Welcome everyone, to the Royal Ramble! I am Trick the writer of the Royal Ramble! Follow me on twitter @TheRoyalRamble once I get out of Twitter jail. This is the first addition to my weekly review blog on Raw! Before I start, if whatever I say offends or pisses anyone off, well then grow a pair and move on! Happy 4th of July by the way! Let's kick things off with Monday Night Raw!

Raw kicked off with non-other than John Cena! I personally can't stand Cena and really wish that he would just turn heel! But instead, the WWE continues to shove Cena down our throats with the terrible Big Show angle. Cena starts to talk about how he will stop at nothing to win the Money in the Bank match. Of course he throws some kiddie crap in the promo when it's not needed. I honestly don't get how Cena is still so over. "YES!" Oh, how one word can make me so happy. Because that one word means Daniel Bryan is coming out to save us from a terrible promo by Cena. Might I add that the crowd was very strange and very pro Cena that night. Bryan states that he will be become the new WWE Champion! CM Punk then comes out and says that he disagrees with Bryan. Punk begins doing a "Yes" chant as the Cena, Jerry Lawler, and the crowd all agree with Punk. Bryan then cuts off Punk and tells him to get an original catchphrase. Punk goes on to say that AJ will count Bryan's shoulders down on the mat and Punk will retain. He then turns to Cena and says "it looks like it's just you and me again." I would actually be ok with that just because the matches they put were very damn good! Chris Jericho then comes out and says almost every single catchphrase that he has ever had. I kinda felt bad for Cena here because there was SO MUCH TALENT IN THE RING! I wanted you all to read that! Jericho says that he will win the Money in the Bank match. Kane's pyro then goes off and out comes the monster! Jericho looked like a frightened little girl when Kane was staring at him. Then... ugh, the Big Show came out. Cena looked ready to fight when Bryan attacked Cena from behind a brawl brakes out. Punk and Bryan take out each other, Kane takes Jericho, and Big Show takes out Kane and Cena. The announcers proceed to tell us that Show cleaned house...eh just Cena and Kane. Please WWE take Big Show out of this angle with Cena! I think the only reason they aren't is just because the crowds are actually cheering Cena lately. That's how bad we can't stand Show, he makes us cheer the overrated Hulk Hogan of this era!

The first match of the night was Christian, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, & Santino vs The Primetime Players, David Otunga, & Cody Rhodes. The match could have been great if the Primetime Players and Rhodes didn't walk out on the match. A match that had potential ended terribly with Brodius Clay coming down and having little kids dance with him. Seriously what are these writers thinking?! Just have a damn match in full and take the f*cking U.S. title off of Santino! Oh and Kingston get more than 6 moves! Not to mention that the next camera shot is of Teddy Long dancing like a moron infront of the television. Raw is almost becoming hard to watch! I really hope they are doing this on purpose and just waiting for the 1000 episode to just go all out. But I'll probably get my hopes up as I do in this day and age of the WWE!

Del Rio beats up Sin Cara....again no match....next. This doesn't even deserve to be talked about. But I will mention that an as*hole chant got started and I haven't heard that in years!

Daniel Bryan is shown backstage and gives a rose to AJ. AJ proceeds to bite off the rose and shoves it back into Bryan. AJ really might bring the more mature side of the WWE back. And if a chick does who cares as long as it's back! This AJ/Punk/Bryan angle is awesome just on the sole fact that it reminds me of an old Attitude Era angle. It just pisses me off that it's 2nd to John Cena and the Big Slow. The WWE Championship is supposed to be the most prized thing in the WWE right? So why are the championship matches 2nd to Cena? I've been scratching my head over that for about the past couple years. So Cena is bigger than your own company's title? That's just stupid in my eyes. I get that they did it with Austin too but come on! That's Stone Cold! John Cena will never be in the same league as Austin! Sorry if I got off track there!

Paul Heyman cuts a weird satellite promo and the only important thing said in the promo is that Brock Lesnar will respond to Triple H in person at the 1000 episode of Raw.

We about half way through a terrible Monday Night Raw! So let's take a break so we can rest our eyes from sh*t! Let's take this moment to go on Twitter and follow @TheRoyalRamble! I was live tweeting during Raw until the Twitter police came and shut me down temporarily. I hope to have it back by tomorrow. Also follow @MarkinOut! They pretty much live tweet through almost every wrestling show out there! They are very entertaining and they are on a march to 5000 followers so help them get that! They also have a podcast that you can subscribe to through www.markinout.com and iTunes! I feel like DX with these cheap plugs! Also go to www.lockerdome.com and make an account, as I will soon have a personal Royal Ramble page on their soon! Now back to Raw!

