I've been thinking a lot since the death of one "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and it made me think of who exactly could be said as the "Macho Man" of the 10's. Now before the bashing begins let me say that when I say the "Macho Man" of today, I don't mean in character comparison I mean in company position.

That thought made me think of all the other stars of the 1980's and the stars of today. The following is my comparisons:

"Macho Man" Randy Savage=Randy Orton (LET THE HATE BEGIN!) I want you to think back to the WWF 1980's. Macho Man was the WWF's #2 Face. There are some people that would argue that he was the #1 Face at one time, and those arguments are valid ones, but no matter which way you spin it Hulk Hogan was always the #1 Face of the WWF. Even when Randy held the title it was focused around Hogan. The same can be said about Randy Orton. The guy is the face of Smackdown (the #2 brand) and even when he was on RAW as the WWE Champion it was John Cena who was main eventing PPV's. Back in the 80's you were either a fan of Hogan or Savage or both. Today's audience is the exact same. Some kids love Orton some love Cena or some love both.

Hulk Hogan=John Cena Do I need to go into detail on this one? Or is it cool if I just leave it be? WWF 1980's Hulkamanics WWF 1990's Steve Austin's....rebels? rednecks? WWE 00 Chain Gang.

Roddy Piper=CM Punk Two of the greatest TALKERS of their times, but could still on any given day get in their and tear it up. I feel that CM Punk is like Hot Rod in the sense that he could be at the bottom of the card and then randomly just jump into the main event and be a serious contender. If the internet was around in the 1980's we'd be complaining about Hot Rod not being WWE Champion just like we complain about CM Punk not being champion. (I'd like to say that this is based soley on company position NOT CHARACTER! Miz would be the character equivalent of Hot Rod)

Jimmy Snuka=Rey Mysterio Two awesome high flyers that the company can throw in the main event of a show and still sell it out without making THE champion. I think that in the 1980's Superfly was arguably the #3 or #4 face of the company. Neither man HAS to be in the main event but no matter how far down the card they get they can just FLY (bad pun) back up the ladder and everybody will cheer.

Ted DiBiase Sr.=Alberto Del Rio I think these two guys are similar in character and position. I think right now ADR is just floundering a little, having random matches with random folks waiting for his opportunity to break out. Ted DiBiase was a lot like that too. Sure he main evented sometimes, but if you look at it he never really had great FEUDS between himself and anybody. None that I can think of.

Ricky Steamboat=Christian Steamboat was known for being able to have an amazing match with ANYBODY and make it a classic, yet Vince never really looked at him as World Champion material. Unfortunately we all know that had Edge not retired...Christian wouldn't have won the World Title, BUT Vince can always count on Christian's match to be awesome and steal the show (Have you seen his match with RKO at OTL?!).

Andre The Giant=The Undertaker In the 1980's Andre was looked at as the end all be all of the WWF. No matter what he did, whether it was winning a body slam contest against BJS at WM 1 or making Hulk Hogan at WM 3 Andre was IT. He was looked at as a guy who could make stars along with the locker room leader. If Andre didn't want something to happen, it didn't. If somebody was out of line (Warrior) he took care of it. Undertaker is the same way. Undertaker does EXACTLY what HE wants, and if somebody has a problem in the locker room it's his unofficial duty to put them in line. There's a story about when the NWO came in 2002 Y2J went to UT and asked him for advice. UT told him that there wouldn't be any BS cuz he wouldn't allow it.

Ultimate Warrior=Kofi Kingston This may be a little early, only time will tell, but there was a time when Warrior was the #3 guy, and there was a time when Kofi was the #3 guy, it looked like both guys had promise, but then nothing came of it. Warrior may have won the WWF title from Hogan, but then what? Do you remember? Cuz I sure as hell don't. Same thing with Kofi (so far) he was really hot during his end of the year feud with Randy Orton a few years ago, but then he just fizzled out. A flash in the pan. Out of all of these I pray that this is the one I'm most wrong about.

That's how I see it...how do you?

So after watching the 3 Disc Top 100 Moments of Smackdown and the Top 50 Superstars of All Time I thought that I’d combine the two and make a list of the superstars that I felt had the biggest pushes of their careers on Smackdown and truly made a name for themselves, or started off on Smackdown and propelled themselves into greatness.

Brock Lesnar (2002-2004)- While Brock had a small run on RAW in early 2002 right after his debut, after winning the WWE title from The Rock at Summer Slam Brock became a Smackdown exclusive, having AWESOME feuds with The Undertaker, Big Show, Kurt Angle, Vince McMahon, and Hulk Hogan, in fact it was on Smackdown that Brock “retired” Hulk with a five minute bear hug. Lesnar’s final match on Smackdown was against Hardcore Holly in 2004. Lesnar’s impact on Smackdown is unforgettable with three of Smackdown’s greatest moments include him getting chokeslammed through the announce table by Big Show, wrestling Kurt Angle in an amazing 60-Minute Iron Man Match, and superplexing Big Show from the top rope and having the ring collapse. Brock Lesnar was a 3 time WWE champion, King of the Ring Winner, 2003 Royal Rumble winner, and 1 time UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Eddie Guerrero (2002-2005)- Eddie may have already been a known name around the world in the eyes of professional wrestling fans, but it was on Smackdown that Eddie Guerrero became a household name. After a short feud with Ric Flair on RAW, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Beniot jumped to Thursday Night Smackdown, it was there that Eddie dived into one of the feuds of 2002 with Edge facing him in an amazing Street Fight on Smackdown. From there Eddie won the tag titles with his nephew Chavo and Tajiri, along with becoming the first WWE United States Champion in 2003 by beating Chris Beniot. In 2004 Eddie did the unthinkable and became the second person to jump ship from WCW to WWE and win the WWE title by beating Brock Lesnar. Eddie’s Smackdown career ended sadly in 2005 when he was found dead in his hotel room. His last match was against Ken Kennedy in 2005. Eddie’s impact on Smackdown was tremendous, his matches against JBL (04), Rey Mysterio (04,05), Edge (02), and John Cena (2003) are classics that should all be checked out. Eddie was a 1 time WWE Champion, 2 time Intercontinental Champion, 2 time European Champion, WWE United States Champion, 2 time WCW Cruiserweight Champion, 1 time WCW US Champion, and 4 time WWE Tag Team Champion.

