Finlay said it best, "You can't see pain...you can only feel pain." That being said, I believe blood makes the viewer realize how painful the match is. IMO, seeing Triple H get beat down so bad that he can barely walk & he's not bleeding anywhere makes me think it looks more fake than it already is. Maybe its because I grew up with them blading or maybe I'm right...who knows.

So you'd have prefered it if Orten had stopped after the bell shot, realised the damage he'd done and rushed to Rhodes's assistance. Cause that would have looked right!

Yeah, he "celebrated" there were people there who had paid to see a wrestling show, and he is supposed to be getting more and more violent, it wouldn't have looked nearly as good if he had just stopped and tried to help him, from a story perspective, it would not have made any sense.
Orton and Rhodes both know the risk, and both know and trust the on-call medical staff, so Orton trusted that they could take care of him, while he did his job.

Personally I hope that we see Orton go back to being a heel here, but I don't know if that is going to happen or not.

It was just a botch. I am in no way trying to defend Orton because he should have been more careful but its not like he actually wanted to hurt Rhodes like that. You can tell by the look on his face that he knew he had fucked up badly.

Hes more likely to get fined. If Cody Rhodes is okay and if it was just an accident, I don't see the big deal in Randy Orton getting punished. Just give him a fine for the unprotected shot and that's it.

i watched that clip you posted, he does seem to say, 'I'm sorry Cody'. Before RKOing him onto a table twice lol, the 2nd one wasn't aired.
there's a video on this site with the full footage, with orton cleaning cody's blood off and the doctors tending to cody before the RKOs.
