When asked why he wears a mask, he replied, “The mask adds a certain mystique to my image. It makes people wonder who I really am and gives additional interest to Mistico.” He adds that it’s difficult for him to see through the mask since he can’t see half the time.

The mask he wore in CMLL, had open eye holes, like Rey's mask! As much as Hunico has been doing well 2 things: firstly he hasn't been totally botch free, the episode where they had to re film with Slater, that was Sin Hunico and secondly, if you haven't noticed, Sin Hunico uses a very different move set to Sin Cara! Sin Cara, for all his botches, was a much different and much more fluid mover to Sin Hunico!!

Now, I have done a bit of sewing in my time, and we can hope that the visible "eye ridges" are actually wear the holes should be and the same size, but we don't know. We also don't have the slightest idea how thick the fabric is, or how loosely it is woven over his eyes, or what. Combine that with the retarded under-lighting WWE seems to insist on each time he comes out, and the fact that both "Sin Caras" have botched quite a bit, and it seems like, while that may not be the only issue the mask does seem to be a factor. We are not talking other luchadore masks here, we are talking about the specific style mask he is wearing.

I kinda think a lot of the reason that Huncio Cara botches less is that he is taking a lot fewer risks with his moveset. To be fair I think any fan, apart from really young kids, would know it wasn't Sin Cara! Hunico is heavier, taller and has a darker skin tone!!

Like i said you can't be sure completely, unless you buy a replica and try it on yourself. Either way, they both have been amazing in the ring, and if they can't see that well with what they have on, doing what they do... Then i find that pretty awesome in my book. But if it's really difficult to see with that mask on, i think it needs a revamp.

the truth seems to be that he was taking them medically for his knee, as a doctor in Mexico told him to.
I really want Sin Cara to do well, because that will get WWE to maybe bring over more lucha wrestlers, the lucha style is my personal favorite and I would love to see it AND be able to understand the commentary/promos

If both guys are botching, then they need to change the mask. I don't care if its an excuse or not. Its a safety issue! I also don't care who wore a halloween mask with the same eye covers also. Fact is, you more than likely weren't running, jumping & propelling yourself off things like ring ropes & turnbuckles while you were wearing it.

You also can not put down this report. You have no evidence of what he's saying is true or false. You don't know what kind of vision he has in the first place without the mask & you don't even know if the mask is made the same as the other masks or your halloween mask. I don't blame him much, it's difficult adjusting to that sort of thing, but he should at least no better then to wear a mask where he has full viability. I mean...that's dangerous. That is a risk to not only himself, but to other wrestlers and the fans.

Well I would think it is very difficult to wrestle with limited sight... you would think WWE could get him another mask made of something else etc.

Fact is, you more than likely weren't running, jumping & propelling yourself off things like ring ropes & turnbuckles while you were wearing it.