We actually get a pretty decent match out of this! Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero vs Sheamus & AJ. I really don't understand why there was a need to throw the girls in the match but ok. Ziggler is this generation's HBK! He is the future and they need to let him win the Money in the Bank match and cash in on Sheamus! The match starts and throughout the match their was a lot of back and forth between Ziggler and Sheamus. Sheamus finally gets the upper-hand and almost Brouge-Kicks (I hope I spelled that right.) Ziggler. Right before Sheamus could, Ziggler tags Vickie. Ziggler thinks he on the apron but still gets kicked from Sheamus. AJ comes in and wins the match. AJ then proceeds to get on the mic and starts doing some "Yes" chants and runs into the back. Sheamus still proceeds to celebrate with AJ's music playing which was pretty funny. AJ is shown backstage trying to find Punk and when she does, Punk is on the phone. She interrupts the phone call and Punk is irritated. She asks if he watched her match and he proceeds to tell her no he was on the phone. She walks away upset and Punk gives the "I don't know what to tell you" look.

Heath Slater beats the Brooklyn Braw..excuse me, Doink the Clown. I was pissed for minute because I was expecting DDP to come out and before I knew it...."BANG! YO it's me, it's me. It's DDP!" DDP gives the Diamond Cutter to Slater and that was that! I really hope they get some better legends for the 1000 episode of Raw! Even though DDP and Vader were cool. What I meant is that I want some big time old names!

Kane vs Big Show in a no DQ match is next. The match was fast and ok. Is it bad that was hoping that Kane would injure the Big Show on accident? There were a few moments where it looked liked Show was injured. He chokeslammed Kane on a chair for the win. Can they please not call that God-awful spear the Big Show does a spear?! They need a new name for that because it just looks awful for one and Christian has the spear for two!

Eve makes her return and makes fun of a crying AJ. AJ then asks her "that you will do anything for attention, won't you?" She then tells her that she will show how to get attention. In my eyes these are the two best divas since Trish and Lita!

Tyson Kidd vs Tensai is the next match. Kidd defeats Tensai in a fast roll-up. This victory for Kidd reminded me when Shelton Benjamin defeated Triple H in a roll-up. Tensai proceeded to beat up his "worshiper" Sakamoto after the match. Tensai then attacked Kidd backstage. I really hope they keep pushing Kidd! Kidd should be the U.S. Champion!

THE MAIN EVENT!
The main event was Chris Jericho & Daniel Bryan vs CM Punk & John Cena. The match starts off with Punk and Bryan going back and forth until Cena gets tagged in. Cena starts to beat up on Bryan and Bryan quickly tags Jericho in. Now, Cena and Jericho start to go back and forth. Both men wrestle for a while until they are both gassed. They each make a tag and now Punk and Bryan are back going at it. Punk locks in the Vice but Jericho breaks it up. Cena then fights Jericho out of the ring and chases him into the back. Punk and Bryan are left in the ring going very fast paced and the crowd is eating it up. Punk gives Bryan a super-plex from the top turnbuckle and then AJ comes out to the ring skipping. She stands on the apron trying to get their attention. Then, she proceeds to pull a table out from under the ring. She sets up the table on the outside of the ring and climbs up the turnbuckles. As she stands on the turnbuckle, she stares down at the table, looking like shes going to jump! Bryan goes to the outside to try and stop her. Punk then runs on the apron and tries to stop her. As Punk does she kisses me and pushes him off the apron crashing down on Bryan and through the table.

End of Raw! This Raw was terrible and really hope they are just saving everything for the 1000 episode of Raw. Which they really should do. But these episodes leading up until then can be better! I just don't understand what is going on through the heads of the writers! If I got to write one episode of Raw, I would turn the tables and leave everyone shocked! I think this whole "well they have no competition anymore" saying is bullsh*t. No, it's just the fact that the writers and the WWE got lazy! They can give a good show if they want but something is holding them back and I can't really lay my finger on it, but I have a couple of ideas. #1 Linda's senate run. Or #2 John Cena has a lot of say. What else is holding them back from gaining ratings and being on top of the world again?! I just don't get it. In one of my up and coming blogs I will talk about what I would do if I was in charge of one episode of Raw. Trust me, you will want to read it.

