DK - Catching up on all the blogs I missed during my week off. This one is a highlight of the reads so far.
MagnaJoe - Completely agree. They should have held the belts a little longer in my opinion but I understand why they gave the belts to Daniels/Kaz. As much as I love Joe and think he should be in the Main Event contention, MagnaJoe brought a LOT to a depleted Tag Division and felt it could continue to regain some strength to it.
As for Mr Anderson, I understand where you're coming from. I wasn't a fan of Mr. Kennedy, but I like him a LOT more as Anderson. I just prefer him to be straight heel instead of trying to work the tweener angle. The whole reason the "asshole" gimmick got over with me is because he was that heel asshole and did it pretty well. Ring work has been more crisp since returning and I think that he could be in the top heel category for TNA if given the chance. He might not be Roode or Bully Ray, but he is definately better to replace Angle as the 3rd top heel than his alternative... Crimson.
All in all, thank you for this unbiased and honest review of the current TNA product. It's nice to hear someone not bashing for once.
Hell, first and for most; good blog bro. We're Wednesday, and I am just NOW posting. Felt the need to in a way. Heck, it was the first blog I've ever seen you write where there has been absolutely NO COMMENTS whatsoever. Does this in fact mean that the rest of the "blog land" agrees with you?!?! Have you finally converted these mediocre wrestling fans over to "The Saviors' Dark Side"?!?! LOL God knows....
OTL was an awesome ppv. Bryan/Punk was sensational. Raw had such heights to live up to, was kind of foreseeable that it'd crash and burn as it did. I was actually looking forward to seeing a blog on your predictions rather than a review.
One last thing, I'm looking forward to this weeks Sudden IMPACT blog. What with all that has gone on this past week in TNA, I'll be looking forward to hearing your views and opinions.
Thanks again for the read, cheers bro.
Good blog. Have to disagree with you on one front though.
"For those who hate Hogan because of the backstage political game he played, you should equally hate John Cena for the same sins."
I would be willing to bet that has very little to do with Cena and everything to do with VKM. Everything I have read about Cena that wasn't strictly opinion was all about him taking care of the younger guys. Let's be completely honest, VKM books it all and creative... well... isn't very creative. I could be wrong obviously but I doubt VKM is going to let anyone politic like Hogan did in WCW.
Before anyone bashes on me... I am not a Cena mark. I really don't like or hate him honestly. He is just part of the show.
Good:Battle Royal,Christian vs rhodes,punk vs bryan,4-way match,divas & tag team titles
Boring:Kane vs Ryder,miz vs clay,ryback vs camacho,cena vs ace
Really enjoyed over the limit. I'd give 8.5/10. As for commentators; I want William Regal on raw as I really like his commentating. Cena/Laurinaitis was only mainevent so the Big Show heel turn could finish off the show.
Yes I loved the PPV wish they had the CM Punk and Bryan match on for last that way i could have went to bed happy.
Well 2 out of 3 falls anyone for Summer slam???
I have to disagree on one point - I thought Friday's Smackdown was fantastic and probably one of the better episodes we've seen in a while. Just my opinion.