John Cena (2002-2005)- He may be the face of the WWE today but there was a time when John Cena didn’t even have entrance music and came out in generic two toned colored tights. Cena came onto Smackdown in 2002 in one of the best debuts in recent memory against Kurt Angle. Cena may have lost his debut but he quickly made an impression on everybody in the WWE. After a couple of months of floundering around on Smackdown, it was in October of 2002 that the John Cena the fans got behind was born. During the Halloween episode of Smackdown John Cena laid down a free style rap that would spark his character of the Doctor of Thuganomics, coming out freestyling all the way down to the ring. By January 2003 John Cena was one of the most over superstars on the Smackdown roster. In 2003 he even got a WWE title shot against Brock Lesnar. Cena spent all of 2003 as a heel, facing Undertaker, Angle, and Eddie Guerrero. In 2004 Cena beat Big Show at Wrestlemania XX to win his first WWE US title. Cena would go on to feud with Big Show along with Booker T and Carlito throughout 2004 for the US title. In 2005 Cena ended the almost yearlong WWE title reign of JBL at Wrestlemania 21. Two months later Cena was drafted to RAW where he’s stayed since. It was on Smackdown that we as fans cheered for Cena when we were supposed to boo. When we thought he was amazing because he was new and fresh. Funny what 6 years can do yeah? John Cena is a 7 time WWE Champion, 3 time World Heavyweight Champion, 3 time WWE US Champion, 4 time WWE Tag Team Champion, 2008 Royal Rumble winner.

Matt Hardy (2002-2003) (2005-2008)(2009-2010)- This one probably has just as much groans as John Cena, but fear not dear reader as I have reason behind my madness. Let’s concentrate on certain parts of Matt Hardy’s Smackdown tenure. For starters, Matt Hardy as one half of the Hardy Boys was already a house hold name, but in 2002 while Jeff Hardy was fighting The Undertaker Matt Hardy jumped to Smackdown and it was there that I feel he made his biggest impact on WWE with his best gimmick to date…V.1111111111111111!!!!! Matt Hardy V.1! One of the most hysterical gimmicks of all time was Matt’s Version 1 gimmick. His awesome buffering entrance video, along with his Matt Facts on the side of the screen was priceless, his feud with Rey Mysterio, and Billy Kidman was great stuff. His three or four month attempt to lose weight to be a Cruiserweight is classic WWE comedy. Matt and his MF’er Shannon Moore were at one time one of the hottest pieces of Smackdown property. After, his jump to RAW, his firing, his hottest angle ever with Edge, in 2005 Matt Hardy lukewarmly returned to the blue brand. And though throughout 2006 he floundered a bit, in 2007 Matt Hardy was able to recapture our attention in a great year long feud with MVP over the United States title. It was in this year long feud that we found ourselves cheering for Matt Hardy, ready for him to win his first major singles title. Unfortunately this feud would be the last one of Matt’s that we cared about. Whether or not it was WWE Creative, or just Matt himself, 2007 and 2008 were the last times we PAID to see Matt Hardy. Hardy is a 1 time WWECW Champion, 7 time WWE Tag Team Champion, 1 time WWFWCW Tag Team Champion, 1 time WWE European Champion, 1 time WWE US Champion, 1 time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, 1 time WWE Hardcore Champion.

Rey Mysterio (2002-2008)- I’ll never forget where I was during Rey Mysterio’s Smackdown debut in 2002. I was eating dinner at my grandmother’s house and kept on “going to bathroom” to see his big debut finally in WWE. Rey Mysterio stayed on Smackdown for 6 years and it was during those 6 years that Rey Mysterio became one of the biggest names in WWE. It’s amazing how in WCW Rey couldn’t fight his way out of lower midcarder and yet in WWE his Cruserweight matches with Tajiri, Chavo Guerrero Jr, Matt Hardy, and many others were actually main events. It was on Smackdown Rey gave us amazing feuds with Eddie Guerrero, Batista, JBL, and so many others. Rey did end up getting moved to RAW in the 2008 draft but it wasn’t long before Rey Rey was back on Smackdown as only a year later he was back on the blue brand tearing it up with CM Punk and Cody Rhodes. Smackdown is where the WWE gave Rey his big break and made him a household name. Rey is a 2 time World Heavyweight Champion, 2 time WWE Intercontinental Champion, 4 time WWE Tag Team Champion, 3 time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, 2006 Royal Rumble Winner, 5 time WCW Cruiserweight Champion, 1 time WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Champion, 3 time WCW Tag Team Champion

Edge (2002-2004)(2007-2010)(2010-2011)- If anybody made Smackdown HIS brand in the past decade it was Edge. Even though it was on RAW that Edge won his first WWE Title it was on Smackdown that Edge cemented his legacy as a champion. In 2002 Edge was on his way to becoming a Main Eventer on Smackdown. His matches with Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho that year are some things that need to be seen to be believed. It was in 2003 that he suffered a legit neck injury (an injury that would actually force him to retire) that set him back a full year and sent him packing to Monday Night RAW upon return. His Smackdown return was just as shocking as ever as he attacked the World Champion Undertaker after a grueling Cage match with Batista. It was here that Edge became the face of Smackdown. Edge battled any and all comers to his World Title. Batista, Kane, Rey Mysterio, and The Undertaker himself. Edge main evented WM 24,WM26, and WM 27 under the blue banner, and was the focal point of the show for the longest time. Edge retired from active competition in 2011. Edge was a 7 time World Heavyweight Champion, 4 time WWE Champion, 5 time WWE Intercontinental champion, 1 time WCW US Champion, 12 time WWE World Tag Team Champion, 2 time WWE Tag Team Champion, 2001 King of the Ring Winner, Mr. Money in the Bank 2005, and 2010 Royal Rumble winner.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST

The Undertaker (2002-Current)- The Undertaker had already been in the WWE for 10 years by the time the WWE Brand Extension rolled around, so to say he was a household name is an understatement, Undertaker was practically the glue that held the fans from that era into the Attitude Era into the Invasion into the Brand Extension all the way up to today. Yeah Undertaker started off on RAW but in August of 2002 Undertaker found himself on the blue brand and has stayed there ever since. He’s been the foundation for Smackdown since his arrival acting as the standard bearer for everything on the brand. Every name you’ve already read on this list has battled The Deadman in an effort by WWE Creative to get them over. Even more names though have battled Undertaker while on the blue brand including: The Dudley Boyz, A-Train, Big Show, Booker T, Jeff Hardy, Triple H, Vladmir Kozlov, and more. The Undertaker’s days are coming to a close though as Wrestlemania 28 will probably be the last stand. Undertaker is a 3 time World Heavyweight Champion, 4 time WWE Champion, 1 time Hardcore Champion, 6 time WWE Tag Team Champion, 1 time WCW Tag Team Champion, 2007 Royal Rumble Winner.

In the mist of R-Truth becoming the #1 Contender the ENTIRE IWC is a buzz. Some folks like it cause it's new and a shock and think Ron deserves it. Other folks think that it's bull and that he's a piece of crap and that other guys deserve his spot. Other guys like...John Morrison.