Now, I'm not usually going to talk about Smack Down, but since it was on tonight, I feel like I should talk about one segment. That segment was of the course the AJ/Punk/Bryan segment. Whose side is AJ on? It looked like she picked Bryan when she started making out with him. Punk looked sad but I said to myself "Punk don't worry! You will get sloppy seconds!" And that he did! The crowd ate it up too! This angle is more for the adult viewers and I hope they continue that trend. I think in the end Punk will be the one she chooses because I just see Punk vs Cena at SummerSlam already! BTW please WWE! Don't just leave only 4 wrestlers in one Money in the Bank match! That's so stupid especially since 3 out of the 4 don't really work in ladder matches! But as it's looking, that is what it will be. Way to screw up again WWE!

Now the overall I give Raw this week out of ten is.........a 3! This episode was terrible with an ok main event. Come on WWE! You can do better!

Before I start, once again I'm going to say this list is in my opinion and if you don't agree tough sh*t! If anything I say offends you, well then grow a pair and move on to the next blog. OR!!!! you can read my old blog and here is the link! http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/commun...Failing-PG-Era Anyway now that I got my cheap plug in, let's get this started!

19 years ago, we heard Vince McMahon say "Welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw!" Since then our eyes have glued to the tv. We've seen brawls, beer bashes, and puppies! On July 23rd, Raw reaches an incredible milestone with it's 1000 episode. Now I'm here to count down the top 20 moments in Raw's 1000 episodes!

So....Are you ready?

20. John Cena Drafted to Raw - June 6th, 2005
On June 6th, 2005, Monday Night Raw came to St. Louis and on this night, we would find out who the first person was to be drafted from SmackDown to Raw! Chris Jericho held his Highlight Reel show to kick off Raw. He didn't waste anytime and said "Bring out Raw's first draft pick!" A silence went over the crowd as they awaited to see who it was. Then out of no where, John Cena's music went off and the place went nuts! Wearing a very old retro St. Louis Spirit jersey, John Cena came out pumped up and ready to go! I was there and was not expecting this to happen. Just a great memory and was a great moment for Raw.

19. Mike Tyson/Stone Cold Stare Down - January 19th, 1998
The night before this Raw was the Royal Rumble. On that ppv they showed Mike Tyson sitting in a press box with Shane McMahon watching the show. Stone Cold would go on to win that year's Royal Rumble match. The next night on Raw, Vince McMahon introduced the "Baddest Man on the Planet! Iron Mike Tyson!" Tyson would come out with his entourage and Vince announced that Tyson would be the special enforcer for the WWE Championship at Wrestle Mania 14. Stone Cold comes out talks trash to Tyson and gives him the finger. Tyson would follow up and brawl broke out. Vince was irate, yelling "you ruined it!" The confrontation was all over news and sports outlets all around the world, making that years Wrestle Mania a can't miss.

18. Vince McMahon's Hospital Visitors - October 5th, 1998
Vince McMahon was in the hospital due to a foot injury and he got some unexpected visitors this night. First, Mankind decides to stop by with some balloons, a clown, and the debut of Mr. Socko! Vince was not too pleased. With Mankind trying his best to cheer up his boss, he makes Socko kiss Vince's broken foot. Which actually hurts Vince, making him getting very pissed and kicks everyone out of the room. The next time they show Vince in the hospital the nurse is checking up on Vince and the doctor walks in. "Oh I'll take it from here nurse" is said in the back by the doctor and Vince's eyes light up because everyone knows that voice. Stone Cold then runs over to Vince and beats the living hell out of him. He starts punching his foot and then hits Vince over the head with a bedpan. A great comedic segment for Raw.

17. DX Invades WCW - April 27th, 1998
Before I start on this one, WCW really pussied out on this! They could have had the greatest episode of Nitro they have ever done and DX invading would have backfired in WWE's face! But thank God they did because I hated WCW! I love how this starts out with Triple H acting like he is a Sargent walking up and down the line of DX. With DX holding guns acting like they are in the army and WCW is the enemy, which they were in a Monday night war. It was one of the most entertaining segments DX has ever done! DX goes up to the arena in a tank, where WCW is holding Nitro that night. DX would then go around to every fan asking if they liked WCW and almost everyone said no! DX chants came around and then DX decided to try and go into the arena through the garage. But when they tried, the garage door closed. DX tried to knock on the door but to avail. DX then decided it was back to return home to the WWE.

16. Eric Bischoff Debuts - July 15th, 2002
"Tell me I didn't just see that?!" Booker T said those famous words when he saw Eric Bischoff smile at him and walk by him. After the next commercial break, Vince McMahon comes and says he has found a replacement for the Raw GM. "And his name is Eric Bischoff!" Bischoff comes out and the two hugged on stage while the crowd was stunned! These two hated each other for the longest time and now best friends?! An unforgettable moment for Raw, the WWE and the wrestling world!

