OK. This had been on my mind for a while now.

1st of all. I hear a lot of people giving Raw a bad wrap for then 3-hour Raw shows, and I disagreed with them for a while. I always loved the big shows, because WWE usually know how to put them on. But after watching Raw last night for 20th Anniversary of the "longest episodic show on Monday nights", I physically felt sick from it, because will all the hype from the hopeful rumors that HBK, Austin, and Undertaker returning and seeing superstars from the past 2 decades got me so pumped, but then we get bullshit. Now, I missed the 1st hour, but I seen the Foley, and SHIELD thing happen, and basically, I knew that was the only thing I needed to know, it pretty much set the mood for the rest of the show, where there was no one else but Rock and Foley carrying that show. No other appearances, no promos with legends, just Flair, and the funniest thing about that Miz TV interview was Flair's, "I got 4 ex-wives, brother. I need the job." It was as fun as a stale show can get. With one main event happening and then handicap over the top rope squash challenge(Of how fast Sheamus could squash 3MB). Kaitlyn winning the title. Are we to believe one main event and one advertised match was suppose to make it a huge show? the last big 3-hour show I like to remember was 2005's Raw Home Coming on October 3rd. The night Kurt Angle fought Shawn Michaels in a 30-minute Iron-man match to be the first match of the night. Then a Pink Slip Ladder match between Edge and Matt with the loser leaving Raw. A SmackDown! 6-man tag main event. And I forget what Cena did, meh, don't care to remember. And especially the highlight of the night, of Austin stunnering not one, not 2, not 3, but 4 McMahons! That was h8ilarious, shocking, and took the damn cake for the night. That set the standard for 3-hour shows. Somehwere along the line, WWE, back in 2006, I realized those were heading down hill because there was that one Raw that promised a first ever 30-man battle royal where everyone started in the ring, and promised a WWE Title shot. Which Edge won, then failed in a cage match due to DX, then a main event of Edge, Cade & Murdoch vs Cena & DX. Now, nothing else really caught my eye, and I realized that this show wasn't worth it. And the 1000th Raw was cool, that was a good one, but I can't believe WWE really dropped it that night. Not even King's misguided, non-inspired commentary couldn't even make it huge, JBL made it watchable.

Which brings me to my second point. Jerry the King Lawler. Now, I listened to this man all my life watching Raw, he was funny, and especially hilarious when he would chant for the heels. His once in a while matches were cool and entertaining. Him and JR made Monday Nights great. King was awesome when he'd cheer for the puppies, wanting to check on the Divas when they got hurt, "Uncle Jerry", JR would call him, and being the voice of the heels, not in a rotten way, but in a comedic tone that made you chuckle no matter what. The perfect funny man to the straight man. Oh such memories. But then, JR got fired, King was joined by Joey Styles and Coach, then it all started. King had no straight man to bounce off great commentary, and so he had to pick up the slack in cheering for the good guys and being the voice of reason. This I did not to like. And Cena started his momentum for with the title and he wasn't going anywhere, and Good 'ol JR wasn't returning anytime soon. So was ended up losing what we grew up hearing, Uncle Jerry became Jerry "Yes Man" Lawler. Who was told to make Cena the biggest star possible big himself, and to make every declining Raw show, the best anyone has ever seen. This sticks to now, everything Jerry says, just doesn't have that magic anymore, every time he goes crazy over a diva, it's because of all her hard work, and every time he mentions a heel, he drops their entire accomplishments, just to call them a "Meanie" for the kiddies. Every time he laughs, it's because what John Cena said that's suppose to be funny, again, making him the best superstar ever. I now hate Jerry "Yes Man" Lawler, And it really was a knife forever twisting when he turned on Punk by saying, "Punk has turned his back on the WWE Universe." I lost all respect for King when he said that. Not because Punk pointed it out that is disrespected him, but he was so quick to say it as soon as Punk hit The Rock. Like Jericho was suddenly the good guy at WrestleMania, that Johnny Ace was just doing his job and Punk was the trouble maker, that everything he said about his career went out the window. That Punk kept his title by only the means of "Cheating" and "Underhandedness" and that he doesn't deserve it anymore. And not to bash Jerry's career, he had great matches and he definitely gave Punk and Miz a run for their money, but he would turn around and say John Cena is better than he ever was in the ring and on the mic. It is just so annoying to listen to him degrade himself every night for what ever idiot is telling him to be the straight man on commentary. Back in 06 and 07, I couldn't stand JBL, and now I welcome him, not in spite of Jerry, but because he brings originality to the commentary, he doesn't have the job to suck on John Cena's dick via headset every week, he can say good things about Cena, but he doesn't over-exaggerate it like King. King always finds a way to take everything a competitor has ever done JUST to say they are bad guys, example, back in December, SHIELD destroyed RyBack, Kane, and Bryan in a HELLacious TLC match, and King said something about the numbers game, but JBL kept pointing out the sides are even and they dominated because they were a team. Apparently King forgot about that, and declared last night on Raw, that, "The SHIELD don't like prefer to have the odds even." Like they were cowards, how can you say that about 3 young guys who beat 2 former World champions and monster on even grounds? well congrats King, you idiot, you took away these guys' potential from the eyes from every fan who listens to your blind commentary. I know SHIELD will bounce back, but King's an idiot for not even acknowledging that match ever again. But he'll still remember jobbing to Cole at WM27, he'll always love to say that's a "moment". Makes me sick to hear him. Of course, I won't go as far to wish another heart attack on him, that's low, I am glad he pulled through and wish him good health and hope he's good to put on another good few matches in the future. Long live the King.