Now before I start this let me first say: I'm a huge JoMo fan. Since he won Tough Enough 3 (you guys remember that?) I've been a HUGE fan, and I have been waiting for him to make his big break. Even though his performance on the very first RAW of 2011 was awesome, I still don't think he's ready to hold the big one.

1.) Starship Painful to Watch
Let's all be real guys, John Morrison has not hit Starship Pain in forever. He always brings his opponent too close to the turnbuckle, I'm not exactly sure if he's afraid of hitting his opponent too hard with the momentum or w.e the case is but he barley catches them with his arms, and it's getting to the point where the announcers can't ignore it anymore. RVD used to do the exact same split legged moonsault without the spinning and he nailed it perfectly. Speaking of RVD that brings me to another point.

2.)Flying Finisher
There have been 40 WWE Champions since 1963. In that entire time there have been exactly FOUR WWE Champions whose finishers were something off the top. Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, Eddie Guerrero, and Randy Savage. 4 out of 40. Vince obviously doesn't like the top rope finishers for his WWE Champions, not to mention Hardy and Eddie could win with other moves besides their finishers. (Twist of Fate/Three Amigos) Morrison used to use the Moonlight Drive along with The Flying Chuck (Springboard Enziguri) as finishes but to me he needs to establish a new finish, or stop being afraid to hit people with the Starship Pain. Look each and everyone of those guys on the main WWE roster has been beaten up AT LEAST once, and can take a hit, so he needs to just hit them with it.

3.)Melina
It's common knowledge that the two have been together since their days on Tough Enough 3, and it's also common knowledge that she's kinda the locker room.....hussy. (We'll keep it PG since this IS a WWE blog) And it's also common knowledge that Morrison just lets her sleep with whoever and even accompanies her on dates with other dudes. Vince McMahon likes a fighter, somebody that will stand up to him and tell him to fuck off. (read Chris Jericho's Undisputed for more details) John Morrison obviously doesn't have the balls to tell Batista to get his hands off of his women, so to think he will stand and look Vince McMahon in the eye and tell him to fuck off is WAY BEYOND comprehensibility..

5.)Character
You know when Morrison was in ECW and won the title and changed his name to Morrison, I was pretty ecstatic, his gimmick at the time was actually pretty froot (read Chris Jericho's Undisputed for more details) and creative. His "Shaman of Sexy" and "Palace of Wisdom" I thought was awesome stuff. His current gimmick this "Prince of Parkour" stuff is kinda lame. Not in ring wise, hell in ring I think it's awesome. His stint in the Rumble was pure gold. It's his out of ring stuff that is completely lacking. His lack of mic time and skills are what I think is the main thing holding him back. In fact, I think that's why he's now the Marty of MizMo. Miz has got amazing mic skills, hell he always has verbally he carried MizMo, but Morrison always carried it in the ring. They are kinda ying and yang, which is why I think they are awesome together as a tag team and opponents. Until Morrison can get his act outside of the ring together I doubt he'll hold the WWE Title. Even Bret Hart with his raspy ass voice could cut a passable promo.

Do I believe that John Morrison will win the WWE title? Yes I do, I think he's become the Jeff Hardy of the 10's. I think that people love the high holy hell out of him and want to see him succeed. The same way people did Jeff Hardy. I just don't think he's ready. I personally believe that you win the WWE title by the following ways: Being the best WRESTLER (Bret Hart, Ric Flair), being the most MARKETABLE (Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin), or just the plain DEMAND by the fans (RVD, Jeff Hardy). John Morrison, at this point in time, falls under the DEMAND category, but I think in the future he could fall under the most MARKETABLE. I think Morrison will be the WWE or World Heavyweight Champion ONE DAY, I just don't think that day is today.

Okay people Wrestlemania is now just 24 hours away. And so we come to the finale of our COUNTDOWN TO WRESTLEMANIA 27. This has been super fun to re watch some of these matches and to really put some thought and effort into all of this. SO without further ado the final installment of the count down.

Wrestlemania 21 (2005)
Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels
It's not very often that a match builds up so much hype and so much talk and then lives up to it. That wasn't the case at Wrestlemania 21. The story these two built was very similar to the story that Y2J and HBK built at WM XIX. But the difference was the execution. HBK and Y2J was a teacher vs. student type deal. This match between arguably the two BEST wrestlers EVER was jaw dropping. It was exciting, it was what wrestling should be. Technical, entertaining, and competitive. If this was the only wrestling match of 2005 I would have been okay. HBK and Kurt Angle two of the all time greats!

Wrestlemania 22 (2006)
Edge vs. Mick Foley
Hardcore Match
With all the twist and turns during the build towards WM 22 you knew you were about to get something awesome from these two guys. Foley and Edge don't care about their bodies, and this match proved it. Making it's long awaited return to WWE was BARBED WIRE and THUMBTACKS and probably the most amazing sight of all FIRE! This was probably one of the best hardcore matches in WWE history. I think it was THIS MATCH that gave the WWE higher ups the "go ahead" with Edge.
(HONORABLE MENTION: Triple H/John Cena, Triple H truly got the best out of Cena this night and it would take a whole year in order for somebody else to get the same if not better result)

Wrestlemania 23 (2007)
John Cena (c) vs. Shawn Michaels
WWE Championship
It's not often at all that you'll see a Cena match on the GREATEST MATCH list, but when you're facing Mr. Wrestlemania himself, it's just all too easy to steal the show. HBK and Cena put on a CLASSIC. And I mean a CLASSIC. I was even impressed with Cena's win over HBK. Shawn busted out the Piledriver and everything else he could, but like his buddy HHH the year before, Super Cena was just TOO MUCH. But that's okay. I think between his WM victories over HHH and HBK John Cena was now UNDOUBTFULLY the face of the WWE.

Wrestlemania 24 (2008)
Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels
This WM has a very near and dear place in my heart. Being that it was my very first WM I felt it was an honor. Now I won't lie some of it was lackluster, but then came this one. HBK and Ric Flair. Was it the BEST HBK match? Nope. Was it the BEST Ric Flair match? Nope. What made it so great? The emotion. Everybody knew Ric Flair was going to lose. It was no question. But watching it live and in person and all around the world was something magical. The close of up HBK telling Ric Flair "I'm sorry, I love you" is just great TELEVISION. Forget wrestling. TELEVISION. Grade A stuff here. I will consider this Ric Flair's LAST MATCH. Period. I was there. I saw it. We chanted "Thank You Ric" for at least 10 minutes. Tears were shed. This match was the heart and soul of WM 24.
(HONORABLE MENTION: Edge/UT. Had the crowd not been so emotionally drained from HBK/Flair this match would've garnered a better response but by this point everybody was tired.)