15. Ric Flair Returns - November 19th, 2001
It was the night after one of the biggest Survivor Series in WWE history. Team WWE defeated the Alliance and took full control back over the WWE. The next night on Raw a change was coming. Vince McMahon was about to strip the WWE Championship from Stone Cold and give to Kurt Angle, but then "WOOOO!" Ric Flair comes out and Vince and Kurt want to what's going on. Flair announced that the night before, he bet on a winner. When Shane and Stephanie sold their stocks....they sold it to the Nature Boy WOOO! In the words of Ric Flair to Vince McMahon "We're partners!" Vince freaked out and out came Stone Cold! He beat the living hell out of Angle and Vince, then took his belt back, and had a beer bash with Flair! WOOOOOO!

14. The Rock's First Concert - March 24th, 2003
"Leavin Sacramento, Sacramento there I go. They got some fat ass women and the Rock is gonna just say no. I might catch a plane, I might catch a train. How do you people live here? You must be insane! Sacramento I won't stay. But I'll be sure to come back when the Lakers beat the Kings in May!" This song should have won a Grammy. I love this damn segment! The Rock played his Hollywood character perfectly! What made this awesome and hilarious was the fact how he could get the crowd cheering and then booing just seconds later. You could just tell The Rock was just having so much fun doing this. Even though the crowd boo'd it, they sure as hell loved it at the same time. Not to mention the guitar was signed by Willie Nelson. "The Rock can't wait to whip your bald candy-ass again!" And the last and final song of the concert should have also won a Grammy! How can you not love this segment?! To make things better Stone Cold would eventually come out and brawl followed, well actually the Hurricane came out first and we got hear some awesome Hamburglar jokes lol. A classic night in Sacramento for sure!

13. Kane Returns - August 26th, 2002
For weeks, Kane promos had been appearing on Raw, hyping the monster's return. On August 26th, 2002, the Un-Americans (Test, Christian, and Lance Storm) decided they wanted to burn the American flag. Just as they were about to do it Kane's pyro went off and another promo for him showed on the titantron. Kane did not come out and so the Un-Americans continued. Booker T and Goldust came running through the crowd and jumped into the ring. They tried to stop them but it was three against two. They fought to the outside of the ring and while it seemed that Christian and Storm had Booker and Goldust under control outside, Test went back into the ring and was getting to burn the flag. As he got closer, Kane's pyro went off again but this time the Monster appeared with a new mask, outfit, and music. The monster was reborn! Kane came down and beat the crap of the Un-Americans and they ran back to the locker room. A huge USA chant came around and the crowd went crazy. Booker T did a spin-a-roonie, while Kane then tried a Kane-a-roonie! In my book, it was one of the best returns in WWE history.

12. Shawn Michaels' Montreal Promo - August 15th, 2005
I've said once before and I'll say it again, a heel Shawn Michaels is money! Montreal is one of the best places for a hot WWE crowd! Montreal never moved on from 1997, they never moved on from the Montreal Screwjob! Just a week prior to this Raw, Shawn Michaels turned heel after giving a Sweet Chin Music to Hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart are Gods in Montreal and Shawn was diffidently the villain there. Shawn came out to some of the loudest boo's I have ever heard! Before he could say anything a large mixture of "You screwed Bret" and You screwed Hulk" chants filled out the arena in a very red hot Montreal crowd! Some of the first words to come from Shawn were "Oh Canada, how I hate this place. I'm gonna kick Hulk Hogan right in the face!" You almost couldn't even hear him talk because the crowd was so loud. But the best part of the whole segment was when he started talking about he screw Bret Hart over again if he had to. Then out of no where Bret Hart's music kicked on and the placed erupted! The speakers on my television were crackling because the crowd was so loud. The crowd was going crazy but only to realize that Shawn had tricked them and Bret was never there. "Got your hopes up just a little bit, didn't I?!" Shawn Michaels is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be! PERIOD!

11. Stone Cold Saves Team WWE - June 17th, 2001
This moment was awesome just due to the fact how stunners are involved. The Alliance had taken over and started beating down on the whole WWE roster. They were even fighting backstage and in the parking lot. As the fights were happening in the parking lot, Stone Cold pulls up in his trademark truck and starts to beat the crap out of everyone in the parking lot. He walks into the backstage area and continues to beat ass! They cut back to the ring where a huge brawl is still taking place. Then the glass shatters! Stone Cold comes out to a huge ovation! He starts to kick everyone's ass and then one by one stunners almost everyone in the ring! The greatest part about it was that every time he stunners someone, the crowd pops every time! And to cap it all off the Undertaker and Kane choke-slam wrestlers at the same time, as team WWE stood tall.