Now, Attitude Era, WWF days were the best, Attitude Era gave us so many memories and I still love it, even to the point I don't need no stinking DVD to tell me how good it was, that I have enough of a collection at home to watch whenever I want. I'm sure the DVD is good, but I don;t need it, all I'm saying. Now, WWE is now in the PG Era.(2006-now) I say 2006, even though it was still TV-14, but DX really made it too kiddie for me and John Cena's momentum really picked up. Now WWE is counting on it too damn much to move forward. pretty sums it up. This really started to pick up after John Cena injured himself and was replaced by RyBack, then Punk got injured and at TLC, but now Vince is scared that the ratings are going down because they don;t have enough big stars again, so he brings in Rock, was Stone Cold, Triple H, HBK, Undertaker to make appearances and bring them back for ratings, but it's not going to work as he hoped. These guys are retired, and Vince built John Cena too much over the span of 10 years that they haven't got much great talent to grow, he used HHH, HBK, Angle, to all job to Cena for him to be a big star, but now they are gone and Vince is stuck with injury-prone Superman. But back to Attitude Era, WWE counted on this too many times for fans to love it, that I am am getting sick of Rock, HBK, HHH, Lesnar doing what they always due and obviously WWE is too, because you see them doing the same thing over and over again, How many times are gonna see a Rock Concert? I really hope that's the last one, I'd love to see Rock wrestle, but WWE doesn't want that, and that's why we like seeing them, in hopes we'd get to see a match with any of them. But now they have become "exclusive" where the only way to see them in matches is on heavily advertised PPVs and only hear them talk and talk and talk. I understand that some are retired or old or their injuries have taken a toll on them, but quit looking back and think we are gonna follow and still watch the wrestling matches that make us say, "meh". That's not good business sense, "Come for the legends, stay for the wrestling by guys we don't want you to pay too much attention too because we want you to love Cena...by the way, love him yet?" that's what I see every Monday night when promising a "greatest show all year" as the Yes Man calls every single one. We love the attitude Era, but not too much, c'mon, YOU still have a future to look after.

Even go as far to say, I don't want to see Rock again, HBK, Undertaker, HHH, DX, any Legends, not even Stone Cold, I'd rather see CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Wade Barrett, Alberto Del Rio, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Antonio Cesaro, RyBack, Langston, R-Truth, even Miz, all come into their own to become all carry the torch, too bad WWE put all the Attitude Era guys against Cena, that's why seems to be the big star and none of these guys move. Randy Orton and John Cena's times are running out, I can feel it, ever since 2011 when Cena's lost his "boosting younger talent" touch.

And that was burning on my mind this week. See yah next time, and thank you for reading this.