Wrestlemania 25 and 26 (2009 and 2010)
The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels (I and II)
I've decided to just combine these two, as in reality there was no question. These two matches were the PERFECT wrestling matches. Period. A great story that was mostly told IN THE RING. Here on EWN I have OPENLY critized how there was little to no story line to these matches, but after some thought and input from the IWC I have back paddled and retracted my statement in the sense that the storyline was simpley HBK and UT. These two are so great that they don't need a storyline besides their own damn names. These two matches were amazing. And I do believe both were rated 5 stars. To me 5 stars wasn't enough.

Wrestlemania 27 (2011)
Triple H vs. The Undertaker
It's no secret. It's not trying to be hidden. Triple H vs. Undertaker is THE MATCH that will steal the show. It's what they're building on. I wouldn't expect anything less then 20 minutes here, and I wouldn't expect just a damn good wrestling match. Sure it's No Holds Barred, but that just gives Triple H an excuse to hammer out UT's brain and then have the Deadman kick out. I fear that WWE will make a mistake here though. I feel that if UT/HHH doesn't CLOSE the show, then the crowd will be dead and tired for the main event of Miz/Cena. They have done this twice recently (WM 24 and WM 25) and I think that this MAY be the case again this year. BUT that's not taking the ROCK factor into consideration.
WINNER: The Undertaker

WRESTLEMANIA 27 PREDICTIONS
John Morrison,Trish Stratus,Snooki vs. Laycool and Dolph Ziggler
Winners: Snooki's Team (DUH! Celebrities DON'T LOSE!)

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes
Winner: Rey Mysterio

CM Punk vs. Randy Orton
Winner: Randy Orton

Sheamus (c) vs. Daniel Bryan (US TITLE)
Winner: Sheamus

The Corre vs. Kane,Big Show, Santino, Kozlov
Winners: Corre

Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. Michael Cole
Winner: Jerry "The King" Lawler

Triple H vs. Undertaker
Winner: Undertaker

Edge (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio (World Title)
Winner: Alberto Del Rio

The Miz (c) vs. John Cena (MME Title) <-----GET IT?
Winner: The Miz
(I normally don't bet against Super Cena on PPV but I got a hunch)

So last week we looked at Wrestlemania I-X (85-94) this week we're just going to dive right into Wrestlemania XI-XX (95-04)

Wrestlemania XI (1995)
Diesel(c) vs. Shawn Michaels
WWF Title
Again, the world of professional wrestling found itself in a slump. Nobody cared about anything that was being done ins ANY federation. But at Wrestlemania XI HBK and Big Daddy Cool gave WWF Fans their money worth. Even though the main focus of Wrestlemania XI was LT vs. Bam Bam, HBK and Diesel showed the world why THEY are fighting for the WWF title, and they continued the process Bret Hart and Ric Flair started in 92 by bringing the WWF Title prestige.
HBK was Diesel's best opponent.

Wrestlemania XII (1996)
Bret "Hitman" Hart(c) vs. Shawn Michaels
WWF Title
60 Minute Iron Man Match
If Ricky Steamboat and Randy Savage defined what great wrestling was in 1987, 9 years later HBK and Bret Hart defined what great wrestling was in 1996. HBK and Bret Hart brought out the best in each other (in the ring) and the worst of each other (outside). Like Steamboat and Savage, every true wrestling fan has this match AT LEAST once. And if you haven't you need to.

Wrestlemania 13 (1997)
Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve
"I Quit" Match
In 1997 the WWF was openly getting their ass beat down by WCW. And there wasn't a single superstar that could turn the tide for them. That was until Wrestlemania 13 and the birth of the Austin..I mean Attitude era began! This match is nasty, brutal, bloody, and down right amazing. This match is what a lot of guys consider Austin's shining moment. And I don't disagree. It wouldn't be long after this match that Stone Cold began to vie for the WWF title, and it would only be one year later that Steve Austin would win it. This match, was truly the star of the show.

Wrestlemania XIV (1998)
The Undertaker vs. Kane
Though Undertaker's win streak is known and recognized at Wrestlemania his matches honestly weren't AMAZING. Nothing horrible, but nothing really to write home about and NOTHING to write in the marquee (except for his WM 13 WWF Title match). It wasn't until Wrestlemania 14 that Undertaker's match TRULY stole the show. His match with Kane was the match that EVERYBODY was looking forward to, and it delivered. Sure HBK and Austin closed the night and had the most hype thanks to Mike Tyson, but it was the battle of brothers that in my eyes made Wrestlemania 14 as great as it was.
(HONORABLE MENTION: HBK/Austin good match. NOT GREAT. But damnit any guy that can work a match with that much VISIBLE pain on his face deserve honorable mention. PLUS my blog, I can honorably mention who I please)

Wrestlemania XV (1999)
The Rock(c) vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin
WWF Title
I'd like to say that I think this Wrestlemania should be ranked with one of the worst Wrestlemania's ever. Just bland really. But it was noticeable for the very first WWF Title Match meeting between Austin and Rock. The two BIGGEST names of the late 1990's and early 2000's. These two guys tore into each other and just gave us a piece of what was to come later. This match was the best BY FAR on a night that also held X-Pac vs. Shane O' Mac.

Wrestlemania 2000(16) (2000)
The Dudley Boys(c) vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian
WWF Tag Team Titles
Triangle Ladder Match
WOW. What can I really say about this match that hasn't already been said? This match was just amazing! And what made it REALLY amazing is that the entire Wrestlemania was awesome. This is my personal favorite Wrestlemania. These 6 guys tore down the house and won over the hearts of millions and millions. It was this match that ushered in the Golden Age of Tag Team Wrestling. Jeff Hardy's Swanton HAS to be on EVERYBODY's Wrestlemania moments list. What isn't as recognized is Matt Hardy's INSANE bump from the top of the scaffold. That was just straight up sick. This entire match is worth a watch. No doubt THIS match stole the show.
(HONORABLE MENTION: HHH/Foley/Rock/Big Show, great great great Main Event. Was ALMOST the match that made the list.
HONORABLE MENTION: Y2J/Angle/Beniot. Did you read those names? I shouldn't have to say more)

Wrestlemania X7 (2001)
The Dudley Boys (c) vs. The Hardy Boyz(c) vs. Edge and Christian
WWF Tag Team Titles
TLC II
When you can basically have the same match on 3 different cards. And 2 of those cards are Wrestlemania's (Summerslam was the other) you know you have something special. EXTREMELY special. This match was just....orgasmic. (Yeah I said it) And some of the spots here are just jaw dropping. Edge's spear to a hanging Jeff Hardy leaves you going "you're f**king kidding right?!) Wrestlemania 2000's match was so nice they had to do it twice, and what a rematch it was.
(HONORABLE MENTION: Angle/Beniot, this was a great VERY techinical match. Hell they should have used a point system.
HONORABLE MENTION: Austin/Rock 2 was incredible minus the Vince McMahon ending)

Wrestlemania X-8 (2002)
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock
I've tried very hard to stay away from Hogan during this list, but dude when you get it right, you get it right, and at Wrestlemania X8...Hogan and Rock got it right! The build up alone to this story was just like WOW. The NWO ramming a semi into the ambulance had me screaming "HOLY SH&*" for weeks. The crowd honestly makes this match as amazing as it is. The back and forth of this crowd is almost as amazing to listen to as the match is to watch. This match SHOULD'VE ended Wrestlemania In what I consider to be one of Rock's last REAL matches it was one of his best. I'd also like to say that this was one of Hogan's best matches as well.
(HONORABLE MENTION: Y2J/HHH could've been an awesome feat, but after Rock/Hogan everybody was drained. Nobody could've topped that.)