We are half way through the count down and I think we need a little intermission. So go check my boys on twitter @MarkinOut! Help them get to 5,000 followers and more! And subscribe to their awesome podcast, which is available through the iTunes store and www.Markinout.com (thumbs up:cool:)

Now back to the countdown to the top 10!

10. The Rock/Hulk Hogan Stare Down - March 18th, 2002
We would never see Tyson vs Ali, Jordan vs Lebron, Gretzky vs Crosby, Pele vs Messi but we did get to see Hogan vs Rock! Now, I never really liked Hulk Hogan but I respected him (same with Cena). He was the biggest thing in pro wrestling and it's really toss who the most popular was between Hogan, Rock and Stone Cold. Now, when the Rock came out to confront the Hulkster, he cut a great promo that was very true. Hogan headlined Wrestle Mania after Wrestle Mania. "How would you feel about headlining one more Wrestle Mania with the Rock?!" The crowd erupted and the had one of the best and most memorable stare downs I had ever witnessed. They looked around the crowd and the crowd still going nuts. A stare down between two icons, that I will never forget!

09. Chris Jericho Debuts - August 9th, 1999
The Rock was in the middle of cutting a promo, when out of no where the millennium countdown cut him off. As the clock ticked down to zero, the lights lowered into a different array of colors. Then, the lights go out and the arena is dark. A set of pryo goes off and music starts to play. And then on the screen the name Jericho appears and the crowds goes wild and Chris Jericho appears on stage doing his pose. "Welcome to Raw is Jericho!" He would go on to cut a classic promo with The Rock and was a great way to debut in the WWE!

08. Pillman's Got a Gun - November 4th, 1996
This has to be one of the most controversial if not the most controversial moment in WWE history! About a week before this moment, Stone Cold attacked Brian Pillman and broke his ankle. So on Raw, Brian Pillman was at home resting while Kevin Kelly was interviewing him. Pillman then shows that he is ready for Stone Cold if he shows up, by pulling out a gun! Pillman's family and friends were surrounding his house protecting him from Stone Cold. Stone Cold arrives at his house and starts to beat the crap out of Pillman's friends! Then Stone Cold proceeds to break into Pillman's home and as Stone Cold walks towards Pillman, Pillman points the gun towards Stone Cold and the feed gets cut. When they get the feed back on at Pillman's house, everyone thinks when Stone Cold saw the gun he left. But, Stone Cold comes running back in the house and yells "shoot me!" The people in the house push Stone Cold out, as Pillman continues to aim the gun at him! Truly a crazy moment in Raw's history!

07. WWE Buys WCW - March 26th, 2001
I will never forget the day I woke up and my Grandma showing me a article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch saying, the WWE buys WCW! The Monday Night War was over, one week before the best Wrestle Mania ever! I knew that this Raw was going to be special! Vince McMahon comes out and says he now owns WCW! At one point during the show Vince was on both Nitro and Raw. Vince wanted to sign a contract at Wrestle Mania saying he owns WCW. But Shane McMahon beat Vince to it and bought WCW! Thus, starting the Alliance angle.

06. Triple H Crashes a Wedding - November 29th, 1999
It was supposed to be a very special night for Test and Stephanie McMahon. But Triple H decided to crash the wedding. He told everyone that they might want to watch the tape he has set up for them. As the tape starts Triple H is driving down Las Vegas and showing all the great adult movie stores and wedding chapels around. He then pulls up to the Tunnel of Love. He proceeds to drive through and finally comes to a stop where a lady comes out a recognizes Triple H. She asks who do you plan on marrying and that's when he points over to a passed out Stephanie McMahon! The crowd sends out a shocked "OHHH!" Triple H was trying very hard to speed up the marriage process and acted like Stephanie wasn't passed out. "Get a nice shot of the new Hunter Hearst Helmsley!" As they cut back to the live crowd, Test is pissed and Stephanie is crying, while Triple H is smiling. "I know that you can only have one question on your mind, DAD! And that is, not did we but how many times did we consummate the marriage?!" This proved that Triple H was the best heel of this generation!

05. DX Forms - October 6th, 1997
To me DX began on this date. One of the greatest stables in the WWE started with a wedgie to Michael Cole by Shawn Michaels and Triple H. Shawn then proceeds to roll a clip from the Badd Blood PPV, but instead shows the infamous Curtain Call video. Showing how the heels hugged the babyfaces and Vince McMahon was not to happy about it. They took nothing seriously at all and were complete as*holes to everyone! "D-Generation X, you make the rules and we will break'em!" They would almost piss off everyone backstage, but in the end I think it paid off. If your not down with that, I got two words for ya...SUCK IT!