OK. After seeing a few fantasy match cards, allow me to remind or educate you on WWE WrestleMania logic. Now, every year, WWE puts on the "Biggest show of the year", "The Grandest stage of them all," "The Pinnacle of Sports Entertainment"....WrestleMania, and we watch in anticipation of what's gonna happen, and every year, they give us something to cheer about, and talk abut the next day and weeks and even months. And it never fails to give us something memorable to call it a WrestleMania. And here's some reasons why:

1st, WWE has been on top for a long time, and ever since the first Mania, they have bet their bottom dollar on it every year, that's why it's so huge! (Probably not literally all their money but you know) And they have to go big, every year it's March to April, and they have to make huge decisions before the big show(not Paul Wight) that means they must push young guys, in the middle of the year. to get them ready so they can be show cased. To get all the big names ready and young talent to get over, sometimes I think WWE forgets about this due to WretleMania 27. But This is why WWE does pre-planning from the end of one Mania through the entire year, and mainly the plans start in the fall, to establish stars for the big match they will have, the payoff to the planning. preparations start back, but not too obvious, like where Santino Marella's Intercontinental Title reign was gonna beat Honky Tonk Man's, which was 64 weeks. and I wondered what they were gonna do with this build and calculated,(and I'm sure many others did too) how many weeks was it till Mania, and it was 32 weeks, halfway. So I assumed they were gonna have Honky return by Mania and have him face Santino. Now if WWE actually planned this or not, because a Legend can't beat a young guy and bury him and win a title on the biggest night of the year, so Santino would have to beat Honky Tonk Man as a stepping stone or something. This didn't happen due to Honky returning on Cyber Sunday, and Santina winning oh so retarded Miss WrestleMania battle royal(which took the spot of the Tag Title unification match because of Kid Rock's concert). So I guess what I am saying is, WWE has a possible plan with what's gonna happen at WrestleMania by NOW, and immediately assuming the matches or rivalries happening NOW are gonna be on the card of WrestleMania would be pretty predictable and disappointing.

2nd, The show's all about Getting your biggest names out there on that stage and making a match that could give off electricity the fans can feel, so that's what WWE does every year, that's why Undertaker was facing off against HBK & HHH for the past 4 years at Mania, because no one else as big can make the Undertaker's final matches meaningful, it is arguable that WWE could've built up Sheamus and Wade Barrett to face him, but the HBK thing ran a little too well for anyone else to face him in 2010, and the whole End of an Era Hell in a Cell needed building, so they fought at WM27. You gotta go with the right choices. I'm not saying create a multi-year WrestleMania story for it to go hell, I am saying, make it the biggest show every year, be all to end all, put the big names together, in a way that they haven't fought before or in a long time. And you can't waste matches by putting ALL your big names in one basket, it would've sucked if Vince put Austin & Rock against HHH at a WrestleMania match, or Undertaker, just like how putting HHH, Taker, & Lesnar in a triple threat match at WrestleMania would be a stupid idea, when those guys deserve to have one on one matches, and you could have one of them face off against an up and comer on the stage.

