the original point. I like Justin and i think he may be a future prospect for the WWE, i just don't see him progressing further than a midcard title. The CW title needs to make its comeback soon with stars like Sin Cara, Bourne and Gabriel all deserving titles in some capacity.

Gabriel has a bright future for sure. He's got the look, charisma, and in-ring skills. That match with Tyson Kidd was superb. That's the kind of wrestling I want to see on a regular basis.

I'm into that dude too, I think he's the total package.