04. This is Your Life - September 27th, 1999
"Rock, this is your life!" The highest rated segment in Raw's history! Mankind thought it was the Rock's birthday, so he decided to throw a birthday bash for the Great One! Mankind would then to proceed to bring out random people from the Rock's past starting with the Rock's high school football coach, his teacher, and his high school sweetheart, which the Rock told all of them off! "Poo-tang your ass on out of here!" Mankind would proceed to give the Rock a sock with the Rock's face on it and called it Mr. Rocko! Then showed off the matching jackets they had and on the back it said the Rock N' Sock Connection. The Rock wasn't really enjoying any of it and finally told Mankind he's an idiot because the Rock's birthday was in May. It's still to this the highest rated segment ever on Raw with a 8.4 rating.

03. Pipe Bomb - June 6th, 2011
This is the greatest moment in the Cena/PG era! I always thought CM Punk was great on the mic, but this night proved me right! Punk's contract was coming to an end and he didn't one bit due to the way he had been treated. He then cut one of the if not the best shoot-promo of all time! He got a lot of things off of his chest that was very true! The best part about the whole thing was that he really felt that way about everything he was saying and what happened?! He became so big that he had to resign with WWE or he was stupid. "Maybe your just really good at kissing Vince McMahon's ass! Your as good at kissing Vince's ass as Hulk Hogan was!" He is so right about the Hulk Hogan comment, I just can't agree anymore! He brought attitude back to attitude-less WWE! "I'd like to think this company would be better after Vince McMahon is dead. But it's gonna get taken over by his idiotic daughter and doo-fus son-in-law and the rest of his stupid family!" And just by saying that he became...THE BEST IN THE WORLD!

02. Beer Bash - March 22nd, 1999
To me this moment was the "I'm on the top of the world moment and there's no one that can stop me!" Stone Cold reached the top of the wrestling world and this was the moment that showed he was coolest thing in wrestling. "If your ready for Wrestle Mania, give me a hell yeah!" Stone Cold comes out driving a Coors Light beer truck that almost took down the titantron. The crowd is going nuts and Stone Cold cuts one of the best promos he had ever done. He then proceeds to spray Vince, Shane and Rock with beer! The crowd goes even crazier and to me it was one of the best ways to hype up a Wrestle Mania! Truly was Stone Cold's best moment and he was on top of the world there.

And now it's time for the number one moment in Raw's history

Katie Vick!
Ok. Ok. I'm just busting your balls

The real number one is....

01. Mankind Wins the WWE Championship - January 4th, 1999
"Mick Foley is going to win their World Title, ugh! That's going to put butts in seats." Well you little arrogant cocky as*hole, it did! Right as Tony Schiavone announce the spoilers on Nitro almost 600,000 viewers the channel right away to Raw! In my eyes this creates the single greatest moment in the history of Monday Night Raw! The best part about it was the live crowd. The crowd was ok to start the match but the end was crazy! Not to mention pretty much every big star in the WWE was apart of it besides the Undertaker. Mankind, The Rock, Stone Cold, DX, and Vince McMahon were all apart of it! The Rock was the champion and Mankind the underdog. The Rock had the Corporation on his side and Mankind had DX on his. The two wrestle for about ten minutes when hell brakes loose outside of the ring, as DX brawls with the Corporation. Then we all the glass shatter and the crowd erupts like none other! Stone Cold comes out and hits Rock over the head with a chair and makes Mankind pin the Rock. Thus, making Mankind the new WWE Champion! The crowd still going crazy wild, Stone Cold flips off Vince and walks away. While Mankind and DX celebrate in the ring for one of the most feel good moments in the history of not only Raw but the WWE!
This is my opinion and what I've thought about for a while now. You may agree with what I have to say and some may be annoyed because I probably will ramble on like how I am now. Well that's just because the World Wrestli(whoops) I mean the WWE is just pissing me off now. (God forbid we say the word wrestlig on a wrestling show.) This is my first ever blog I have written so bare with me. Now let me drop a pipe-bomb.

About 20 years ago I watched my first wrestling match (and just to let you all know I turn 22 this year so I've been watching my life). It was the Wrestle Mania 6 main event between the Ultimate Warrior and the Immortal Hulk Hogan. As a kid the Ultimate Warrior I guess was my favorite because of the colors and blah blah blah. But it wasn't until Wrestle Mania 12, was where I got hooked. As a 5 year old my mom told me she bought it for me on ppv because it was the return of the Warrior. But at the end of that night, I didn't care about that match. Because of Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. The first match where I actually sat down and watched all the way through, my eyes glued to the tv. Ever since then wrestling has been my favorite thing to watch.