3rd, Sometimes WWE puts matches together with a story, and it sometimes kills the match potential, the prime example is the WWE Championship Match this year, we were all excited to see who was the "Best in the World" but the last minute change by Johnny Ace, adding if Punk was DQ'd, he'd lose his title, and that really brought my expectations down and set the mood that the long anticipated match wasn't gonna be the match was wanted to see. Sure it had it's moments, but it wasn't the show stealer we thought it was gonna be. And sometimes, the story works out, like the WM27 main event, the story was predictable that Miz was gonna face Cena, we knew Rock was the host to only set up for "Once in a Life Time" so why did the match happen? but then, the promo came on, Miz's career being well documented and really catching many by surprise, me anyway, and then the entrance happened...This is a WrestleMania main event, but then the match started and ended crudely on double count out. Rocky saves the night by doing what he was there to do, screw Cena out of the title. The story helps, and sometimes it doesn't, but one thing to remember, UFC puts matches that look good on paper, to see who could win the fight, why not that be the case in WWE? Batista & Taker had a kinda poor build, but the match was still bad ass on paper, because it was their 1st meeting, undefeated champion vs the streak, just that alone made WrestleMania 23 huge. Some matches are best left just one on one, a good story could be the rich topping to it. But if you gotta dig deep in a story to make it something that you want to be seen in high regard, then don't kill yourself over it. If I HAVE to emotionally invest in the match, then don't bother.
4th, see what's happening right now, look past what's gonna happen at the PPV, look past the hype and look what's happening now. See what WWE's really planning, CM Punk HAS to retain no matter what till Rumble to face Rock, and now, during the match, John Cena is gonna screw Rock out of the title, because Rock screwed him back in '11 to set up for the match. The clues are all there, John Cena's gonna face Rock at WrestleMania for the second time, because of the hype the DVD made, Cena's never lost in a rivalry as big as one with Rock, and how Rock is returning right before WrestleMania?....now, Rock vs Cena II's gonna happen, and the "Once in a Life Time" isn't a guarantee, you can argue all you want, it's only to sell the 1st match, and now it's gonna happen again, because Cena needs to beat Rock, no matter what. The plan's already in motion. How do I know Rock's gonna lose? because he can't be WWE champion again, Cena needs a reason to face him again. I may be sticking my foot in my mouth by doing this, but it's the truth. If Rock does beat Punk, then that means Cena's gonna be the WWE champion again...and it'll only make us hate him more. As you noticed recently, Cena's been losing in title matches, he's had the title too many damn times already, that it is CM Punk's time. This is why I think Punk's gonna retain till Mania, because they need the title on the line to make another main event, which would be the better thing to do.
Or, although, the rematch can happen at WrestleMania 30, because if they don't, I can't see Cena facing anyone worthy enough if he beat Rock, and if Punk faces Austin at Mania 29, and with Lesnar only having a one year deal, Taker will be getting inducted, HHH might have one more match, but that's it. What other main event can they make? Wow, WrestleMania 30 is not looking good.

So, in short, 1) Build up talent or stories to climax at Mania, 2)Don't put in matches because they are happening now, 3)Put your best matches together, 4) Don't put all you big names in one match, 5) Don't make ideas too obvious and think reasonably. 6) Spread your card out evenly so the guys people wanna see are in different, but good, matches.
That is all. Book your WrestleMania card not too damn obvious. Unless WWE does, then do what the hell you want.

P.S.: Just because WWE allows you to hear that Rock's returning by Rumble and or any other WrestleMania plans, doesn't mean you are smarter than WWE and that they are "predictable" it only means you took the bait, hook, line and sinker.

1st of all Greetings, 1st Wrestling blog, Thank you for reading this in advance. Grateful. Many things going through my mind when I think about wrestling this past week.

OK, What's 1st, the title says...Survivor Series tradition, Ok. As many of you already know, Survivor Series is at 6 or 7pm tonight on PPV, and I wanted to get my thoughts in on it before it happens. I hate how WWE treats this PPV like shit. Did you know they were planning to abolish the idea all together in 2010? They seriously were contemplating to get rid of it, and I cannot help but wonder what they were gonna replace it with. Survivor Series is one of the best PPVs to ever happen, fuck with "it's just another gimmick PPV," NO! It's history, and when the hell was someone gonna think of a better name than "Survivor Series" no one could, and Team vs Team was the greatest idea I ever heard in wrestling, two teams made up of wrestlers determined to win the match despite if they hated team members, it was all about survival. And what WWE does with it nowadays, the team vs team matches are just, "OK, it's in this year, shut up already! OK, what's Cena gonna do this year!" That's it. The PPV with the coolest name is just that.....the PPV with a name, means nothing. This year, Cena hd no match, and the coolest idea of a Survivor Series match that had a 3-hour RAW dedicated to it's build was thrown out the window because poster-boy didn't have a meaningful match and bad reviews from people. Bad reviews Vince? for the 1st time since 2006, you are finally listening to bad reviews to change something major? I'm not bashing the 3-way for the title, it has potential to shit happening, but instead of giving Mick Foley a new rivalry to start against Ziggler apparently, they should've thrown Mick into the main event as special guest referee. So now WWE has one main event, and the apparent obligated Survivor Series match for the year and Vinnie's happy. Cena vs Ziggler could've worked, but Cena wasn't in the main event. So yeah, have a happy thanksgiving from WWE Cena fans. The Survivor Series match does hae potential, may not be given a lot of time r anything, but I am happy Kane & Bryan are in the match, they have been the most original and watchable thing in WWE recently, along with Punk & Heyman, i guess, without the Cena thing anyway. It seems to have the time to have it. (with the Divas' match being on the card should be an indicator) And the World Title match Sheamow having a one on one, with their finishers as the ONLY build up, ..... might be good, i don't know, that's the best WWE writers can come up with with Vince's best men on Cena's next 5 year push, can ya blame them? It might only get 3 stars, at best.

