Diesel you can't really argue with ,winning the triple crown in in 94 pretty much his best year with the company,that and the fact he won shed loads of awards from PWI ,wwf ect

your runner up i would disagree with,if only cause it would have suited him 1 year previous,the fact he literally broke out or jumped from Brets shadow in 1993 is the reason he got such a push in 94,,so that leads me to whom i would give runner up to,what based on how i understand your terms "brakeout superstar" has to be.............................

considering he was a jobber 1993,by the start of the year he was tag champ and by the summer he had what i consider a very underrated match against bret hart on wwf tv,so compared to the previous year thats definitely a brake out year :@)

I can see why you left out the tag division for this year,the tag teams where most definitely on there way out but if i had to pick one it would be The Head Shrinker,although i dont think you could call either of them brake through.

i picked owen as runner up because 94 was highly eventful for him. as i mentioned, he did a lot. In 93 he first started getting somewhere but all he did was have a minor fall out with Bret (starting the heel turn) and then made up with him and patched things up. In 94 he completely came into his own. Never wrestled at Mania before, started a run where he always would.

These blogs take more of a look on the whole year. Owen only just started nudging into heel territory at S Series 93, which was in November. In terms of the year, 123 kid achieve more of a breakthrough than him, going from nobody to super underdog in a 6 month period

Someone had to win the 1995 gong, and no way Bret wasnt winning 92.

My logic is this.
1991 - Bret makes a breakthrough. Taker makes a bigger breakthrough however.
1992 - Bret makes the biggest possible breakthrough - wwe gold. once there, that is the ultimate push.