Wrestlemania XIX (2003)
Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels
In his second WRESTLING match since his return HBK went head on with Y2J and man it was something to watch. Seeing HBK and Y2J battle on a Wrestlemania stage where the card was JACKED is something else. Y2J was one of HBK's best opponents and I think sometimes people forget that. This match shows how well the two gell together. I've debated with my friends that Y2J should've won this match as a true passing of the torch to Y2J, but what they did later in 2008 was good enough for me. This match had A LOT of competition in making the show stealing list, but Mr. Wrestlemania and Y2J prove to the world they are two of the best in the world at what they do.
(HONORABLE MENTION: Kurt Angle/Brock Lesnar, those two guys are animals. They're not human.
HONORABLE MENTION: Stone Cold/The Rock. These two gave their all in what turned out to be Steve's last match)

I am literally staring at the screen trying to think about this next one.
Literally just watched both matches in contention and am still NO CLOSER to a decision.
Just rewatched both matches and am no closer.
Okay choice has been made

Wrestlemania XX (2004)
Triple H(c) vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Beniot
WWE World Heavyweight Title
Triple Threat Match
Before I start this I'd like to point the following out. Beniot's death had NOTHING to do with my choice. And there for any comments on his death WILL be deleted.
NOW THEN
WOW! What a triple threat match. What a performance these three gave. HBK's moonsault to the outside. The double suplex to Beniot through the table. Oh man, just wow. This was at the height of HBK vs. Triple H and then you throw in Beniot it just was truly something special. Being a HUGE Chris Beniot fan it was something extremely special. To see him FINALLY win the big one was great. He deserved it. And the WWE gave it to him TEN TIMES better then WCW did.
(HONORABLE MENTION: Angle/Guerrero. God That was really hard to decide between the two. I watched both matches, TWICE, and feel that I could've gone either way.)

So there you have volume 2.
Next week is Wrestlemania and the final installment of this series. You're gonna see Wrestlemania 21 (2005)- Wrestlemania 26 (2010) and I will give my thoughts on the show stealer of 2011 and MAYBE predictions. If you guys wanna hear em.
Love it? Hate it? Disagree? Agree? I wanna hear it below guys.

I recently acquired the new "True Story of Wrestlemania" and while every other Monday and Friday night I turn off my TV disappointed, I've always had this theory that whenever I buy a WWE DVD I will NEVER be disappointed. After watching the documentary on the DVD I was NOT disappointed and actually feel hyped up for Wrestlemania in 3 weeks!

So in honor of Wrestlemania 27 and the new WWE DVD I felt a creative surge of energy to take a look back at the matches that MADE Wrestlemania what it is today. Now before you write this off as a "Best Of..." list, let me make this clear, IT'S NOT!

The following 3 installments are the matches that I feel "stole" their respective Wrestlemania's. Now I won't lie some of these WILL be obvious (WM3) and some of these WILL be the closing match (WM26). I will be starting at Wrestlemania I in 1985 and go all the way to Wrestlemania X in 1994 this week. Next Saturday I will go from Wrestlemania XI to Wrestlemania XX. Finally the Saturday BEFORE Wrestlemania 27 I will go from Wrestlemania 21 to Wrestlemania 26 AND give my predictions on what match will steal the show at Wrestlemania 27.

Wrestlemania I (1985)
Hulk Hogan and Mr.T vs. Paul Orndorff and Roddy Piper
So after watching the ENTIRE first Wrestlemania in it's entirety let me say that if you've never seen there's really no NEED to unless your a wrestling enthusiast. Wrestlemania I is truly a LANDMARK in wrestling history, but not so much for it's match content. This match, really isn't the greatest match ever, hell that Donald Trump vs. Rosie O' Donlad match on RAW was a little better, but the match up truly was the greatest on the card that night and "stole the show" (you'll see this phrase a lot).

Wrestlemania II (1986)
The Dream Team (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Brutus Beefcake) <c> vs. The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid)
WWF Tag Team Championship
Wrestlemania II was a little harder to find a "show stealing" match because again, this Wrestlemania was a little bland. But after watching the event in full, the match that really kept me entertained with this tag team match. The Bulldogs truly are one of the most UNDER RATED tag teams of all time, and this match proves it perfectly. And in the midst of a card that was full of gimmicks (Battle Royals, Boxing Matches, and Cage Matches) this match is truly a great tag team WRESTLING match.

Wrestlemania III (1987)
"Macho Man" Randy Savage <c> vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat
WWF Intercontinental Championship
Wrestlemania III was built around Andre The Giant vs. Hulk Hogan. We all know this, and to be honest we all know that Steamboat and Savage STOLE this entire card with their EPIC EPIC encounter for what was once the most prestigious title ever. Savage/Steamboat started the trend at Wrestlemania III that ONE MATCH has to steal the show. And every year since then one match has. If you've NEVER seen Savage/Steamboat at WM III, you need to.

Wrestlemania IV (1988)
Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. "Ravishing" Rick Rude
Wrestlemania IV, the 14 man Tournament to crown a new WWF Champion...WHAT A CLUSTER F*&^! If you've never seen THIS Wrestlemania, I suggest you don't. The crowd is dead most of the night, and to be honest it's quite a confusing execution, BUT if you don't watch any of Wrestlemania IV, at least take the time out to watch this 15 minute draw classic between two of the most under rated superstars in the history of WWF/E history. Both men truly give it their all in this one. And while Rude is NOT the greatest in the ring and neither is Roberts the physiology is there and this match proves it. And if you doubt that these two men are great, it should be noted here that Rude/Roberts was the LONGEST match up of the night at 15 minutes. And when you're on a card with 16 matches all together, 15 minutes is a LONG TIME.