I recently got curious on how the 2010 Old School RAW Tribute was. I missed it that year, forgot about it, but I watched it in all 15 parts on YouTube and was fucking amazed on how they kept everything true, from the stage to the ring ropes, to the graphics. even the old school logo was present. WWE Legends, Mene Gene with the little stage with steps in front of the crowd, JR commentary on a great Bryan/Swagger match, Mark Henry dawning his Sexual Chocolate gear with his music, topping it off with Piper's Pit and many more. I loved every second of it, that was until Michael Cole was reminded to be an asshole after the WM27 promo came on, and he had to begin his conversion to the little asshole that got fans annoyed enough to build buys into the shitty Mania match, and ruined the good feeling of JR's commentary and the rest of the show. But this happens in the last hour of 3. This was a really nice change from the overly hyped feeling the new stage gives us, hate that feeling of"This looks expensive, so let's invest and make an effort to TRY to think of it as a good show".

Now, WWE '13, if you haven't gotten this game yet, or at least tried it, get it or try it NOW! it is fun as hell, maybe not as great game play as the 2002-2005 games, and you will have to mark out to enjoy the shit out of it, but it still, it's a good buy. I never thought I would enjoy it, but would try it out due to half the roster being attitude era. Well, he got it, and we had a freaking 4 hour blast with it. No story mode or anything, just plain old exhibition matches, which saw Mike Tyson(CPU) defend the WWE Title against CM Punk(My Punk-Mark friend) and Stone Cold Steve Austin(Me) in an "EPIC" triple threat match.(NOTE: I use EPIC as a term because you have to choose it as a match setting in order to have a mark-out match) which saw Austin and Tyson beat the hell out of Punk majority of match, just for Mike to watch Punk pin Austin for the pinfall, and become his new manager. Then a MITB PG vs Attitude match took place for a case, which Kevin Nash(my friend) won, and a PG vs Attitude Chamber match, Which DDP(Me) dominated most of the match just for Jericho(my Friend) to kick out of everything DDP threw at him and pull out the victory. a 4-man battle royal took place for Undisputed Title with WWE Champ Punk(Mr Friend) and World Champ Sheamus(Me) defend against Nash & Y2J, which ended with both of us getting our finishers and me hitting Brogue kick from nowhere(my fluke) but for Punk to kick out and get the GTS set up just for me to unexpectedly reverse it for another Brogue for the win. Then we had a Survivor Series match Team Punk(Punk, Brock, Rock) vs Team Sheamus(Sheamus, Bret Hart, & Brodus Clay) with Brock eliminating Brodus, and gettin DQ'd by hitting bret with chair. Bret getting DQ'd by not obeying ref. 2 on 1, with Punk tagging in and out getting cheap shots to stay fresh. Rock putting Sheamus through table, and getting Rock Bottomed, Sheamus was able to survive and beat the Rock with Celtic force for the pin. After reversing Punk's attempts, the bloody Sheamus was finally put to sleep. The rivalry would end in Hell in a Cell for the WWE Title, with Punk's newest game set Ally, Mike Tyson as referee. Sheamus threw Punk off Cell onto announce table, then put through top of Cell, through Sheamus' yearning to punish Punk some more, aimed for the top of the cell again, just for Punk to shove him into the hole of the cell and pull out a victory with the fast count by Tyson. Sheamus lost by Punk's best in the world heel ways with Tyson in his corner, and a great rivalry ends. Sorry to describe it all, but it was epic as fuck. Better than anything WWE has made this year, except for Taker/HHH & Rock/Cena.

Those were my thoughts and week, hope you enjoy your Sunday, and don;t forget to check out the results of what happened at Survivor Series whether throughout the evening or on Monday, unless you truly want to risk spending money on it, it might be decent ending.

(P.S. I chose Brodus Clay on my team because my friend's wife loves him and I had to stick to that WWE mentality of putting guys that everyone hates in a huge match just for my friend to inflict pain on and eventually make a mistake through all his anger. meh, it made Sheamus look like the true underdog surviving everything thrown at him)
