you know wouldnt it be awsome to have only 6 ppvs?
2 months to build all of it and have other feuds
increasing buyrate and making storylines believable
?

a month and a half build up would be good enough

5-6 weeks should be the average and most correct time in which to properly build feuds to make PPV's exciting again.
4 weeks is ok but any less than that is just god awful booking.

It doesn't matter.. WWE make a shitload of money for their PPV's. Sure it would be nice for the storylines etc but why change it when they're getting an extreme amount of money.. And I doubt the PPV buys would go up much anyway with people just getting links online nowadays
I don't really care either way. The problem isn't that there are to many PPV's, it's just a symptom of a product that (maybe, I enjoy it) isn't good enough. Cutting a few ppv's could be a part of the solution, but I don't thinkit's the biggest problem.
I'd like to see mid-card feuds carry over a greater time-span though.. Let a rivalry span over three months, let both parties get a win over the other, let one win a title from a third competitor and then make it a three way..
If the feuds are promising, people will watch the ppv.

WWE has 2 shows to work and build up their stars for a PPV which gives them good time. TNA has a lot of talent and only one show. We need to make Xplosion a show to get more mid-card and lower stars into feuds.

I can tell you from watching from the days of three ppv's a year it was WAY more exciting, the matches COUNTED and were must see. I think they would make just as much money with less ppv's by having time to build the angles and getting more people buying the ppvs.
The only downside to less PPV's means that the prices for said PPV's would go way up and illegal streams would be even more popular.

I agree, WWE needs to go back to the big 4. I feel like they are rushing the storylines for the PPV. There is no time to build it up for people to get excited. Not to mention the mid cards or lower cards doesn't even get a storyline. There is maybe 1 or 2 story lines for the midcard. No build up, after PPV they just go straight to another story line with no conclussion. Prime example why needs to go back to the big 4, look at the Punk story. He won the WWE belt left. 2 weeks later back, had to rush for Summer Slam. The intrigue was gone, no what will happen next question? When will he be back question. He came back, it kind of became whatever, that didn't take long.

I remember when SummerSlam built to Survivor Series which built to Royal Rumble then Wrestlemania. Throw a couple Saturday Nights Main Events in there and by the time Wrestlemania came things were ready to explode.

i would rather they make the PPVs brand specific. that way WWE doesnt lose any money on cutting back PPVs, but the feuds could still have a long time to build for every other PPV. this could also bring some prestige back to the mid card titles. they could also bring back the Womens championship, the womens tag team championship, and maybe with time another mens tag team championship

I would say do only these ppv's per year.
Royal Rumble
Wrestlemania
Summer Slam
Survivor Series
Night of Champions
Bragging Rights
If I had to add in 2 others I would say add TLC and then bring back either No Way Out, No Mercy, or Armageddon.

I like the 8 per year deal. That gives plenty of time for massive buildups and doesn't sour the PPV's.

It could also be fixed with brand specific PPV's like Mtt said. We get the quality PPV's and WWE still can keep it's money. A win win if you ask me.

The Problem WWE has is they are giving all the matches on Free TV..... seeing Cena and Orton in the ring togther 3 or 4 times on free TV with finishes like the Heel they are feuding with causing the match to end in DQ or costing one of them the match in 10 mins means nothing and takes away when they are trying to build a huge PPV main event of Cena vs Orton cause its been done before 3 or 4 times on TV, even if it wasnt a satisfying finish it was still done.
The Reason WM23 did so well, you wanna know? Cause Cena and HBK never had a match before.... Batistia and Undertaker never wrestled before. People want new, and build up to big matches.
soultion? have longer matches on Raw, instead of Dolp Ziggler vs John Morrison being 10 mins, make it 20 mins, it helps devolp the match and kills more time... give mid card wrestlers and top card wrestlers longer matches.... Remember when WWF use to give Bret Hart and 123 Kid almost 30 mins for the main event of Raw.
Another thing... WWE needs more wrestlers... Right now their is maybe 2 or 3 main event heels on Both brands... Del Rio, Miz and Christian are the only ones that can be taken as serious threaths... and Christian and Miz really i wouldnt consider a threath for the Main titles, they were booked very poorly the last few monthes.... then you have the mid card heels like Mark Henery who is not what i consider a main event heel or threat, Dolph ziggler who has been so far from main events in the last 6 monthes is not even funny.... and Cody Rhodes who is just starting his upper midcard run....... So really Del Rio is the only threath as a heel WWE has.... thats ridcules.