Wrestlemania V (1989)
"Mr. Perfect" Curt Henning vs. The Blue Blazer (Owen Hart)
So when Vince McMahon makes a mistake, he's gotta know it right? Well bringing Wrestlemania V BACK to Trump Plaza was a HUGE one, because again the crowd is pretty much dead. And even though this match up is actually short (clocking in at only 5 minutes and 30 seconds) these 2 guys were WAY before their time. Blazer and Henning tore down the house in a short time, and if given the right amount of time this match COULD'VE lived in Wrestlemania history, instead it's limited to a hidden gem.
(HONORABLE MENTION: Macho Man vs. Hogan was a great match as well if you enjoy 80's style wrestling.)

Wrestlemania VI (1990)
Hulk Hogan <c> vs. The Ultimate Warrior <c>
WWF Intercontinetal Championship
WWF Championship
So if the Triple Threat match was invented before 1990 the only name that could've made this match bigger would've been Savage. Warrior and Hogan in a CLASSIC 1980's wrestling match that truly is an amazing feat to watch. Sure it's full of closelines and body slams, but the emotion that these two put into it was amazing. This match NO DOUBT took the gold in 1990.

Wrestlemania VII (1991)
The Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Janetty) vs. The Barbarian and Haku
It's not often that the opening match up will be the best on the card, but in this case it really was. This match was a great fast paced match with The Rockers selling the strength and power of Barbarian and Haku to a T. And in their final Wrestlemania appearance The Rockers take the show in a true tag team art fashion

Wrestlemania VII (1992)
Bret "Hitman" Hart vs.. Roddy Piper <c>
WWF Intercontinental Championship
Before I became a wrestling fanatic I never knew WHY Hot Rod was considered a great, I just knew that he was an old timer who needed to be cheered when he appeared on RAW. After watching Hart/Piper at WM 8 for again one of the most prestigious titles at the time, you can see why he was one of the top draws. He and Hart tear down the dome on a night when, two huge matches took place. But after watching this performance by Bret AND after becoming the very first man to pin Roddy Piper in YEARS, Hart went on to headline Summerslam that year in London with Bulldog, and then win the WWF title. Is that coincidence? Hell no!
(HONORABLE MENTION: Flair vs. Savage, SHOULD have closed the show! Instead we were bored with Hogan and Justice)

Wrestlemania IX (1993)
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) vs. The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu)
It's not often Scott Steiner will be on a "best of" compilation unless of course he and his brother Rick were teaming up. The Steiners and Headshrinkers were in what a lot of people called a "throw away" match, a match that was meant for guys to go take a piss. But in a match that clocks in at 14 minutes and 22 seconds I don't think that was the case. These two teams were big and bad but all four guys extremely athletic. The Steiner Brothers are the only tag team to win the WWF,WCW,and IWGP Tag Titles BEFORE WCW was bought out, and there's a reason for that. This match proves it.
(HONORABLE MENTION: Shawn Michaels vs. Tantanka for the IC opened the PPV and was a GREAT match proving 2 things: 1. The IC title was STILL the most prestigious title around 2.) Shawn Michaels would be a player to come for a long time)

Wrestlemania X (1994)
Razor Ramon <c> vs. Shawn Michaels <c>
WWF Intercontinental Championship
The entire wrestling world was in a slump. Nobody cared about it. Buy rates and attendance were below average. Yet here at Wrestlemania X came the match of the decade. Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon will be in the Hall of Fame IF FOR NO OTHER REASON this match at least. These two guys stole the show, and maybe the next ten shows afterwards due to this match. Before Jeff Hardy there was HBK and before Edge there was Razor Ramon. These two guys tore down the house at WM 10 and proved 2 things (similar to the 2 things HBK proved at LAST years Wrestlemania)1. HBK would be a player for a long time to come and 2.) The Intercontinental title held the most prestige. Scott Hall could've been WWF Champion. He COULD'VE been a main player, but the lust for money power and booze took it all away from him.
(HONORABLE MENTION: Bret vs. Owen Hart in the GREATEST opening match ever! The longest on the card that night. Bret Hart won the WWF title from Yokozuna later that night, but if you ask me Bret vs. Owen was the better match BY FAR and I will remember THAT match over the Yokozuna match.
Should also be noted here that this Wrestlemania was the first HARD one to decide because when I started this journey Bret vs. Owen had this slot.)

Next Saturday I'll have the second installment of this "COUNTDOWN" Wrestlemania 11-20.

Three years after Chris Beniot

Hey all EWN and IWC readers, I understand that it's been 3 years since the tragic death of Chris Beniot, BUT with the recent release of Chris...

Hey all EWN and IWC readers, I understand that it's been 3 years since the tragic death of Chris Beniot, BUT with the recent release of Chris Jericho's new book "Undisputed" (great read pick it up!) the thought of Chris Beniot has creeped back into people's mind.

The season of Wrestlemania is upon us, and a name that has become anonymous with Wrestlemania is also Chris Beniot due to the fact that he participated in one of the top 3 Main Event Matches of Wrestlemania History (HBK/UT II and HBK/Bret Hart are the other two IMO). Along with Wrestlemania comes the rich history as well. Multiple magazines and videos and etc. are released remembering past Wrestlemania's. My question is what the hell are they going to do with WWE Magazine where they're promoting "EVERY MATCH from EVERY WRESTLEMANIA"? What the hell are they gonna do for WM 2000 when Beniot Angle and Jericho tore up the place in a two falls triple threat match for the IC and European Title?
Or X-Seven? When Angle and Beniot but on a wrestling clinic?
Or WM XX when Beniot won the World Heavyweight Title?

All of these questions bring up the question that I intend of trying to answer: "Should the WWE 'blackout' Chris Beniot?"

My answer? Yes indeed they should. Let's take a look at why.

1.) Almost causing another govt. investigation of NOT ONLY WWE but the ENTIRE wrestling world.
When Chris Beniot did what he did to his family the entire country stood in awe of how and why this could happen, and one of the main points was drugs and steroids in wrestling. Now granted there are CLEARLY some juice heads in all of professional sports, none more evident then in the glorified body building business that is WWE.
So because of these investigations people who worked hard to get their bodies without steroids now can't be on TV or in the ring because people will believe that they are juiced up causing wrestlers to lose out on possible money opportunities to feed their families.

2.) Erasing the hard work of others.
There can't be a wrestling match without two people. Beniot (through his actions) have ruined the chance for younger audiences to enjoy some of his matches (unless they use Youtube or some other form of file sharing be it legal or illegal). What are these matches you ask? Well how about for starters: Money in the Bank I? In my honest opinion the GREATEST Money in the Bank Ladder Match in the history of all them. The match that gave Edge his ticket to the top. In twenty years Edge will have another DVD disc set come out and when the WWE or Edge wants to talk about his rise to the top they cannot put that match on the DVD. Why? Because Chris Beniot was the last man on the ladder before Edge took to a steel chair to him to win.

