When I say the name John Cena most of you will either applaud or boo loudly. JC is one of the most polarizing figures in wrestling today. So to mention his name with one of wrestling's most beloved figures seems crazy. Right? Not in my opinion and I'll tell you why.

1. Marketability - Though many people hate him, his merchandise sells. Kids look up to him. He has transcended wrestling. Even if you're not a wrestling fan, many people know the name John Cena. Yeah, he has a 50/50 record with movies but Hogan wasn't a movie star yet he is a pop icon.

2. Charisma - Though many haters won't like it, John Cena is a great talker but an average wrestler. Hulk Hogan had two or three signature moves but his talking made up for his lack of skill in the ring.

3. Super Strength - Hulk Hogan had many matches with people we all know should've beaten him (Andre the Giant?) yet Hogan somehow found the strength to overcome overwhelming odds. The same with John Cena. Cena always finds a way to win even it is by the most unbelievable means. The Summerslam match with Nexus is a great example of this.

4. Franchise Player - Hulk Hogan was the franchise player for WWE for many years during the Golden Age of wrestling in the 80's. The Rock took the mantle for a while in the 90's now it's Cena. John Cena is the face of the WWE which has built a well oiled machine around him.

5. Catch Phrases - Love, Loyality, and Respect, Don't Give Up, all of these phrases cater to kids and their parents just like Hulk Hogan's Eat your vitamins and Say your Prayers were in the 80's.

For those of you wishing he'd go away, Super Cena's going to be around for years to come as long as WWE is making money from him.

Hey Everyone!

Watched the Whole F*in Show over the weekend and it was in the Miz's language awesome. Best TNA show of the year so far.

What Worked:

1. Less Talking more Fighting - TNA has done what they should have been doing for months, let their wrestlers, wrestle. All of the matches were good but there were some surprising MVP's.

2. Longer Matches - This allowed each wrestler to show off their athleticism and talent without the stupid storylines that normally constrain them.

3. More AJ Styles - The beginning match between AJ Styles and Kirk Angle was simply great. It reminds us of why AJ Styles is so good and why he doesn't need fortune.

Who Should've been on the show. In no particular order:

1. Desmond Wolfe - I'm not sure what TNA is doing but relegating Desmond Wolfe to the side lines is a bad idea. He's a great heel and a good wrestler.

2. Samoa Joe - What the hell! Samoa Joe is getting screwed by TNA. I can't believe he wasn't on the show. He should've had a match with Jeff Hardy. Their match a few weeks ago was great.

3. An X Division Match - Perhaps some sort of battle royal or X Division Championship Match. The X Division(except for MCMG and AJ Styles) weren't on the show.

4. Sting - Why wasn't "The Stinger" on the show? he comes back a few weeks ago in black makeup and disappears again? Come on? I like him as a heel beating up everyone.

MVP'S in no particular order:

1. Shannon Moore - Shannon showcased the talent and promise that he has to be a main eventer in TNA. His match against Jeff Hardy was great, and I believe his talent was overlooked in his last go around in WWE. I hope that TNA realizes that Shannon Moore would make a great X-Division Champion.

2. AJ Styles - AJ always manages to dazzle as he puts his heart and soul in every match. His match with Kirk Angle was a perfect opening match.

3. Fortune - Though I hate this group with a vengeance as it wastes the talents of AJ Styles and Beer Money, they did liven up a boring closing sequence as EV2 again appeared on the program. The beat down was bloody violent and did harken back to the old ECW days.

4. Motor City Machine Guns - Their innovative moves in the 2 out of 3 falls match made for the best match of the night.

5. Beer Money Inc. - Keeping up with MCMG is hard work but Beer Money did a great job and added to their legacy. I would've been happy if either team won. This best of 5 series was great and showcased tag teams that I hope will fight each other for years to come.

Questions:

1. In the closing sequence, Hogan disappeared as EV2 was being attacked. Is he a secret member of Fortune? Did he set EV2 up?

2. Who is the "they" that Abyss keeps talking about. Is there a they? Is he as crazy as he seems?

3. What did you think about RVD's "attack"? Too bloody? Unbelievable?

4. Which match did you think was the best of the night? Which was the worst?

Discuss Among Yourselves!

BTW - Hope you all caught Summer Slam. Daniel Bryant is back Baby!

The State of TNA

I'm not gonna hate on TNA like most people. I think TNA started off well, a six-sided ring, a great X-Division, a unique women's knockout division. People leading the company who could be major players (Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe). Then it made the one mistake that it is still making...trying to be like WWE, WCW, and now ECW.

WWE is a multi-million dollar company and yes, though many of you will hate me saying this, TNA is way too far behind the times to beat WWE. I thought things were beginning to change with the additions of Jeff Hardy, Ken Anderson, and Rob Van Dam. They had enough "star power" to begin to be taken seriously. They stopped focusing on the the old washed up wrestlers and let the young guys take the lead. Then they took four steps back and brought in the ECW hasbeens. Look, I'm not an ECW hater but WWE tried to bring back ECW and we are know what a disaster that was. ECW is dead and TNA is not going to have any better luck resurrecting it. TNA had a PPV totally dedicated to the old ECW. Isn't that crazy. You paid loads of money to buy former WWE superstars and you have an ECW PPV?

Here is what TNA needs to do to get back in game:

1. Get rid of the dead weight. Fire Eric Young, Tommy Dreamer, Mick Foley, and Hulk Hogan. A leaner meaner TNA means that all the younger talent will be showcased and that will bring in the money for the company.

2. Stop trying to compete with WWE!! TNA will never be WWE nor should they be. TNA should stop trying to resurrect old companies that failed in the past and focus on creating their brand

3. Bring back the knockout division stop having TBP be the stars. Bring Kong and ODB back. Have Taylor Wilde and Daffney start fighting again. Their fight with Absyss and Dr. Stevie in Monster's Ball was great! Sorry to be harsh but TNA is never going to have prettier women than WWE, but they can have the toughest, hardest women wrestlers that people will pay to see.

4. LET SAMOA JOE LOOSE! Yeah, he's been suspended but so what? He's one of the best wrestlers in TNA and he's been relegated to the sidelines. I want the vicious Joe who faught Kirk Angle back.

5. STOP MAKING AJ STYLES INTO RICK FLAIR JR. AJ is one of the best wrestlers in the world today. His work ethic and talent are endless. TNA should let him run with the ball for a while and stop being Rick Flair's lackey. AJ doesn't need to be in "Fortune" he is fine by himself. Rick Flair's best days are done, he needs to retire but sadly can't as he needs the money. He's just a caricature of himself. Pretty sad really.

6. Pick a path and stay the course. TNA is just throwing "hail marys" seeing whatever sticks. TNA has no clear direction for their storylines and it shows.

7. For the Love of God no more invasion storylines. The Frontline storyline sucked, the only good thing was MEM, which should've never been disbanded. I loved King Bookah, Scotty Steiner, Kirk Angle, and Kevin Nash. Rumor is there is an ECW invasion storyline in the works. WWE is doing it better with Nexus a bunch of young hungry wolves. Seeing a bunch of washed up ECW wrestlers limping up and down the ring (yeah I'm talking about Mick Foley!) doesn't interest me.

TNA has all the tools to succeed if they start using their young talent and start building on their brand. Here are some people that can help them build their brand in no particular order.

1. Desmond Wolfe
2. The Pope
3. Samoa Joe
4. AJ Styles
5. Ken Anderson
6. Homicide
7. Generation Me
8. Tyler Wilde
9. Hamada
10. Jeff Hardy
11. Rob Van Dam
12. Sarita
13. Motor City Machine Guns
14. Beer Money