Throughout the years wrestling has evolved kinda like how it was with my life. The older I got the more attitude it got and so on. So I grew up with it. Then about a year and half later the attitude came full circle. The dawn of a new era that was gonna be so in your face that you didn't know was going to happen next. To me the Montreal Screw Job started was we all know and love as the Attitude Era.
<img src="http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/community/attachment.php?attachmentid=2540&d=1338684689&thumb=1" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version.
The Attitude Era was the best thing wrestling has ever gave us. But how?! How could something be so violent, sexual, and just flat so mature be so huge? Well any normal person would say BECAUSE ALL OF THOSE SELL!!!!!! At that time in the late 90's everything was about sex and rage! Look at who was popular in music then, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Kid Rock, etc etc. Music that made you wanna kill someone (Go to woodstock 99' and make everyone's life a living hell their). Jackass debuted on MTV that year as well as the Soprano's, & Family Guy. The Matrix, Fight Club, and Entrapment. All shows and movies either having to do with violence, offensive behavior or sexual themes. The Attitude Era was just plain golden at the time involving all of them. But let's go to wrestling reason's to why it worked so damn well.

1. SUPERSTARS!
The superstars of the Attitude era were amazing and may never happen again. We got Stone Cold Steve Austin, a beer drinking bad-ass that doesn't give a damn who you are, he will kick your ass. The Rock, a cocky, arrogant, larger-than life character that was so damn good on mic that you wanted him to just keep talking. Mr. McMahon, the huge heel that without him this would have never have happened, why? Because of Austin vs McMahon but we will get to that a little later. The Undertaker, we got introduced to a more darker creepier character that would formed a group called the Ministry of Darkness and he would then almost possess other wrestlers to join as if the Undertaker turned into the devil in this era. Mankind, a fear-less wrestler that would stop at nothing to put on the most brutal matches you will ever see. DX (Triple H, Shawn Michaels, X-Pac, Chyna, Road Dogg, & Billy Gunn), arugeably the most popular stable in wrestling history, (Besides the Horsemen of course, but hey I wasn't alive then so DX for me.) A group of degenerates running around not giving a sh*t what rule they break. Kurt Angle, the dorky arrogant Olympian, who thinks he's better than everyone else (he kinda was). Shane, Stephanie, and Linda McMahon; Vince's brat of a son, daddy's little girl and Vince's disapproved wife, they were labeled as TV's most dysfunctional family. The tag teams, then we had the New Age Outlaws, the Hardy Boyz, Edge & Christian, & the Dudley Boys. Four very popular tag teams of course but it's the Hardys, E&C, and the Dudleys that stand out because of the Tables, ladders and chairs. And of course the Divas. Sable, The Kat, Ivory, Terri, Jacqueline, Debra etc etc. Every time would come out we hear the King yell out "puppies!" and who didn't we like sex and boobs who doesn't?
<img src="http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/community/attachment.php?attachmentid=2538&d=1338684610&thumb=1" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version.
2. THE RIVALRIES!
No matter what wrestler there was every one of them had a rival, they had some story to why they hated each other. We had the Hardys vs Edge & Christian vs the Dudleys, some of the most crazy, just the most acrobatic stunts you will ever see. They were crazy! Triple H pretty much became the ultimate bad guy in 99'. His rivalries with Austin and Rock were epic. But the two that stand out in my mind as the best of the Attitude have to be between The Rock vs Mankind and Stone Cold vs Mr. McMahon. The reason I don't have The Rock vs Stone Cold is because The Rock was pretty much working for McMahon, so technically speaking its still Austin vs McMahon. Exception: WM 17. Anyway Rock vs Mankind were just great because it brought to life the Rock's character. These matches showed just how brutal but yet funny this guy can be. Very dark and very twisted. From the empty arena match, to their ladder match on Raw, the one match that stands out is the "I Quit" match from the 99' Rumble. So brutal and if any one has seen "Beyond the Mat", then it just makes it more brutal to watch but yet... It shows that Mankind will do anything to put on a show and he is bad-ass for that. Now Austin vs McMahon will go down as the best rivalry of all time in my book. I don't really wanna talk about it a lot because everyone already has and you know why it's the best in my book.