I recently bought the 10 Year Anniversary of Smackdown 3 Disc DVD set that counts down the 100 Greatest moments in Smackdown history. It includes some full length matches, one of them NOT being this classic match that SHOULD have been right at the top of the list.
TLC III- The Dudleyz vs. Edge and Christian vs. The Hardyz vs. Beniot and Jericho
The TLC match that injured Beniot's neck, the TLC that gave Y2J and Beniot the WWE tag titles and set up the injury that would change Triple H's career for ever. No longer can be watched on DVD unless you own a DVD that is pre 2007.

The Final Match on the list is one that maybe isn't remembered as much as it should be: Smackdown 11/18/05 Chris Beniot vs. Triple H. Why is this match up important? This was the closing match up to the Eddie Guerrero tribute Smackdown. A TRUE classic and testament to Beniot AND Hunter's skill. At the end of the match up Dean Malenko came down and stood in the ring and cried in remorse of losing their best friend Eddie Guerrero. A true moment that should test the sands of time, no longer will be viewed unless found on Youtube or on the VHS tape that sits in my bed room that contains both the RAW and Smackdown Guerrero tribute shows.

3.) Almost destroying the industry that he loved.
What many folks don't know or remember about the aftermath of the indecent is that the ENTIRE wrestling business was in a state of taboo. Here in my home town there are at least 3 "big" indy promotions and all three canceled their shows for the next few months unsure of how the fans would respond. And I know of a few other cities that shut down their wrestling community too in fear of losing more money then making any.

The entire WWE along with TNA re shuffled their cards, and had to re think what type of product they were going to put on the screen.

Should Beniot be black listed in the WWE? Yes. Yes he should, he alone almost tore down the entire buisness we all love.

Should Chris Beniot be remembered for the wrestler or the monster? My answer? Despite everything I've just said: The Wrestler. Chris Beniot the wrestler was one of THE best in the world EVER. Not a lot of people could match Beniot in the ring, and to this day not a lot of people can. Beniot was an amazing wrestler that should never be forgotten for the things he accomplished INSIDE the ring not the way he ended his life.

Howdy all again EWN Community. Your favorite TNA Creative Writer back again for another blog/rant.

Everybody wants to try and pinpoint what's wrong with the wrestling industry today. Lack of talent, direction, and staleness all come to mind. And all valid points.

I just acquired every WWF (that's WWE for you young folks) Pay Per View from 2001. The dreaded Invasion angle. Now I'm only at Wrestlemania X-7 a little more then half way through, and I've noticed something that is CLEARLY missing from WWE TV these days....STORIES.

Every match that I have watched so far has had a video package or JR and Paul Heyman talking about how things came to be. Hell even the Women's Title match between Ivory and Chyna had a video package. Every match MEANS something, there's a reason for it.

Now that's not to say that the current WWE and TNA PPV's don't have MEANINGFUL matches, but back in 2001 it just felt like everything meant MORE.

I guess I just miss the INTERESTING stories. I mean Ivory and Right to Censor "broke" Chyna's neck.
Laycool made fun of Natalya for being bigger :/
Y2J pissed in William Regal's tea.
Does anybody remember why Kofi and Ziggler fought for the IC title?

TNA on the other hand, tries TOO hard to be like cutting edge TV. TOO hard to be like Lost or The Event, gaping plot lines, confusing twist and turns that make NO SENSE, all with the promise of making sense of it later.

There really is no closing of this blog, just a rant I guess of how I miss how almost perfectly balanced everything in early 2001 was.

Lately everybody has been talking about how WWE has no new superstars or doesn't push their under card and how their is a lack of star power. Which arises the question: HOW TO WE PUSH/BUILD THESE GUYS INTO THE MAIN EVENT?!

And I think I have the answer.
It's not one you will like, because it DOESN'T necessarily involve Daniel Bryan or Kaval or anybody else we wanna push.

I think the answer is simple....we need to grab Seth Rollins from FCW. The RAW after Wrestlemania and have him destroy everybody in sight. And not some freaking jobbers, it won't work if Seth takes out Jack Russell and Dan News from (insert city RAW is in here). No no no, he needs to go and destroy Santino, Kozlov, Justin Gabriel, and Heath Slater. He needs to dominate them one week, and then come back the next week and dominate Mark Henry and Ted DiBiase. On the third week he comes out to dominate William Regal, Daniel Bryan comes out for the save.
Seth takes on Daniel Bryan one on one and wins via KO. Then gets a title shot at Bryan only to win by DQ due to Bryan snapping and beating him down with a chair. Finally they go one on one in a No DQ match for Rollins to win, (this is non title)
After that Rollins wins a WWE title shot via a tournament.
He goes on to face Triple H or John Cena for the WWE title at SummerSlam, and then....he wins it.

Now I understand what your thinking, "no no no thats way too soon" But here is where I tell that....this has already been done. Change the names, and add a fast talking, fat, bald manager, and you have....Brock Lesnar.

For ANYBODY to say that Brock Lesnar wasn't a HUGE superstar, would be ignorant. If the man was only in the company for two years, and Vince McMahon sent THE UNDERTAKER to a UFC fight to entice something between the two...the man is a star.

Now granted, doing that type of thing would only build one guy, so the next question is: How do you do that to more people? Simple: Just inject them straight into the main event scene.

Albert Del Rio, straight up came in, took out Rey Mysterio and less then 6 months later he had a World Title Shot, and people ACTUALLY believed he could win. I mean, people LITERALLY were gonna be ok with ADR walking out of TLC with the World title.

People we are in desperate need of superstars, SUPERSTARS. We don't have time to build them up in the mid card and etc.

And injecting people into the main event scene with creditable wins will instantly bring their name creditability. Look at Sheamus and John Morrison.

Jo-Mo won Tough Enough 3, and has been in the WWE almost 7 years now.
Sheamus, did like what 2 months on ECW, 1 month on RAW and then he was WWE champion.

BUT it wasn't until Jo-Mo started a program with Sheamus that people (the general audience) began to take him serious. And even with the loss Sheamus is still considered a main eventer.

So IMO, the best way to get new SUPERSTARS is to just inject them into the scene.

So after the Slammy's on RAW I felt the need to post my own awards on here, for viewership, but unlike WWE's award's, mine will NOT be regulated to WWE, but mainly spread throughout WWE and TNA.

LET'S BEGIN!

(Before I do, may I just say that these are MY THOUGHTS MY AWARDS! Feel free to agree to disagree!)

Who I missed the most this year
Batista (left WWE in May)
Shawn Michaels (left WWE in April)
Desmond Wolfe (left TNA in August though will be back)
The Undertaker (left WWE in April, returned in August left in October)
Triple H (left WWE in May)
Jim Ross (left WWE in October of 2009)
Winner:Triple H When RAW was floundering the most, which granted as been ALL YEAR, they needed one man desperately, a man that could lose every match for the rest of his career and not lose an once of credibility and that's Triple H.

Shining Star of the Year
Established superstars that have taken the most of their opportunities this year
Matt Morgan
Pope D'Angelo Dinero
The Miz
Jay Lethal
John Morrison
Ken Anderson
The MCMG
Winner: The Miz God it's hard not to give this award to ANY of these guys. Morgan, Pope, and Anderson all three have made themselves this year after getting screwed in WWE. And The greatest tag team of the 21st centure...TA DUM...the Miz and John Morrison are both just incredible, but considering that Miz is now the WWE Champion, hands down gets the shining star award.

New Comer of the Year
These are new comers to TNA or WWE not to the world of wrestling
Daniel Bryan
Kaval
Gen Me
Wade Barrett
Albert Del Rio
Winner: Wade Barrett Hands down Wade Barrett, for being some nobody to main eventing four pay per views, that's just simple amazing, AND NOT BEING SHOVED DOWN OUR THROATS! No sir and ma'm, we ASKED FOR HIM! Did we not? I know after Nexus made their debut I wanted all the Nexus I could. I wanted to see Nexus beat down the WORLD! And they did, with THIS MAN at their head. This guy, hands down newcomer of the year.

Best Theme Song
The Miz- "AWWWWWWWWESOME"
Cody Rhodes- "WOAH! YOUR ONLY SMOKE AND MIRRORS WOAH!"
Dolph Ziggler- "I AM PERFECTION!"
Zack Ryder- "o0o0o0o0oh radio0o0o0o0 tell me everything you know!"
Randy Orton- "I hear voices in my head..."
Winner: Zack Ryder God this was a close call between Rhodes and Ryder, but at the end of the day I still love the radio!

Tag Team of the Year
Motor City Machine Guns
Beer Money
Generation Me
The Hart Dynasty
Santino and Koslov
Winner: MCMG As if it were in question?

Face of the Year
Randy Orton
Daniel Bryan
Ken Anderson
Pope D'Angelo Dinero
John "Superman" Cena
Matt Morgan
Winner:Randy Orton What makes Orton a great face is that he's still the same guy he was last year just without Legacy. The FANS turned him face, not the WWE, and that's what it should be. The WWE listened to the fans for once.

Heel of the Year
Wade Barrett
The Miz
Michael Cole
Kane
Fortune
Jeff Hardy
Vickie Guerrero
Winner:Michael Cole The heat this man gets whenever he comes out is 1998 Mr. McMahon. SERIOUSLY. Michael Cole has bashed two great combatant labeled "internet greats". He has supported our current WWE champion since MITB. And has generated the most god awful fan based name ever in "Cole Miners" this man ladies and gentlemen no matter how bad he may be on the mic, can make or break you as a superstar, BELIEVE THAT!

Feud of the Year/Storyline of the Year
MCMG vs. Beer Money
MCMG vs. GenMe
THEY/10.10.10
Nexus
Sheamus vs. Triple H
Sheamus vs. John Morrison
Kurt Angle Climbing the Ranks of the top 10
Winner:Nexus This was probably one of the hardest for me to call because I really wanted to give it to the Guns and GenMe. And while both these storylines are rehashed (Nexus aka NWO) (GenMe/Guns aka Hardyz/EC 98-01) I think both are just awesome. But when I think of wrestling 2010 I will think of Nexus.

Who to watch in 2011
Matt Morgan
Pope D'Angelo Dinero
Ken Anderson
Daniel Bryan
John Morrison
Kaval
Dolph Ziggler
Seth Rollins(aka Tyler Black)
Albert Del Rio
Winner:John Morrison As 2010 comes to a close I look at two things: TLC this Sunday and TNA Genesis this upcoming January. And with John Morrison having a #1 Contenders match this Sunday in a match I HONESTLY think he WILL win I have NO DOUBT he will be like Jeff Hardy in 2008, without the suspension or bullshit, in the fact that he'll be getting a title shot in January and by the end of the year capture his first WWE/World Title.
LET ME JUST SAY THIS: Each and everybody on this list should be looked out for in 2010!

HOLY SHIT! of the Year
Shooting StaRKO
Jeff Hardy turns heel
Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair jump to TNA
Nexus
Kurt Angle's moonsault at Lockdown 2010
Bret Hart on RAW
TNA debuts a 4 sided ring
The Miz cashes in MITB and WINS
Sabu steals the show at Hardcore Justice
Winner:TNA Debuts a 4 sided ring This again was quite the conversation between me and my dad. While he firmly believed Nexus was the holy shit of the year, I firmly believe that to see TNA debut their 4 sided ring was my holy shit, only because it took TNA from THIS level, to this level. And a HUGE step in the wrong direction.

Superstar of the Year
John "Superman" Cena
Daniel Bryan
The Miz
Wade Barrett
Kurt Angle
Rob Van Dam
Jeff Hardy
Sheamus
Kane
AJ Styles
Randy Orton
Winner:Kurt AngleSometimes TNA f**ks up BIG! Other times TNA hits it on the head, and IMO they got Kurt Angle right on the money this year. He started off with two AMAZING matches with AJ Styles, and then tore up the ring with Ken Anderson. After taking a small LOA he then made us root for him for basically the entire year until October to climb the ranks of the top contenders to get the title. And unfortunately it didn't go as planned, but Angle made it work with a kick ass match with Jeff Hardy and another awesome match with Hardy and Anderson at BFG. Ladies and Gentlemen MY 2010 Superstar of the year is Kurt Angle.

MATCH OF THE YEAR
HBK vs. Undertaker (Streak vs. Career Wrestlemania 26)
AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle (TNA Title Impact 1/4/10)
John Morrison vs. Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz (US Title Triple Threat Match Submissions Count Anywhere Match HIAC)
MCMG vs. Beer Money (TNA Tag Titles Victory Road)
Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy (No Surrender)
Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu (Hardcore Justice)
Rob Van Dam vs. AJ Styles (Sacrifice)
MCMG vs. GenMe (Ultimate-X Match Destination-X)
Mickie James vs. Tara (Steel Cage Match Impact)

Before I post the winner let me just say this, I didn't think there was alot of AMAZING jaw dropping matches this year. Not at all, and just compiling this list to be reasonably sized (I was content to leave it at HBK/UT,Angle/AJ, and the Triple Threat match) was difficult, but as I compiled this list I've found a lot of these matches were extremly awesome and deserve this.
Winner:Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker Career vs. Streak Wrestlemania 26 HANDS DOWN.

Well this concludes my list of 2010 awards, and I hope everybody enjoyed the semi long read. Till next time!