3. THE STABLES!
The groups just made everything better because let's face it, if this was real we all go to groups and watch each other's backs. DX was one of the first groups to form and they were the young guns that didn't care about rules or regulations they did things there way and sometimes in a very funny way. The Corporation, it was almost like a government or mafia trying to control everything and if things got out of hand, they beat the crap out of you and leave you. Ministry of Darkness, probably one of the coolest, most original, creepy just down right one of the most awesome stables ever in the WWE. Their leader The Undertaker would around a possess wrestlers to get them to do what he wants them do. Then we had the Corporate Ministry, combining the Corporation and Darkness to find out that Mr. McMahon was the higher power all along.

4. THE CROWDS
I'm gonna say anything but just the fact it didn't matter where they were at...they were f*cking nuts every where!

5. THE ATTITUDE!
The Attitude era worked because of it's brash attitude. We had Mankind fall through a cell, Sable having nothing but hand prints on her breasts, DX trying to invade WCW, Stone Cold throwing a beer bash or just plain kicking his bosses ass. Telling people to "suck it", giving the finger, saying "your gonna turn that son of a bitch sideways and sticking it straight their candy asses!" It worked because that's what people like! We like ATTITUDE! But then again...society was way different than now. But does that mean a great product like WWE has to change to?

PART 2 of my blog....

Why change something so great to something so eh, ok at best?! Now instead of having attitude we have wrestlers like Santino, Hornswoggle, :l Brodus Clay (which may have been a good character if Rikishi or the Godfather never wrestled), & Great Khail. Then we got these guys Randy Orton, John Cena, Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, Big Show, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, & The Miz. All of these wrestlers are committed to doing the same 5 things ever single match. Some of them I actually like, but how do go from guys like Mankind, Austin, Rock, Taker to these? They are all the same! Where's the characters? In other words where's the personalities? Where's the f*cking gimmick? The only wrestlers that I can think of off the top of my head with at least or personality or gimmick are: CM Punk, I mean damn he started a revolution last year and he could very well bring back attitude to the WWE. (hoping). Dolph Ziggler, probably one of the best wrestlers of this generation! Daniel Bryan, at first he was boring too! But then the "YES!" came. Just a simple little word changed him and the crowd is fun with him. Chris Jericho, maybe he shouldn't count but he's different from the Attitude form. Cody Rhodes, if the WWE isn't careful with him he will wind up like Dibiase. Hopefully the feud with Christian will help. Christian is another one who maybe shouldn't count because of the Attitude era. Wade Barrett, a rising star who I hope can gain back momentum when he returns. Kane made himself interesting again because he put back on the mask.

It's really pretty sad that the WWE can almost go from a full roster of exciting stars to a roster with about five wrestlers that have a personality. (not counting Y2J, Christian and Kane). I mean WTF! Hopefully Antonio Cesaro or Damien Sandow can save us and hopefully the WWE doesn't ruin them. Which brings me to my next topic Zack Ryder and Drew McIntyre. How do two guys with such potential, that can draw heat and pops just get ruined by dumb story lines that just ruin the character pretty much for their career. They both almost need new gimmicks now because WWE ruined them.

If the WWE really wants to improve well then bring back the sex, blood and attitude it really is that simple and you have the two most perfect wrestlers to lead the company into it...CM Punk and....John Cena. For f*ck's sake turn Cena heel and bring in the attitude! I would say it would bring ratings but honestly who knows. You can't blame ratings on Cena or Punk. You can blame it on the internet and DVR's. I mean they brought back the Rock and the ratings stayed the same. But yes your ratings will drop if you push the god damn BIG SHOW against John Cena a feud we saw TEN F*CKING YEARS AGO! Show, I'm sorry your time is up! Retire and move on. Just dumb to put Show and Cena as the main event when I think people would rather watch Punk and Bryan. But Show vs Cena?! ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME! That's terrible WWE! Then take the belt off of Bryan in 18 seconds at WRESTLE MANIA!?!?!? And give it to the boring Sheamus! Sorry I can't stand Sheamus.

The internet ruined wrestling! We didn't have it back in the day so we couldn't see spoilers or bitch about wrestlers. Wrestling fans are probably the most annoying and most hard to please fans in the world. CM Punk was becoming the next big thing and people gotta bitch about it when they wanted someone different than Cena. Wrestling fans will never be happy now that we have the internet. (Off topic for a min, Never go to WrestleZone.com! Your freedom of speech will get taken if you speak your mind. They run that website like children. They can't take it if someone puts them in their place like how I did one day so blocked me hahaha. They probably can't take the heat because they were the nerds in high school that got shoved into lockers.) But anyway don't be a bully be a star ;)

I just don't understand how this company fell so far. But Punk was half right, this company will be better once Vince is dead. Hopefully then Triple H can put attitude back into the company he helped just by telling people to "suck it!" I just don't understand what's holding them back from the great violent place of what wrestling used to be.
